Good one. Thanks for uploading your thoughts and the demo. Looks as though you can both throw the ball further (due to added weight) and while not audible in water, the dog can see it via the bright colouring... assuming the ball will float easily... Wouldn't imagine you've lost any of these? Been two years now, have or has it broken/failed?

I found if you kind of flat palm it and twist counter clockwise it opens easier, just fyi.

We have been through 4 of these with only 50% working for more than once. However, we have not found anything else like this on the market and our almost blind dog relies on the sound to find it. Also hard to find as it appears petmate is not making them now, perhaps due to the pandemic. Looking for a like product that it more dependable.
