Dear Claire, I just found your channel tonight. This is the 2d video that I have watched of yours. I am a subscriber now. I don't even know if you will see this comment since this video is really old. (Please never take it down). But, I hope that you do see this comment. 😊
You are amazing. I am a chocolate skinned woman, and you are so right. It is hard to make dark colored skin look realistic unless you are a professional. Anywho, you nailed it. I will be trying that one first. Then I will try all the other skin tones. I have friends in all 4 skin tone colors. 😊
May God bless you and your family continuely. Amen

I need a book of faces to practice on so I don’t waste beautiful pages on. There’s days I wonder if I’ll ever be able to pull this off but it’s not from lack of loving this hobby.

Dear Claire - you helped reduce my anxiety about coloring skin, which I’ve avoided until now. I’m practicing in my sketchbook, but hopefully will conquer my reluctance and actually use one of my books soon.

wow finally.. have watched a lot of videos but no one explained it step by step they just do it and we watch. No concerns about boring me with repetition.. that's how most people learn. I will take this and even work with some of my own color combos. Thanks so much for taking all the time to show us this over and over was extremely helpful. really appreciate all the time and effort you put into this great job!

This is just what I am looking for, some expert tuition with skin tones, I'm hopeless with faces, I keep trying and trying, but somehow I end up with a line where one colour meets another, guess I'm pushing too hard. (And I'm just the same with acrylic paint too lol). Just can't seem to get the hang of it. Tfs xo

I’ve had the same problem in general. I think the problem in general is when I don’t make it dark at first and then taper off with that color. Then when I add the next color it it needs to be started on the previous color. It then starts to blend better.
