🔴HOMEWORK
there can be following reasons why moon is not colliding with the earth-
1) the moon is moving around earth with high speed
2) it is moving in a angular direction with high speed but due to gravity of earth it changes its path into curve
3) the orbit of moon allows it to rotate in a fixed path
4) centripetal force

The moon does not fall towards Earth due to its high velocity. The high velocity of the moon keeps it always escaping the Earth’s surface due to which moon keeps orbiting and never falls towards Earth.
