At the age of 52 after years of savings, I have achieved my perfect 3 watch collection ( some might call it boring ) - Omega Speedmaster 3861 Hesalite, Omega Seamaster 300 professional white dial and the Omega Aqua Terra 41 blue dial
Nobody is fun enough to call others collection boring
That is solid
Nice!
That collection is stunning , in no way boring !
I would be delighted to say that’s my collection
I love cathedral hands. Totally drew me in to the Alpinist and the Hamilton Murph. Baby Alp and Murph 38mm are both in the running for my 50th birthday watch.
I want that 38mm Murph but I need the eureka second hand!
Seriously though….what’s the name of the cologne????
So what was the cologne?
The picture of the prx wasnt an automatic one...
Prx shown was quartz…all automatic have waffle dial both 35mm and 40mm
Loved the collection progression, can't wait for more! 🙌🏼⌚
Great video
Love that Rolex date with the gold textured case and bracelet. Not seen it before. Thank you for sharing.
I thought the Grand Seiko 2023 release of the platinum SBGZ009 with the white birch texture case was original. But now I see Rolex have played in similar spaces before.
Vermeil (Silver-gilt in english) is not a proprietary term of Cartier. It's just a french word for gold plated silver. It exists for a long time (even in ancient Greece).
I caught that too. I’ve heard someone else mention it was proprietary before and just assumed it was a common misconception
Love these videos!!
What is the cologne? I would appreciate knowing lol
Yes, now this will ruin me 😅
Yes, we all want to know!
The Alpinist absolutely has to have cathedral hands as does the Oris pointer date.
Well the first one didn't, so I'm gonna have to disagree
@@Cheeseiest1 that's fine, we can all have an opinion. I just associate those hands with those watches. Seiko skx hands, longines legend diver hands, CW hands, tudor hands (regardless of if you like the snowflake) or Doxa hands. I'm just happy when not every watch has Mercedes or snowflake hands.
Without the cathedral hands, the Alpinist is less interesting. It becomes just another field watch which most people would mistake for a Timex.
Hint. When you are talking about the watch, have the watch on the screen. If you are talking about something else, you can show your faces. Otherwise its very very annoying.
lol I thought this atleast once this episode..
My actual collection (built in 5 years):
-Omega speedmaster (hesalite)
-Rolex datejust 41mm (silver dial)
-Rolex Explorer 36mm
-Rolex Yatch-Master 42mm yellow gold
-Cartier Santos 37 mm in rose gold
-Seiko Astron 10th aniversary (titanium Watch and cherry blossom dial)
-Seiko Prospex SPB299J1
Waiting for a batman currently
Thats it, good jorney guys!
could it be even more boring?
@@MrCavalorn Yeah, add a daytona.
wow you must either make a lot of money or be very bad with money. congrats either way!
@@lloydirving6209 Im not the best with money, but not bad. I have some properties at rent in Portugal currently and a mid size farm. Also finishing a Phd in Public Policies, that all sum is in 250k 300k € year after tax. Enough to make a good life
@@MrCavalorn im a boring kind of man 🥲
Great stuff
Three keepers in my Collection; Ploprof Ti, GS Lion Chrono, Panerai Rafiomir California Green Dial.
Thanks for the feature!
I like the cathedral hands on my SARB017 And I do like seikos and even Hamiltons continued use of the style
How do you get a $2400/mo check for anosmia?!
Is it just me, but I went to the theo and harris watch shop and couldn't find any jlc.
I was interested as well and didn’t see it. I guess it depends on how long ago they filmed this video vs. when it was posted and someone snagged the watch. Or it’s new and they haven’t listed it yet.
@@VMIyanks04 Based on the reference to the zero talk on Tuesday, this seems to be recorded this week on Monday. So probably not up on the website yet I think
I would put a JLC Atmos in the last category as well. Cheers!
Cathedral hands are also used on Oris Big Crown Pointer Date and it’s awesome! 👌🏻👌🏻
I’ve tried looking on the site but I can’t see what model that vintage JLC is.
Can anyone help?
A Voutilainen decimal repeater is my "drop the mic'' dream! I even named my dog Kari. I don't think I will be playing around in that price range anytime soon, however.
This Omega Contellation Electronic is an absolute pain to take care of and service, but man, look how beautiful it is....
the picture of prx tissot wrong, u said it is automatic, but on the picture is quartz model
The seamaster chronograph is a beautiful watch, but with 35 mm case it seems too thick to me on my wrist for a small watch.
I therefore prefer chronographs around 40mm.
I wear 35 mm watches, but only flat 3 hand watches.
Florentine comes really from being from the city where they pass the technique from generation to generarion of jewelers. It goes fron jewelry even into some special furniture and needs special tools until today etc.
I fell into the "3-4 watch collector" space having anymore than that makes it feel impossible to rotate them with sufficient use but the 4 in my collection is a rolex air king 5500 ref. Cartier ronde solo/ tank must and a jlc reverso monoface with the exception of a b&m Hampton that's TBD
Cathedral hands are on the best starter watches. The alpinist, the murph, the big crown pointer
"how are they gona knoooooow??" my same thoughts process every time I wear a gold watch ahaha
The Oris Big Crown Pointer Date also has cathedral hands.
That watch was first introduced in 1938, so the cathedral hands make perfect sense! I have one with a blue dial and it’s gorgeous!!
Speedmaster (Sapphire)
Submariner (No date)
Grand Seiko SBGY013
I hated cathedral hands, but when i saw the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date that statement changed quick
My 'Eureka' Murph has cathedral hands, it's my only watch with those and i honestly love how they look... well, everything about that watch to be honest. Couple the Murph being what it is (my wife and I both have strong connections to Interstellar) with it being a birthday gift from my family, it means even more to me.
These guys like the Tissot digital, so i wouldn’t take their opinion to heart. Cathedral hands are ace. I have the Murph 38, it’s a beauty.
Cathedral hands on round case watches look funny to me. On square, rectangular or tonneau they seem to fit better.
"A healthy collection evolution"...I will use this on my wife when asked about another watch (or guitar) purchase.
I laughed way too hard at the picnic thing
That last watched looked similar to the Hamilton Ventura
I congratulate you Sirs for the most sublime, smoothest segue advertisement .
I am not being sarcastic ( for once).
I’m just here for the cologne
Vertex m100, Longines Heritage Sector, Seiko Spb213
I have owned, used, and treasured 18 G-Shock quartz watches from rare to limited edition.they ranged in price from thousand to hundreds In addition, I owned 5 automatic watches: Tudor Longines, Tissot, Omega, and Breitling
Just a month ago, I dropped my Tissot automatic watch and it started to run five to ten minutes faster. I had to get it serviced and repaired. However, I dropped a number of my G shock watches multiple times without ever having to send them in to be fixed.
The only things that separate an Automatic watch from a Quartz watches are their longevity and how fragile they are when dropped; because of this, I do take great care to avoid dropping any more of my other automatic watches.
What’s the cologne?!
What is the cologne? 😂
Christian with the Goyard phone case. :P
When I got into watches, it was all about Rolex, had a couple, made me feel great. But deep down it was all about impressing other people.
Moved to Omega, love them, flys under the radar and beautiful. But I never really connected with Omega.
Now my taste has changed completely and JLC is the next step for me, they are beautifully made, elegant and timeless. Not overly flashy, but if you know, you know.
What I have realised on my journey, is that watches have been very transactional until now. I want a watch I connect with, but isn’t for other people. I am looking for a watch / brand that I will have forever and hand down to my children.
I would say that JLC is now overpriced.. they’re losing the plot
@@YounanPhoto i got a MUT date from an ad back in 2019 and agree to an extent. I think they were way underpriced for way too long. There is no logical reason a datejust should be more than a jlc with 3 hands and a date when one is a finish/slightly decorated movement and one is a rolex.
Try to have a look at H.Moser. The way their watches feel in the hands is just incredible. It's definitely under the radar, but you will have a smile on your face every time, you put it on.
Nah!! All luxury watches are overrated. I was heavily into Omega. Owned many Seamasters, several speedies- Moon watch and MkII. WW2 dirty dozen and even a Concorde Flightmaster. The brand did nothing for me either. I sold all of them and got into Rolex and JLC. I now own 7 Rolexes and 2 JLCs. Subs, Sea Dweller, Explorer I & II, OP, Daytona white gold, Reverso Duo, Memovox.
I recently bought two of the Swatch Fifty Fathoms -Atlantic and Antarctic. Now I just wear my cheap bio-ceramic Swatches. The Rolex and JLC sit in the watchbox and winder.
All you need is a Swatch. Save your money. Spend it on your health instead.
I get it. I've become a Grand Seiko fanboy, but most people don't even recognize it as a luxury watch.
CW aquitaine color scheme is very close to the laventure transatlantique GMT's one... like too close type of close
If you send your Rolex to Rolex for a service and they swap out the original parts for new parts is it still considered a "FrankinWatch"?
No.
Not not at all but but it will become less desirable. Originality is everything with Rolex. Especially vintage Rolex.Just look at the price differences with a 5513 that has a service dial instead of an original dial. The price difference is huge
Five years ago, I was that Mark guy who just wanted a watch (having been living in Switzerland for 5+ years at that time), and walked into an AD and walk out with a Mark VIII Le Petit Prince
ok but you really need to share what the fragrance is....
Take the carhedral hands out of that alpinist line (not the Laurel reissue) and you kill the watch
You guys should get really high and do an episode. 😊
Aren’t they already? 😂
They found time to do a video , despite it being the very busy official 'Man From Glad' day.
how about these new ceramic zodiac watches?
Christian sounds like he is opening a segment on 60 minutes! ;)
where's Mr. Theo's Nomos or GrandSeiko?
Hey Michael, why you have "dirty kid" in Hungarian tattooed on your arm?
Current collection: Omega Speedmaster “Moonwatch” Sapphire, Tudor Black Bay “Heritage”, and Garmin Fenix 5.
Next watch…
35 mm gold auto prx is peak tissot
Pre shown was a quartz...
Hamikton Khaki Field Murph uses cathedral hands and they’re great
No I don't think so
Le Labo lys 41?
Best mvmt
Vincero
and daniel Wellington good best 3
My three watch collection.....Rolex 124060 and the 124060 and the 124060...the real sub
Chandler says : "could I be more enthusiastic about this particular T&H sponsor". C'mon Michael and Theo, give us a break here 😊
Forget the watches these two need to by on a comedy club tour.
“fractional ownership” isn’t ownership
Thinking the same. It's just another way of the rich getting richer. Probably tax deductible too.
Ladies sized De Bethune is called a Ventura lol
Explorer/Seamaster/reverso
Daily diver dress

COLOGNE COLOGNE COLOGNE
Not gonna lie: the first time I saw your channel, my first question was, who's Theo and who's Harris? 😂Anosmia sucks. I don't have it (thank God), but I once had a colleague who did. Ironically, she loved to cook, but she would always need an assistant to taste her cooking. Her dishes tend to be super spicy to compensate for the lack of most of her taste. I don't think she's into watches, but if she is, I wonder what kind of watches she likes.
Arent you the michael michael motor cycle😂😂😂😂
Really missing Michael and the chemistry between him and Christian.
Bahahaha! “She going to like me and I hate that.”
This Omega is my GRAIL watch…..
Gm all
I've always thought the alpinist looks like a frankenwatch, specifically because those silly hands, and the version with the cyclops thrown on too.
A Frankenstein watch is just a fake/replica/clone watch
That you take genuine parts of the brand the fake watch is replicating and modify the fake watch with authentic parts .
mmmm, a fine pork rillette on baguette!
Not sure whether you will see this comment but I think that these kinds of videos are not what the majority of us subscribed for. They are excellent videos, though I think that you are more than just a channel for ”watch news“ and new stuff. I personally find myself rewatching some older videos of you, as I think they have an element of personality and originality. As said before; there is nothing wrong with these videos and you seem to get reasonable views with consistency, but they don’t really feature your core qualities of storytelling and personality.
White Gold is kinda meh! It’s “grey” and platinum is @ historic lows but all the watch companies are still charging us the inflated price for platinum.
Platinum is truly white, has so much more brilliance than white gold and platinum is awesome for the frequency/vibrations of high beat calibers like the mighty El Primero!
how do you guys have the nerve to charge $8k for a 1603 datejust? that's at most a $5k watch.
Does it have a Khanjar stamp / dial ?
Does it have any tropical patina ?
Their maybe more to it than the eye sees 😂
TSGWMID 🍭
floating upside down in a backyard pool
The secondary grey watch market has been up and running for decades and decades .
It’s not going anywhere .
The prices of the watches may change .
The percentage of profit doesn’t .
It’s like the stock market .
It’s crashed a couple times
It goes up and down
But it’s not going anywhere 🤦🏻♂️
BBRROOOO im congenial anosmic as well
My condolences 🥸
Kind of sad seeing you guys sponsor a scam like masterworks. There is plenty of videos on how they are a scam. Consider vetting your sponsorships better, you're essentially scamming your viewers and fans.
Maybe don't just go off a CZcamsr's endorsement without doing your own research first.
@@BourbonInhibitions maybe don’t take sponsorships from scammers and have a higher moral standard to what you feed your audience. Are you seriously saying influencers should take corrupt ads and sponsors? Could you imagine how watching TV would be if no one vetted advertisements and sponsorships?
The Ad did make it clear that Theo and Harris (only joking there!), aren't currently Masterworks investors. But still everyone will be held accountable for their connections. So Michael and Christian, do your research.
I miss this intro
Is the disability check a joke..? my sarcasm Meter is not very good
All of that blabbering and you show each watch for 2 seconds... Change the format bro
I miss michael
This guy gets disability payments?
Yes , a disabled person gets disability checks.
Be careful what you say or else he’ll be paid by you also for discrimination against a disabled person 😂
Yes, watches DO speak volumes about you. But not nearly as much as the stuff you say in CZcams videos.
The guy on the right just loves himself and has way too much self importance for my liking !!
I thought that at first as well. Kind of a pompous ass! But the more I watch him and the more I see him try to work through and articulate his thoughts he comes off way different or maybe I just feel I understand his personality different, either way I do not feel that same way anymore he has grown on me personally. But I do also feel that if you are a man of value that you should show it because your not the same as everyone else, if you were then you probably would not be where you are today
Pretty typical for Long Island / Jersey. Sells watches, makes a few hundred grand, lives outside his means and is self important.
Shut up you don't know a damn thing about him.
@@cdm765 Nah he's just too much for me.... unwatchable.
Please don’t be so nervous and speak English instead of American
How do you speak American 😂
@@floridaboybrandon954 , I guess if you are not nervous you automatically switch to the King's English.
@heiner71 Oneis still getting used to speaking the ,'Kings's' after my life up to now speaking the 'Queen's'.
Junk
Boring shillers.
Collects monthly disability payments for lack of scent, complains taxes are too high...
Taxes are too high, and they aren't too high because people with disabilities are compensated for having them. Do you realize the job market not available to Christian and the everyday safety risks he has because he can't smell? Pull your head out of your ass.
I like big maxi cases and I cannot lie, all you other Rolex fan bois can't deny. Word to the beloved T&H sponsor🥱
Nope I don't like the super case at all. Or the bigger indices and crown guards. Every super case size Rolex person I encountered was a straight poser but the one's I encountered with 5513s and 14060 were true watch enthusiast and knew watches well. When I think of pre ceramic Rolexs I think Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Jeff Bridges, Robert Redford and Jaques Cousteau,Sean Connery and Roger Moore and when I think of the super case Subs well I think of nobody 😅
@@lonewolfemcquade8133
Point nicely made. I was being tongue in cheek obviously, but I do like the robustness of modern Rolex.
