In this compilation video, we go over multiple clips that range from bear attacks, encounters and even bluff charges. What makes these ''caught on camera'' moments so scary is the fact that they were filmed in remote areas like a forest, katmai national park or even glacier national park.
We even feature a moment where hunters encounter a huge grizzly bear and need to use their guns to protect themselves. Some of these creepy videos even feature black bears and kodiak bears, which are known to attack people who are out camping, hunting or mountain biking in the wild.
These bear vs man moments are sure to give you the chills and the fact that some people were lucky enough to capture these near death experiences on gopros ou on tape makes it even crazier. Some of these have even gone wrong, but some of the hikers were lucky enough to be carrying bear spray and to have their dogs with them.

I'd camp, but only in a camper and not in a tent. With an axe or gun under my pillow.
I live in Germany and there used to be plenty bears and wolves here. The wolves have returned now and established themselves again. But to be honest, I'd rather the bears stay away. A bear will chew its way into your house or even your car if it really is determined to get to that cookie jar. And that's going to get him shot down if the government deems it a "problem bear". We had such a bear in 2006, his name was Bruno. Bruno was not afraid of people for some reason and kept going right up to people's houses killing their livestock/pets. Unfortunately that's what got him killed, as they shot him down.

Absolutely chilling, just knowing that dude would've been bear food if the bear didn't hesitate

Black bears almost never attack humans. Their diet is 98% vegetarian. They will only attack a human if they feel threatened or if you get too close to a cub. That happened to me. I unintentionally passed too close to a cub and a mother bear chased me. I backed off slowly, but steadlly. After a minute (a long minute) she stopped and went back to the cub. The problem is that even with shows that make them seem like vicious killers, you still have people like that one moron who was trying to follow the ranger into the woods to actively look for the bear. That's the kind of stuff that ends up with bears being a "vicious killer". You may have been lucky enough to come across mostly docile ones but many others have not. Pretending that they aren't dangerous animals who sometimes attack simply because they feel like it- which they sometimes do- because you think it makes them look bad is irresponsible and kind of ridiculous, since the bears really don't care what we think of them.

When I was 13 or 14, my family was camping in the Cascades near Mt Rainier. One afternoon, we went on a ranger-led hike. I was talking to my brother while looking at the ground and suddenly realized that no one was with me. I stopped and looked back. The whole group was standing about 150 feet back. I walked back to ask why they were just standing there. By brother turned me around and pointed at a bear that I had walked past twice. It wasn't very big - maybe 5 or 6 feet tall. It finally went away and we continued our hike. I paid more attention to my surroundings after that.

Why are people afraid of bears? I've seen enough Disney films to know that, if you encounter a bear in the wild, you just start singing and dancing and eventually the bear will join in. Of course, it helps if there's musical accompaniment. Either a banjo or squeeze box would be fine, but almost anything will do. I ran into a mountain lion on a hike once, and as it charged, I began whistling the guitar solo to "Freebird." It immediately stopped its charge and joined in, banging on the backs of two turtles like they were conga drums. Soon the entire forest transformed into an enormous jam festival, complete with arts and crafts and microbrew tents. I managed to slip out in the chaos.
