- Watch KSRTC's Electric bus journey from Mysuru to Bengaluru via the new Mysuru - Bengaluru Expressway. KSRTC recently launched the Olectra electric buses for Intercity routes. As of now there is only bus running on Bengaluru to Mysuru route. The Electric bus does only two trips for the day and then will run again the next day. As of now KSRTC is checking the performance of these buses. Hence, only bus is running on Bengaluru to Mysuru route. This bus leaves from KSRTC Majestic bus stand by 6:45 am from Bus Terminal 2, platform no.6. It will then go to Mysuru road bus stand and leave from Mysuru road bus stand by 7:30 am. It takes exactly 2 hours to reach from Bengaluru to Mysuru, thanks to the new expressway. Moreover, the bus runs at 100+ speeds most of the time. It did between 100 - 110 kmph during my journey. The bus fare is Rs. 320 from Majestic & Rs. 300 from Mysuru Road bus stand. The bus will reach Mysuru bus stand by 9:30 am and then leave towards Mysuru bus depot for charging & then again come to Mysuru bus stand. It leaves from Mysuru Bus stand at 12 pm and will reach Majestic by 2:30 pm. The pricing is less than KSRTC Airavat and slightly more than KSRTC Airavat bus. Hence, it should attract people. Moreover, the seats are also very comfortable. They look premium and is comfrotable too. Most of the passengers were happy with the bus service. As it dropped on time. This bus does not halt at any other bus stands apart the final stop. As of now the bus is driver by Olectra person as its still being tested. I was informed that from 20th Feb onwards mostly KSRTC staff will drive. So dont knw if the bus will run at the same speed as before.
Safety features includes: CCTV Cameras, Fire Extinguisher, Emergency button, Rear view & side view camera, hammer etc.

Looks like it’s a normal 50kw charger. There are 360kw charging systems available in india also and many have advertised on IG that they’re capable of manufacturing and delivering 360kw charging systems. High time KSRTC switched over to either a 240 or a 360kw charging system to enable greater number of trips and thereby wean people away from IC engined vehicles.. great video, loved it. Actually they can also allow cars like the ioniq 5, EV6 and even the XC40 recharge, which can take up upto 240kw charging easily and KSRTC can earn money on the side with that arrangement and EV owners also would be benefiting from it. Mutually beneficial I must say… lovely video…

I don't think that KSRTC will have their own drivers for these electric buses said by one of KSRTC conductor in majestic According to the contract:
So they'll run buses with drivers by whom the company appoints
As it is lease or rent basis KSRTC will pay them a certain amount (someone said it's 55 per km) other than that only the conductors are been appointed by KSRTC itself
From maintenance till drivers everything should be managed by bus company in this case that's Olectra
So I don't think so there would be speed lock as they are not completely run by KSRTC
Just my thought n shared some information which I know not sure how accurate it is..
