I analyzed their dance and I realized that at the end - as soon as they walked off the dance floor that they did the running walks to the audience in victory, and someone shouted "Numero Uno!" (or "Number One") after their dancing was done. But I know I have to delve deeply into it to get everything they danced to - the steps, the tricks, and even any air steps (lifts) and dips they have done. This is showcase stuff on the dance floor so that means tricks, so I have to look into them also.

You already covered the arabesque lift, and the helicopter blade pivots in closed offset position... and the first part of the other moves of the routine in this tutorial. But sadly this is only the first half of the routine. I studied the actual dance in the actual film and as a keen enthusiast in dance, some couples want to learn the complete routine, not just the highlights. Especially in the wedding dance demos that are disco-themed. So you should cover the rest of these moves in this dance..... - The Bending Arms In The Air (aka "Raising Your Wine Glasses High" move) - Latin Hustle Walkaround Rotating L (preceded with Lady's Loop Turn/Inside Turn) and Explosion to CPP Open, Then Kick Ball Changes to Skate Struts in Counter Promenade Down The Lane - Tango Hustle Sequence - After the Arabesque Lift (that you covered already) - the Exit, The Pushout into Man's UAT leading to a Deep Dip to R for the Lady and Holding the Dip Pose for 8 Beats - The Low-Level Eros Lift And Embrace And Continuous Pivot in Place With Each One - - -Kissing Each Other As They Pivot and lady still lifted (this is the most climactic part, as you know!). As you probably know, this is also a lift so try to come up with an alternative to this also. ...The Exit out of the Lift and Long Freeze Facing Each Other - The Long Eye Gaze The Finale of the Dance - -Out of the Gazing Each Other, Assuming Closed Hold L-R/R-L, do Spread-Out Arms and Man does UAT of Lady, and end dropping Lady's R hand on Man's Shoulder as he then turns to Man's Tandem - for the "Walking My Lady Back Home" movement - the part where they coolly make their exit out of the disco dance floor.
I think I know this hustle sequence. It is basically a theatrical or showcase hustle piece from the movie...Here is my thoughts on the analysis on the beginning of this choreographed routine. 1. My own analysis - because I was starting to re-enact the dance with my new dance partner. It all starts off with face-to-face in Closed Position. Starts out with a simple lady's dip. Then the fun begins - a crossbody-lead throwout into open break into Holland wheel forward-spot/back-spot - leading to a bit of a trace turn (about 1 1/2) into explosion. I watched the video and although it is good, I felt little bits of the dance were missing or weren't clear. In one part of the original dance Karen Lynn Gorney holds John Travoltas waist briefly for support but this didn't happen in the tutorial. The girl partner seemed a bit unsure and wasn't fluid much in her movements. I felt it more edgy in parts rather then fluid as was in the movie
If I were the hustle instructor in your place, I am thinking of instructional cues as the iconic "More Than a Woman" music happens... OK, closed position. And music please... Now go into the R-side dip - and recover. Ready, dancers, 1 2 3 go! Crossbody into explosion out Now Holland Wrap rotation R.....and do another explosion out! Again.. Chasse...Chasse, rock - step and explosion.... do the Holland Wrap carousel around - and explosion out again. Now into the 4-corners chasses with 2-hand hold.....change of arms into mixmaster cross-arm wrap turns...finish off with a haircomb dip L and a dip R for lady, recover. Now do the 4-corners sequence with a variation........then outside turn into R Shadow walkaround with an extra turn....into another explosion....now end in R open parallel position doing New York style forward struts.....(I would call them "Brooklyn struts") .....now finish with same-hand hold with a lady's turn to sweetheart as we go into the chorus. This is known as "man measuring the lady's girth sequence". You and the lady do pulse bounces in place in that intimate shadow sweetheart to the beat of the music. Now do a rotation R in that position..... That's not all of the whole thing but it is still an exciting theatrical disco dance!

Seriously? completely missing 100% of the "feel" of the original, and can you "teachers" stop using the prototypical "blonde"... stiffer than a board.. there's a reason the expression "white men can't dance" exists, the woman aren't much better... honestly the woman looks like a machine. Not to mention the moves are not correct, there's some resemblance but not right. It's ok to not be so good but the video is arrogant.
I think that when a person tries to teach you something and invests time and resources to do it, and gives it to you free and in good faith, you really do not have the right to criticize him. Instead of criticizing him, why don't you try to do something better, or give suggestions in order to improve. Try to be a better person and learn to thank and get away from bitterness, that will not bring you anything good.
Disco sucked in the 70's,it sucks now and it will suck in the future.There are literally thousands of real rock&roll party songs that are better to dance to than any disco song.
