"Investing should be more like watching paint dry or watching grass grow. If you want excitement, take $800 and go to Las Vegas."
This quote perfectly sums up the idea behind investing in index funds: it's a strategy that prioritizes steady growth over high-stakes risks.

Becoming a millionaire through a Roth IRA or a 401(k) involves different strategies for maximizing profits. A Roth IRA offers tax-free withdrawals in retirement, which can be advantageous if you expect to be in a higher tax bracket later in life. On the other hand, a 401(k) provides tax-deferred growth and potential employer contributions, boosting your savings. The optimal choice depends on factors like your current and future tax situation, employer match, and investment options. Consulting a financial advisor can help tailor a strategy that aligns with your financial goals and circumstances.

Prioritizing effective personal finance management holds greater significance than the sheer amount saved, irrespective of income source. Consulting a certified financial advisor can offer tailored strategies to optimize financial results by reducing expenses and enhancing income, regardless of whether it's earned through employment or investments.

I used to think like you. I thought I knew enough about finance and investing to handle everything myself but then I realize that I was spending too much money and energy on researching, analyzing, and monitoring my finances. I was also overwhelmed by the amount of information and options available. I decided to hire a finance advisor and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. They saved me a lot of time and money, and give me peace of mind.

I had a situation similar to yours. I had a Roth 401K that had long met the 5 year rule. In Dec. 2019 I was preparing to retire in Jan. 2020 (over 59 1/2) and chose to transfer this Roth 401K to a Roth IRA with a well known brokerage firm. I was told by my brokerage firm that the 5 year rule would begin anew (I did not have an existing Roth IRA) so eff. 1/1/2024 I will have satisfied this 5 year rule. Additionally, I transferred a traditional 401K to same brokerage firm and have been making annual conversions to a Roth IRA but in a different account as I was advised not to comingle the two distinctly different contribution types. Good luck, another thing, my employer's plan administrator said I was the first employee to ever request a transfer of only the Roth 401K but I wanted to get it moved in 2019 prior to retiring to get the 5 year clock started. The plan administrator's company actually had to program their system to make the transaction possible which fortunately took just a few days.

People downplay planner’s role, until they are burnt by their mistakes. That’s why I’ve been working with expert planners like CHRIS RYAN STEWART

Having an investment adviser is the best way to go about the market right now especially for near retirees. I've been in touch with Chris Ryan Stewart for a while now mostly because I lack the depth knowledge and mental fortitude to deal with these recurring market conditions. I netted over 70k$ during this dip, that made it clear there's more to the market that we average joes don't know.

100%. I want to not only stay ahead of the game, but to thrive in the age of artificial intelligence. I am very excited about what the future has to offer. We truly live at a very cool time in history. My attitude is that if we ignore all the BS going on in the world and focus on the good stuff then our lives will improve by leaps and bounds.

People are going through real life crisis, think now isnt a time to focus on Airtificial intelligence. Our main concern should be wealth generation in times like these.

You are accurate, of course! Economic downturns present a wide range of opportunities for common people to build riches from scratch. However, if you want a more forceful return, you might need to seek advice from an investment planner.

Quite true! You don't necessarily need to be a flawless investor; all you need to do is seek advice from an expert. I began investing in 2016 and pulled a profit of roughly $370k the following year despite having no prior investment knowledge.

My spouse and I are diversifying our long-term investment portfolio by adding various stocks and ETFs. We've allocated $220k to begin with, focusing on inflation-indexed bonds and companies with strong cash flows. I think the current market presents a good opportunity for long-term gains, but I'm also interested in learning ways to make short-term profits.

    • @ThomasChai05

While the current market offers short-term profit potential, it's crucial to note that executing such a strategy requires expertise and skill.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 1.2million.

These long game strategies are really for our children because in 30yrs I’ll be 87yrs old if I even live that long but I’m willing to do that for my son who is 16 yrs old. I could diversify with other several types of investments to meet short term goals. I could also invest in real estate on fixer properties that could renovate snd flip with alot shorter time line to make high returns.

The market trend can turn around very quickly. In fact, the indexes often switch from a bear market to a bull market when the news is at its worst and the mood of investors is at its lowest point. I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $150k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist?

This is still a window-shopping market. But there are a lot of intriguing stocks to watch from a variety of sectors. You don’t have to act on every forecast, hence i will suggest you get yourself a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on.

    • @Johnsmoneyadventures
      @Johnsmoneyadventures  Před 6 měsíci +1

The dividend yield is inversely proportional to annual stock price appreciation.
For example, if a stock's price is $100 and it pays $5 in dividends, the yield is 5% (5/100).
If, after one year, the stock price increases to $150 and it pays $6 in dividends, the dividend has grown, but the yield is now 4% (6/150).
