9:16: “Miss Jean Louise, stand up. Your father’s passin’.”
The courtroom gallery stood up for him in the movie; the audience at the Kennedy Center Honors stood up for him that night; and I stood up for him in my heart just now, even as I am crying. I equate Gregory Peck with DIGNITY - the same dignity that Sidney Poitier would show while receiving his Oscar in 1964 (a year after Peck), and while being honored at the Kennedy Center in 1995 (three years after Peck)…

An exquisite man. He oozes, class, dignity, nobility with a quiet masculinity that not many men of today nor yesteryear could ever possess. I first saw him (in the 70's..I was 15) in the movie, Captain Horatio Hornblower and I was smitten. When I was 38, i went overseas to visit dear friends in CA. They took me Hollywood where I spotted Gregory's site. There I knelt down where his hands, footprints and signature is forever etched in concrete...and my picture taken. That was closest I would ever get to him. I was truly devastated when passed away 💔 We are lucky to have lived in the time of the magnificent Gregory Peck.

Thanks for the upload - I had been trying forever to find Isaac Stern doing Danny Boy because I thought he performed it for Gene Kelly not Peck. Isaac's intentions were first class and he even managed a respectable Irish 'brogue' (note Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt...) but committed serious defamation locating County Kerry in 'Northern Ireland'. As well it's never referred to as the 'Londonderry Air' in Irish circles - it's Danny Boy or rarely the Derry Air. Most minor quibbles!

Mr Flanagan! You made me cry with your Christmas gift to Audrey Hepburn fans all over the world! Thank you so much for sharing Audrey's tribute to Gregory Peck at the Kennedy Honors! This comes as an utter surprise to me, at least, because I was not aware that Audrey was in Kennedy Honors, only in the AFI. God bless you for your generosity, Mr Flanagan! Merry Christmas!

Audrey did yet another tribute to Greg at the Lincoln Center 5 months later. And CBS broadcasted that Gala as well.
She ended up doing 4 tributes to Greg in 4 years! And he did one for her as well (Lincoln Center, 1991)
