CBS2's Natalie Duddridge tours a stunning home using natural stone and wood designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright in the latest edition of Living Large.
Frank Lloyd Write was a genius. I mean, the real meaning of genius. Not like people push around nowadays. RIP Mr. Wright. Thank you for sharing your gift freely with the world.
On a positive note, a well-conceived expression of Wright’s work. He had a playful nature that would allow for the occasional boulder to sprout up out of the floor. Very consistent with his design aesthetic. Would be nice to see many of the details. Nicely produced video as well. Thank you
builder didn't get Wright's stone work walls, fireplaces and other castings.... instead this house's stones are just a 'few oddities' in a concrete wall! Wright would have thrown a fit!
Look into it, its' not a "Frank Lloyd Wright" house, the guy who built it got the plans somewhere and built it himself, fucked up the stone work on the exterior, doesn't look anything like FLW other houses, it may be his design but definitely not his soul.
I'm wondering if it would be possible to alter the stone work of the house with the help of the Frank Lloyd Wright foundation? From what I understand from the media, the cost seemed prohibitive when constructed to follow their guidelines. In certain respects the builder mentions he made insulation improvements in the stone work.
Ha. FLR may have designed the cottage in the 40's. The rest is just attribution and not worthy of the master. Sell, sell. sell - totally opposite to Mr Wright's thinking.

Mr. Wright would be horrified to see what they've done to his plans. He'd light a fire in the living
room, tap his cane, swirl his cape and storm out.

Kevin Morin totally agree
This is a tough sale. Looks more like a tourist center/museum/gift shop.
thank you for researching this!
absolutely fantastic program!
Gorgeous is all I can say!

Another favorite... 🏡
Frank Lloyd Wright!!🔥🔥
Not a Wright house for so many reasons.
Good luck trying to unload this turkey.
Regards,
Kev
It's a great house. Consider it a homage to Frank Lloyd Wright, not an insult to him...
Love it
The guy did get the best lots to build on.
not always.
How is this the 1st time I ever heard of this"?"

What a friggin’ disaster. Even a cursory look at the stone work tells any Wright student that this is not FLW. Not even close.
boy that interviewer sure did her job on that one..lol
What?!!
12.9 million dollars won't get you a backyard toilet in Sydney.
The hell it wouldn't...
💪First💪
Nothing looks “RIGHT”.
Imitation is still flattery, or however that saying goes.

It's FLW.
