Being born in 1985 in the uk my first memories of football were the Italian Football on Channel 4 on a Sunday.
I’d always watch it religiously the Football Italiano at 12 then the game at 2 or whenever it kicked off ..
The Seria A for me in the 90s had the best players and most technical gifted players in the world.
Gullit, Boban, Maldini, Signiori, Lombardo, Fonseca. Weah the list is endless...
But the best was Roberto Baggio, his way of playing the game, vision , touch, pass, dribble, accuracy, timing were phenomenal.
I personally enjoyed him more at Brescia , he was older and legs had gone but he still had the football brain
I still always buy Diadora boots also the touch from the kangaroo leather is better than the synthetic shite Adidas and Nike make but it’s all about preference I suppose.
Anyway ... I’ll be buying these boots this week!

Maradona was by far the best player in the world the 2nd half of the 80s..then Baggio took up his mantle in 90 to mid nineties as by far the best player in the world
They said about Maradonna that he won the World cup 1986 for Argentina on his own. However there was no player in the history of footbal who was able to literally take the national team through eight final, quater final and the semifinal on his own. Too bad that Roberto didn't score in the over time of quater final WTC 98 against France when he got into the good position. I am pretty sure that right after that in semifinal against Croatia he'd score again two goals instead of Thuram and than in the final he'd score two maybe three goals against Brasil instead of Zidane and he'd win the golden ball in 98 instead of Zidane like he had really deserved. Robby, TO ME, YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!! ;-)

My favourite footballer ever. If a prime, fit Baggio was playing today, he'd probably be at least one of the top 3 players in the world. Just imagine how his career might've gone without the many injuries he suffered, could easily see him succeeding in Spain or England.
Baggio would never leave Italy though and during the 90s the Italian league was the best in the world
