Socials of some players can not be found (players with default nicknames, some Asian players, etc). Zando is so incredible, having a defense that strong, easily getting slayer of all characters pushed into the corner and consistently wallbreaking him.
Using all the niche techs that people thought of
You would probably enjoy seeing Gobou's matches vs. Slayer players from his stream; because he consistently denies Slayer users the space to get in using Mappa by using a barrage of spells - and once Gobou obtains a wallbreak hard-knockdown with Asuka, you just watch Slayer's blocking animation, as he desperately holds up a set of fingers, thinking he will get his turn back - which never happens...
Pushing Slayer into corner is like beating a kindergartenet what drugs are you on

I dont think theres a single character who even approaches the level of cool Asuka is once you understand how he plays. Between Gobou and Zando playing completely different styles of Asuka, its really interesting to watch the dynamic.
johnny is way cooler… just thinking about him makes me excited…
I think you might like Rachel from BBCF as well. If Asuka is destructive and powerful, then Rachel is efficient and elegant. She is an unique "mage" character and her wind resource is her character-defining trait. Wind can control movement of projectile and herself to 8 directions, allow potentials of screen control, combo extension, mobility, instand overhead, etc.
@@teaandpeace14 I think Rachel is cool, Izanami is my go-to in CF though. Float combos/pressure are the only reason I go back to that game.

@@Thatonerandommmboi Izanami's combos will break your hands, but it's really cool. Floating and manually timed projectile makes many impossible combos to be true. If that's not enough, floating allow you to do unseeable high/low mixups as well.
My personal favourite in CF is Valkenhayn. His rich mobility options force opponents to guess your approach, frequent exchange between human and wolf stance in both combos and neutral really let you feel like a werewolf and a well-trained assassin.

We’ve got mappa hunch down I think but dandy steps definitely a problem.Its not invincible but requires insanely precise timing in order to counter it especially dandy step P.I as an asuka player I use 2D for dandy step K and use a throw as soon as he’s close enough for dandy step P,but is that really efficient?I hope you all can lab on your own,make your own findings,and share them to help in the fight against the dandyman.
You're overthinking it. Every Dandy step follow up just loses to 2p. The only one that doesn't is the jump follow up. Which also isn't too hard to deal with. If you're mashing 2p to try and beat his other followups and you see your 2p whiff because he did the jump follow up, mash grab. It should just throw him 90% of the time. (Sometimes its spaced weirdly)
Only Dandy Step followup he can do as a real frametrap is pilebunker off of higher attack level moves. But its EXTREMELY minus so most wont do it without meter.
I wouldn't gamble with 2d against dandy step. Just use your 2p.
Mashing your fastest button beats everything except Pile Bunker. Jumping out beats everything except It's Late. Everything is minus on block except Master's Hammer. These are universal.
In general, if you block a button and Slayer cancels into Dandy Step, you can mash out of anything other than Pilebunker. The overhead and low are easy enough to stuff with a K or P button, but Master's Hammer will jump over some of your reversal buttons. The easiest way to stop it is a well-timed 5P. I wouldn't say that the others require very precise timing at all.
I would recommend trying to familiarize yourself with blocking the various followups rather than trying to mash out of them. Using FD can help ensure that P Dandy Step does not cross up.

I personally think Asuka has better drip but it is close between the two.

All of this mans K buttons are just thwacking people with his robe. His drip is lethal!
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I will go with Faust on this one. With Asuka's outerwear being ceremonial Japanese clothing, the track shoes look weird and out of place in my opinion - it would have made more sense if he wore geta or seta sandals to complete the look - but Daisuke probably figured that would not mix well with the eccentric designs Guilty Gear is known for, and perhaps because Asuka is American... I don't know...
Also, Faust actually uses his track shoes for their intended purpose in the game, which is for running; Asuka couldn't even run in the story mode in a dire situation, which means the shoe's sole purpose go to waste - so that's why Faust gets my vote.
Edit: I just realized that I may have to change my vote; if we include Asuka's Pop-Up Shop streetwear outfit into the equation - where he wore a men's v-neck t-shirt, a fur coat/puffer jacket, skinny jeans (the same as under his ceremonial Japanese clothing), and women's wedge heel ankle boots (and yes, ASW confirmed he was wearing women's shoes during a Japanese stream) - then I believe Asuka wins this debate fairly convincingly...
Now THIS Asuka is fun to watch, actually going for interactions rather than abusing the opponent does not know how to deal with proyectiles, even tho Slayer played well too
If you wanna see some cool close quarters asuka check out コメコメ’s asuka. He uses 2nd deck and goes for sick mixups, but most of all plays a crazy defensive game.
Rule one of fighting games is you abuse the cheap things until they stop working. If your opponent can't deal with the projectiles, spam them. A character is going to be uninteractive if people aren't using proper counterplay.
@@Phosphophyllite21 yeah but im talking about fun not optimal plays so shut up, and even then relying on only one strategy like spamming proyectiles its not that good since it means giving the opponent more time to adapt and counter patterns it while stalling your dps

@@ivanayala2715You may not like what I am about to say, and I might even become your enemy for this, but it truly sounds like you either need to lab some serious Asuka counterplay, or make friends with Asuka players that _can_ teach you the match-up. This character has been out for over a year now - there has been plenty of time to learn the match-up...

That's why Slayer isn't played on tournaments, you run into Testament Giovanna Elphelt HC Anji Nagorayuki Faust Ky in the tournament, and you're done, even you're god himself.
