Am 39 yrs I completed my form four n passed wel got a B-l n wished to join nursing but due to school fees arrears couldn't get my leaving certificate to join college . Unfortunately I got a son who messed up everything n the dream of joining seemed impossible. I became a single parent and I thank God iloved my child despite the circumstances I got him,i dedicated my life to ensure he gets the basic needs and the education I couldn't since I studied with alot of difficulties having lost my father in class four. But God's grace my son is now completing highschool having strugled all alone and I now feel it's time I persue my dream of joining my nursing career. I have shared this with my son if he can be patient I study first then I can be able to take. Him to college later when am done and. He has really encouraged me to g for it.
I really wish I can get a sponsor to support me through nursing school so I achieve my dream. I believe it's not to late to study and become a great person in society. .
Don't wish Do It. Don't Dream Act. Do not hold your son back, let him achieve his own dreams

@@divadiva684 the challenge is finances if I get around 400k am joining next intake.. am not holding my son back he is completing high school and he is free to follow his dreams
Kindly don't ever say your son messed your education. They are always a blessing.
I believe let your son go to college nd he can later help you pursue your nursing
Both of you can achieve what you desire, but kindly don't hold your son's education for your sake. It's difficult but with faith it's possible. Get started and do what you can best one day at a time.

I'm so encouraged by Dr Penney, and this conversation JD! I have been afraid of doing a Doctorate because of my age! Inspired to go apply for one just for self actualization and probably make a difference in on other persons life. I thank God for you JD and Dr Penny.
Thanks Jeremy for having such an inspirational lady Dr Penny on your platform. I have read her book and it is a very useful tool to have. Her life is encouraging to me seeing what she has achieved at 75 and only within a few number of years. So if we focus it put God in our lives first,looks like we can chieve our goals. America with kids is too stressful.We need to open our doors to fellow Kenyans to help us even if it is visiting.Our kids want to relate more with people from where their parents come from.Unfortunately, we have become very westernized and closed our doors.Fear of one another is hindering our socialization.

I just started watching this story and cannot wait to finish. Women should feel empowered to leave, it takes more strength to leave an abusive marriage than to stay. Kids are paying a high price when there's tension between their parents. Its better to be from a broken home than live in one.
