In this compilation video, we go over multiple clips from bear attacks, encounters and even charges. What makes these ''caught on camera'' moments so scary is the fact that they were filmed in remote areas like a forest, national parks, alaska, russia and canada.
Encounters with black bears, brown bears and even kodiak bears are actually way more common than you might think. They often happen to people who are hiking, camping, mountain biking or even hunting.
It just turns out that some of them were lucky enough to capture footage of these near death experiences that almost went wrong on camera and go pro. This leads to some very creepy videos.
Thankfully, many people on hikes carry bear spray, which prevents their bear encounter from turning into ''gone wrong'' viral moments.
Get ready, because these bear vs man moments that could easily be considered near death experiences are sure to give you the chills.

Stupidity reaches the highest level here at 35:00 when the obviously British-accented tourists who have paid big $$$ to a tour operator to be deposited on some remote beach on the remote Aleutian Islands and who obviously have zero knowledge of wilderness travel and survival technique get surprised aggessively by a local resident. At least they had the guts and brains to stand up to it as a group which worked, although it is noteworthy that in all these encounters the bear usually left peacefully one way or another, despite the fears of the commenters here. There is truth to be prepared for a bear encounter, there is also truth not to be paranoid about it, the gun people will always promote an armed society, the peace people will always promote a dis-armed society, the truth is somewhere in between, be ready for aggression, but do not assume every bear is a predator out to attack you and eat you, statistics show that is extremely rare............. and that is "so-called civilized folk fear of the unknown" which "lurks in the wilds".............. made obvious by the knowledgable hunter at 6:25 who could have killed that bear with his high powered bow and arrow at any time but considerately did not.............. cuz he was quite sure the bear was just curious, and he kept his foot back so the bear could not suddenly bite on to it and pull him off the tree stand should it decide to do that. It is important to note that all the emotions the narrator accuses the hunter of having MAY NOT have actually occurred, humans are very good at accusing OTHER HUMANS of having the SAME THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS they are having, and in THEIR OPINION, should be having, to relate to situations in the world.

Had quite a few encounters, here in wooded areas of RI. But food sources for the wild are becoming an issue, and sightings are increasingly closer near homes now. Before I would go into woods alone, sometimes hear a woof, sometimes see and would talk gently, walk slowly away and keep looking back while holding my bear spray ready. I no longer head out, because I don't like watching over my shoulder, and freaking out hearing a twig snap. One area, a man I had spoken with a few time while in the woods across from his house, told me about a mountain lion in his yard. Waited for it to leave, got into his truck, and in rear view mirror saw it jump out of the bed where he had a garbage bag heading to the town dump. Living up in the White Mountains, NH, took my dog to do his business before bedtime. There was a communal dumpster, and a massive black bear was standing sideways looking at us about 30 feet away. I kept my eye on him, while telling my dog in a frantic whisper, "hurry up and go pee." Then ran as fast as I could to get inside. That is when reality hit me, and my legs started shaking. People over a few days who spotted him, agreed he was massive. Glad he was more interested in seeing what was in the dumpster. Went to a favorite waterfall in same mountains. At top of a small cliff, we crossed the little river it flowed from. Saw bear tracks and I joked, "let's follow." Stopped short with a really bad gut feeling, blurting out "let's go." Retreated quickly at a fast past. Had two dogs with us, and that bear had gone down below the falls, was crossing the little river in our direction. I realized his location when he didn't woof, but let out a growly grunt that scared me, and both my dogs were looking nervous. We just kept walking quickly, while I talked loud and firm with a deep voice trying to sound big and manly. Bear didn't follow. But still, I am afraid to head out alone now, mostly because food is becoming so scarce, meaning all are hungry. Thanks to all for commenting about your experiences. Nice sharing.

I've had more than a few bear encounters. Most are very quickly over as they are usually spooked of people and want nothing to do with you. Some are curious and will approach but will run when you make yourself loud and large. I had a black bear cub wandering up my road one day and was at a grocery store about a mile away a few hours later and the bear cub wandered in through the automatic doors. Saw everyone and bolted across the street and up a tree. My only frightening experience was running into two bear cubs on a hike with my dog. Immediately stopped and started to back away and quickly realized we were between the cubs and the mother bear who we didn't even see. Thankfully I'm very tall and my dog got very loud and we were able to get out before momma bear got close enough to do any harm. She was a fair distance off the trail and only saw her when she stood up on hind legs grunting.

In 2015 I was fishing in the lakes above Mammoth itself. I was standing on a log that extended from the shore to the middle of the stream I was fishing from. Over a period of about 20 minutes I had managed to catch 3 Trout, throwing them on the bank next to the log I was on. When I caught the third Trout I walked to the shore expecting to see two fish. There were no fish at all, just large Bear tracks. A Bear had apparently walked up as I was fishing from the log, and ate my two fish.

IF you are in bear country, do yourself a favor.. a) IF you aren't a soldier or someone who can fire under pressure, carry bear spray.. or, even better, B).. Carry a 10mm auto or a higher powered revolver. And MOST important of all.. Pay attention to your environment! (City or woods!). Last, NEVER run from a bear or most any predator. You WILL almost always lose... P.S.S.S... Don't EVER try and bear spray a polar bear!! He'll just appreciate the seasoning while eating you.

So why walk around in bear country without something to stop a bear? I’d hate for anyone to kill a bear, I have a healthy respect and fear for them but I do love bears. Either way I’d have something that could drop it as fast as possible if need be. Be prepared for any situation no matter how rare the risk of it is

The so called “explorers” at #12 were two hunters (you can even see their bow), the blue barrel was a bait barrel (legal there) and the bear that claimed the tree wasn’t the bear at the barrel it was a smaller one the bigger bear chased up the tree. I guess if you’d placed a red arrow on it people would have paid better attention and noticed the size change once the bear was up the tree

I live in the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee. My dog, Lucy, sleeps in the laundry room at night. She woke me up with an high alert bark, that meant something was outside. Lucy wanted outside to get at it so bad, but thankfully earlier that day, I heard a bear was in the area. Being afraid she may get hurt, I made Lucy stay inside. I walked out on the deck and quietly went down the stairs. I could hear my trash can fall over, but I couldn’t see anything from where I was standing. Then the bear walking on her back paws as she tore open a trash bag with her front paws came into view. I was about 3 to 4 yards away from the bear at this time, and she had no idea I was even there. I just watched the bear tear into the trash, looking for food for about 5 minutes or so. I know this was not smart, but I just love animals and nature so much. Then I stomped my foot and told the bear to go home. The bear jumped, it startled her, but she threw the bag of trash down and took off toward home.
