- In the final episode of the first chapter, "We're All Going To Die" creator, disrupter, and Pod-Father Joe Budden sits down with Angie to discuss death in a whole new way; from signs that lead to your cause of death to studying our brains posthumously.
Joe and Angie have had several personal conversations about life and death, but this on-air discussion will make you consider your personal relationships after death, your own legacy, and what you must do while you are here. Shrooms anyone?!
As Angie recaps the lessons learned in the first chapter of the podcast and reveals the theme of Chapter 2, Joe adds his perspective as both a listener and friend in real life.

I wish 50 was interviewed in this series considering his recovery from a near death experience, road to success and early mentorship for some young cats who unfortunately passed.
Hopefully he’ll be on season 2. I think he will be a great person for Angie to interview. Great suggestion 👍🏽👍🏽!!
He doesn’t fuck with Angie
@@TheNyion912 Angie fuck with ja rule
We need 50
Dammit the algorithm is really doing its job today. I wasn't aware of this series by Angie, but as you will see again and again. "I see Joe, I click" simple as that. I even shed a thug tear from "you will die being you" Amazing conversation. 🙌🏿🙌🏿
Same
i was havinf Pod withdrawls and CZcams gave the I am an Athete and now this
Word..I was here watching something about Kobe and seen something about Angie Martinez interview Derek jeter and I’m like wait, when the hell did Angie get a podcast.
Yea here that 😎
Yes, Algorithm, is okay with me when they suggest things like this. I wonder what other ways can we support Angie M. Outside of watching the show.
This is BY FAR Joe's best interview I've ever seen. This was fantastic. I knew Joe only gives good interviews when its with someone he truly likes, respects, and reveres but man, GREAT JOB, Angie! You pulled back the layers and made Joe take off his mask and really kick his feet up. I loved the topics.
Yes! To see Joe so comfortable and relaxed just talking to his friend is really awesome.
Angie, all your episodes have been profound but THIS one was THE ONE. Joe changed the trajectory of my entire life moving forward with his theory about us getting clues about our death. This was a great conversation and we need more like these. I want an Angie and Joe segment on a regular basis!
My God when he said "you're gonna die being you" that said sooo much!
Bro go outside and touch grass 😂
Same here, every season…
He was a great guest. We need more of it
Yessss
Crazy how no one was having open conversations like this 20+ years ago. We really have came so far.
This is the Joe Budden I love to see, when Joe is comfortable wit the interviewer he tells the best stories and give the best advice. This was a Great interview, I learned a lot about Life in General!
Great episode. The greatest Joe is the one talking to his real friends. You know when he doesn't respect the person asking him questions.
Congrats to both of you
agreed
I just love that Joe, was in a safe space to articulate the corky thoughts that most people aren't honest to admit they have especially about death. I totally understand why he is so fascinated with documentaries now.
quirky
"Most people aren't honest to admit", then that's their problem .PEOPLE NOT BEING REAL IS NO ONES
PROBLEM OTHER THAN THEMSELVES
Applause to both Angie and Joe for this one. The natural chemistry between these two is amazing. They should have a podcast themselves as a team. Their outlooks on things and how they compliment one another is great.
When Joe is talking hip hop beefs and rap politics he will talk you in circles, but when he's talking life he's a different kind of guy and Angie is excellent at what she does
Joe needs to write a book. His thoughts on life and death are fascinating.
Hi 😎there timy.9197. really I don't know about death 😱😳👼
This is the best interview of Joe Budden ever 💯 It's dope him and Angie are actually friends because he Actually answered her questions unlike when everyone else interviews Joe!!! 🤣🤣🤣
The difference is Angie and Joe are really friends and have been for years.
@@atlemartoresonfjeldstad4557 Literally what the OP said...
And you can feel his respect and awe of her.
Joe’s take on Kobe sent chills down my spine !!!!

@@yungcino I ended up finding it, haha! Thanks though. By the way, what he said was wrong. Kobe did not die holding his daughter, and people really need to stop spreading that fairy-tale version of events. The crash was fast and unexpected.
Same. Wow.
@@gaila.9852nobody was alive to confirm or deny so how can you say that? From everything known about him that’s what he would have been doing and it wasn’t that fast.
This episode had me crying within the first 7 minutes. You both are amazing. This is THAT intervjew ! Excellent
Yeah this is a great duo 🔥🔥🔥 we need him back on another season. Shoot he can close out every season with Angie in summary
Meanwhile Joe is on vacation & we're still getting excellent content 👌🏾
Pod king 🤣🤣🤣
Word!
Yep! i’m going to tap into the Joe I Am Athlete episode next 👍🏾
Who else if not big pump?!! 😂
It was all planned out
I love when Joe speak his mind because he has a unique viewpoint
Please bring Joe back for the next chapter and every chapter. I love his brain
Angie should have Joe on at the end of every chapter. The chemistry! the conversation! It was truly beautiful how they were able to have such a in-depth and pull so many emotions. Loved it! Great podcast unbelievable episode. Can’t wait for what’s next.
I was thinking the same, this conversation & the way Joe went through his philosophy of the way he views death brought her series full circle. Really enjoyed it. He was perfect for this last episode.
This episode changed my outlook on life. When Joe says “you’re going to die being you.” Wow… it does make you work harder at being the best you you can be each day. this was powerful to say the least.
I loved all the episodes but this last one has to be the best! & Joe definitely should come back for another conversation. He’s very interesting. Great speaker. The way he dissects things is very interesting. The whole way he took the way Nipsey and Kobe passing and the significance of their purpose and how it tied to how they passed is just so good.. so true.. I never thought of death in that way. I love how he respects people and values people especially whether he likes them or not or believes in their ideologies or not. Super dope person. Please have him come back!
Another freaking amazing episode & Genius to have Joe close the season. I’ve always admired how deep his mind goes but it was dope to hear his vulnerability in this one. Angie just makes everyone feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable 💯
Lol if you think Joe mind is deep don’t procreate
@@Kingkongbigdog well, that was a very mature response. If you watched this interview and got nothing from it, that says more about YOU than Joe. Angie literally opens the episode stating her purpose for this series and the guests she carefully selects. Leave your personal opinions about Joe outside for bit and you just might learn something.
@@MrSurfer432 amen to this
his mind is an intricate 1
We are a 100% in sync.
This was so deep. Thank you Angie for getting Joe to open up! Hearing him talk about his fears and faults let’s me know why he is this way.
I’m only about 10 mins in but Joe really fucked me up about the clues of one’s death. Now, I thought I got over my fear of death itself and maybe I have but the thought about clues popping up of one’s death is terrifying because I honestly believe that’s true. If I look back on all the people who have passed around me, the clues ARE there. This forces me to literally see my own clues and WOW. 🤯🤯
When Joe isn’t being bombarded with industry question he actually opens the hell up.
I love this Joe Budden! He thinks so intricately. I would luv him to regularly do pods on all this deep ish he thinks about .
This interview has made me look at Joe in a whole different way! What an incredible 1st season! Congratulations Angie and I can’t wait for the next season ❤
And this is why Joe will always remain on top. His vulnerability and how he perceives life is soo powerful.
Wow! This podcast is that special gift you never knew you needed but now can’t understand how you lived without it! Great job Angie and team!!! Best of luck on next season!
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Angie telling Joe he might have to carry her through her own pod at the beginning & Joe proceeding to then carry her trough the pod just cements how great a podded she’s is!
I've always loved Angie. A lot of media people wanna interview certain celebs for the clicks and likes and don't really care about them as a person, but i've always sensed from Angie that she truly cares about people and could care less for all the glitz and glamor, she's one of if not the most genuine interviewer i've seen.
I agree with u 💯! The interviews she had with Lauryn & MJB were over the top phenomenal conversations. I didn’t know Angie & Mary were actual friends until I watched their conversation & as u stated, Angie really shows her feelings & her personality with her guests in ways that seem authentic & genuine…which is truly a gift.
This was so refreshing to watch. We see him in a different light and more deeper as he gets older. Love you for this Angie ❤️
As a long time fan and follower of Joe.... Going back to maybe 2007 or 2008. His personal growth is something that has been truly amazing to see. Watching this it's hard to believe that's the same human. It's inspiring man.
Had no idea about this, saw Joe n clicked. Gotta love Joe how open he his. Patroniesssss
Finally a real interview! 🤣🤣🤣 How can you not love Joe though
Wow this interview made me love Joe. He's so articulate and deep. Great job Angie. I look forward to the rest of the series.
Totally different side of what I’m use to seeing from him
These episodes are SO, SO, GOOD, Angie! Thank you for your genius and kindness. I’m going to speak with my parents and create legacy videos for my siblings and all of our children 💜
"Your gonna die being you" ... just wow... this was awesome, just littered with jewels
Right! As soon as he said it I was like damn, so spot on, yet so freaking obvious. Full circle.
Man i can listen to the two of you talk for hours. This is a show right here. The joe and angie podcast. Id watch every episode.
Wow wow wow… The Kobe piece of this interview..,.. POWERFUL !!!! The way that was worded by Joe hit my SOUL!!!
This was an amazing conversation. That Kobe portion almost got me, whew honey. Angie is so good at what she does
This podcast has touched me in so many ways. Love conversations like these such simply being and discovering. Please bring Joe back ! Can’t wait for the next chapter ✨
More Angie x Budden content please!!! 🙌🏽
This is my favorite episode by far. Joe took my mind where it never been. I had chill with kobe developping that memba mentality not for basketball but holding his daughter in their final moment. May they rest in peace.
I love Joe man! Every single honest feeling he comes up with man. Being vulnerable is healthy🫡
I'm 44 and truly enjoy these grown up convos
As far I can remember Angie has always championed Joe. I love how these 2 connect
Such an amazing interview. I was glued to every word. I wish it was longer. We need more of this content asap
I have to say…Joe has a wonderful voice
This is the best Joe Budden interview/pod I’ve seen. We need to see this Joe a lot more 👌🏾
What Joe said about Kobe’s life and death was spot on
Joe Budden. He the realist & hard core.He has no filter he just says what he feels. So luv how he speaks his mind or his truth. I think that so important. Be the best version of yourself.
I gotta go back and watch all of these. Angie really dose do her thing and she's so genuine
Angie you are the 🐐.
Each episode has been so profound. Lauren and Joe’s being the ones I took the most away from. Definitely have me thinking of what my super powers are Keep up the amazing work. 👏🏾👏🏾
The world needed this video!! Bravo to Joe and Angie 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Angie is different and I love it. God Bless them with their future endeavors.
This was an AMAZING episode… You are definitely the best at having genuine dialogue! 🙏🏾
What an AMAZING interview!!! We need more of this HIGH LVL talk in the forefront! 💪🏾🙏🏾
Great to see Angie Martinez thrive in this space, having one on one conversations in the intimate setting. Legendary radio personality, always admired her interviewing skills.
My grandfather (Daddy Pal) passed away this past March 2022. He was 95 years old. He told the best stories and when he would get on one, I would record it. These stories of trials, triumphs, wins and losses. Discrimination, relationships…. The whole nine. It’s incredible to listen to. I encourage everyone to tap in when it happens.
This may be the best interview I’ve ever watched. Amazing job
Angie, I've listened to you and your interviews for years, and it's clear you have a way with speaking to and relating to others. BUT, this show is a true reflection of your "superpower". I hope this show is here for the long haul. Amazing work!!
Damn Angie, you really doin it! I love this!! Ending season 1 with a bang, this episode with Joe was my favorite!!
It’s interesting how as humans we need constant affirmation when talking about such deep real things, for fear of scaring or depressing the other. I’m sure we all have the same thoughts, but I love how you’re breaking barriers for the uncomfortable conversations 💙💙💙
Great closing of the season Angie! I cried , I laughed, I had ah ha moments . Keep them coming. I’m looking forward too next season my dear 💋💋
Actually watched this 3 times! I wish it was longer. Great interview with a great interviewee!!! 💯💪🏾
Luv him or h8 him u GOT to respect the goat. Joe gives a great interview whn asked the right shit!!! Luv Ang & Joe's friendship great convo.. Joe will get u to think about some shit
Hi Angie Martinez!, I'm Morris; I live in Jamaica. I've enjoyed your podcast thoroughly so far. I think the theme of the first chapter " we're all going to die" was most fitting because it's something that is inevitable to all humans but only a small fraction of people are either willing are comfortable talking about it. I enjoyed all the episodes that I watched but Lauren London episode resonates with more. I think she's highly intellectual but also very spiritual conscious, mature and very evolved. She's very wise, much beyond her years. This is my humble opinion: I think for the second chapter. The topic" our super powers" I think you could invite Lauren London once more and also Chadwick Boseman's wife and Jay z. Those are my humble suggestions. I'm sincerely hoping you'll get to read my message. I know you have a lot of messages to read.
Fire ass episode. Much appreciation 🙏🏾
I'm soooo glad I still get to hear Joe's voice since his ass is on vacation in Greece. This pod cake through at the perfect time as I am allllll the way caught up on the JBP 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Agreed! and i’m going to watch the Joe I Am Athlete episode right after this. 👍🏾
This man is the hardest working man I know and he puts out content crazy! I love the JBP and caught up as well so glad to see this on CZcams
FYI- Mack daddy part 2 just dropped on Patreon
Wow! Great POSITIVE content. Gonna be amazing to witness the growth of this podcast. Well done 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 You deserve it all Angie.
Allllll 💜 of your IRL episodes are amazing!!! Thank you for sharing...
I loved this interview & enjoyed all the interviews recently around death. I loved the different perspectives. Loved Joe’s insight on love!!! Loved it all!
This shit was amazing. Got me in my feelings a bit. Their chemistry is crazy.
Another fantastic interview ❤. Thank you Ange for all your hard work. I really enjoy your interviews
I enjoyed this so much that I was sharing it to people via text while I was still watching 🙂 I enjoyed listening to Joe.
nice to see joe getting his flowers here🌸 thank you angie for everything!! you both are needed in this space
Need more friends like these 2. I would love to have conversations on this level everyday
This was wonderful to watch and so thought provoking. Great convo!!!
What Angie said at the end, about her superpower, is so relatable. 🙌🏽 As a kid someone said "imagine what it's like to be in their situation", and I took it literally. Lol. Truly putting yourself in someone else's position can be painful and doesn't always serve you, I can empathize with Angie on that.
I can sit and listen to Angie talk all day. She can be talking about a pillow and bed sheets and I would just be enamored XOXOXO
This is the second podcast that I've watched in 2 days with Joe Budden, I have gained so much respect for his mind and his blunt honesty.
Angie you are amazing!! You have such a great vibe and all these episodes have been so profound. I look forward to next season. Favorite podcast for sure.
This is perfect, the best podcast I’ve ever seen. The host and guest compliment each other, the sound, lighting, and subject.. Perfect Perfect Perfect!!
Angie, thank you so much for these podcast interviews! well thought out, great questions and amazing guests!
Just a grown interview!! This is growing up in hiphop ! Love it
Yes, I totally believe that when people pass away they stay with you. I definitely have had moments of clarity for me after my Gram passed when I literally can say or even think 'tell me what to do' or 'I need your help' with a situation that I once thought was impossible to resolve or so difficult to wrap my head around, and I can be still, and sit with it thinking of her... all of sudden it will come to me- overnight. The best compliment I've ever gotten is "you remind me of your Gram". She's still here in me, for sure.❤❤❤❤
This was excellent great job Angie thank you for this. Joe I enjoy seeing you in this light . 🙏🏽💛
This was a REALLY good episode. I genuinely enjoyed the flow of the conversation.
Once again, Angie killed it. Joe & Angie were lit. Thanks for sharing. Loving all these conversations.
This was so dope! Great show! Didnt even know this existed but now I'm subbed and I'll check out the rest.
Love your content Ang! I didn't realize how impactful this would be.... that comment about Kobe and Gigi, my goodness. Lord what are you being prepared for??? So much depth
Angie! Such an awesome "season". Love this so much. Joe was very insightful. Never thought about death in that manner.
I really enjoyed this episode. Thank you 💚
This was so DOPE! Thanks for this yall!
"God tell me what you saw"...Wow that part!...Has never crossed my mind to ask that specifically while I pray and communicate with God 🤔
Thank you so much for this interview. All of the content spoke to my heart and was so helpful to me. Thank you for showing me that I'm not the only one who thinks like this. I have always thought this way and have always thought I was the only one who has these ideas and questions. Love you thank you again for everything xoxo.
I am now hooked…. Can’t wait until the next series starts. And I am heading over to JBudden podcast to subscribe!
This was great! I love Joe. He's just real. To wrap chapter 1, my faves were deff Lauren, Mary, and I’m happy to add Joe to the list. Great conversation Angie! I’m looking forward to chapter 2. You’re giving me questions to reflect and journal about myself.
Lauren’s interview, hands down, superb. Amazing and eye opening. Thank you for that. 🙌🏼
Awesome show! Loved the whole season Angie. Lauren London & Joe Budden are my favorite episodes. Looking forward to next season!
