99% of investors should stick with a low cost index fund. Put money in every month and let it compound for decades. There are probably less than 10 people who have the ability to outperform the market year after year and I can assure you they are not working for a mutual fund company or working as a financial advisor.

Great video on index funds. You can't go wrong with picking ETFs or Index Funds, especially for beginners. Investing into and index that tracks the S&P 500 returns about 10.7% year over year on average. Your local bank offers less than 1/2 of 1% to hold onto your money. It's a no-brainer to go with ETFs or Index funds!

You could try others like SPY which also follows the S&P500 but has a larger expense ratio. I personally like Vanguard due to their low expense ratios. The dividends depend on how much you have invested. So don't expect 100 dollars from only 1000 dollars invested into VOO. You can google a lot of this like their expense ratios, dividend yield, life time growth etc. then decide which is the best option for you

Popular funds have min buy in cost. Can you expand on fees and how one should look for them when buying an index fund? Also, how to pull money out of a fund, people say they can pull a small percentage each year to supplement their living expenses.🤑

You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.
