I have a 10 year old in school, and just came to know about “visitor record”. So based on your explanations, I dont need to apply for a visitor record for her!right?
Am confused here. I learnt minor kids do not need a study permit to go to school in Canada. From your video you said it’s mandatory. I did the checklist and answered that my minor kids will apply for study permit and now they are asking for acceptance letter and it’s part of the required documents. I cannot proceed when that part is left empty. What do I do?
Maybe is because the age? I have the same problem, but I'm trying to extend his study permit he is 17 he will be 18 in February and his study permit will expire on January, it is supossed that he will finished his high school on May. Let me know if it was the problem, I really appreciate it :)

Meanwhile, we got my nephew's 9th grade admission as international fee paying student for 1st semester where study permit was not mandatory. She got LMIA based work permit inside Canada by flagpole from border. My question is - does my nephew need to apply for study permit? If not, what status he would be in Canada, just visitor? We have applied for Study Permit for our minor children in Nov. 2022. We left them in India as their study permit had not been given. Our original work permit was until July 2023 and we have applied for extension. Will the kids not receive their study permit until our extension is approved. Hey Neha, I came to Canada on a study visa and now after completing my studies I just received my PGWP till 2026. All this time my minor kids (10 and 11 yrs) were in boarding school back in India. No need of acceptance letter from the school, as she said in the video. Just apply for study permit without that.

I am an MBA student in University of Manitoba currently based out of Winnipeg.I want to bring my 6 year old child to Canada. I applied for my wife’s SOWP and my child’s visitor visa application. My wife’s application was successful however my child’s application got refused. They are asking me to file for a study permit. I went through official website & it made me even more confused. Hi, may i ask a very pertient question and hope you can provide some feedback. I am applying as an international student from outside canada + with Spouse Open work permit + i have 3 kids aged above 5 below 17 means dependents and i shall apply for each one study permit. NOW THE IRCC PORTAL SUBMISSION IS NOT POSSIBLE DUE TO KIDS "LOA" how can i get for each LOA from Schools if am not in canada and but the same time i want to process my family application altogether.
