  • What’s not to love with Dischidia?! The plant at the 10:20 mark is Dischidia lanceolata. It has two names and I always forget them both LOL.

    Love the million hearts. I bought a variegated and normal, cut off the roots and put them in MAB Grow (AUS version of pon) together. They are doing so well. After a month already rooting. Love your different methods and the small leaf plants

    Hey Paul, absolutely love your collection. Dischidia is one of the first group of plants that I collected. I have found them so rewarding and easy to grow here in Queensland Australia. Love love love mine 💕💕💕 I have the Dischidia Bengalensis which looks like the ones on your video at 10.50 ….. Just in case anyone who is collecting wants to know 😂 The only one missing for me is the Single stipe ! I’m off to hunt it down ha ha …. Thanks for another awesome video xx 😘

    Hi Paul. I just read the comment from margimorris7360 about the Discidia million hearts. I wish I knew their secret. I have my plant growing in the same MAB Grow and it’s been there since last July under a grow light and doing nothing. Although it did get about 3 little flowers a few weeks ago. GORGEOUS!

      I guess they’re unpredictable. So odd. I’m going to document the environment it’s in to see if I can figure it out. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@paultheplantparent2702I've tried yarn, I've tried mounting them to cork wood with sphagnum under the plant, I've now moved onto hydro only...they just I don't even know how to describe it...I can't tell what they are doing lol They are growing like this white jelly looking root, but that's all that grows! no more new leaves, a bit of height that's it. They are pretty young, maybe that's why?

    Hi Paul, thank you for another interesting video. I have two questions:
    1st: do you know any "fuzzy" Dischidia (Dischidia with pubescence)? I love "fuzzy" plants and am looking for all kinds of new ones to add to my (ever growing) wishlist and collection.
    2nd: can Dischidia be kept in unheated rooms, where, during winter, temperatures drop to minimum 5°C or about 40°F?

    • @paultheplantparent2702
      @paultheplantparent2702  Před 5 měsíci

      Hello there. Thank you so much!!!! I haven’t come across any fuzzy Dischidia yet. That would be really cool!!! 40 F may be a little low. They might get some cold damage with temps that low. I wouldn’t go below 50-55 F to be safe. Tysm for watching. I really appreciate it. 😃👍🏼🌱
