HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANET JACKSON
Your very welcome Janet Jackson
I'm really enjoying my Janet marathon.
Happy Birthday, Janet!!
Hope it's a beautiful day for you.
This is such a treat for us .. 😊🌈🎵❤🎁💐✨
At 16 i got to be an extra in this Escapade video filmed in Universal Studios backlot, i walked up to Janet and introduced myself and she gave me the biggest nice handshake and Janet said she pleased to meet me, i really liked Janet at that time, so it was great she was super nice to me & she did look alot like her beautiful brother Michael Jackson, being on set with her was an awesome experience i never forgot:)
Fahamisha Thompson oh wow your celebrity. How can I ve a backup dancer for a artist?
@@fidelcastrosolis5108 No reply? I guess Fahamisha does not want any competition.🙂
Kimmy Granger Any reason for thinking that happened, or just a gut feeling? ‘Cause I have a metric shit-tonne of reason to DISbelieve Robson and Safechuck.

Yea me too
Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation best album forever!
All hail Janet. She's the reason we have CZcams today.
Y’all thought Michaels single squinted glove was iconic, that single giant hoop key earring hunni, iykyk😏 we did that. 🙌
One of the best sing of the 80s
janet made some of the best "happy" videos. from the fashion to the killer dance moves, this is why janet is one of the greats.

Who else was watching and listening to this on MTV in 1990 and is still watching and listening to this on CZcams in 2024!
She is a living legend. She has SO MANY HITS. I think she is extremely underrated.
I’d like to know what her career would be like had her brother not have been the most famous person who has ever lived?
@@Brownie-tg3nu JJ is talented in own right. She would’ve been bigger than what she is now ❤😍🔥

I hate how people make fun of me for listening to songs from other decades. I’m 17, and I like this song very much. Music is music🤷🏻♀️❤️
@Amy Garrido don’t trip they just don’t know good music don’t let it bother u think of it like this some of the best artists like MJ (the best), Janet, Madonna, Elvis etc studied music from other generations and look where it took them. I applaud u kid 👏🏾
I don't understand why .....most songs are a joke now of days xD, most are memed to be popular. Laugh at them for listening to modern trash.
I love this song since 2016 when I was 12 now I'm almost 16.
Well amy they must have listened to music when it wasn't as fun as this music is. Keep listening... Glad you like this at your age.
Keep going. Enjoy the music i listen to the 50's 60's 70's 80's and the 90's even 2000's to 2010
I don’t care I don’t care, I’m still listening to this song in 2023 😂. True Janet Jackson fan right here 🔥🔥🔥
Me too! Always a Janet fan❤
Facts Don't Lie
True Prince fan here. U do know that Jimmy Kam and Terry Lewis who were members of The Time and she shouts out Minneapolis on the video. They were her producers, writers and arrangers of all her classic albums! Google it.
It's such a delight to be watching this in March 2024. ❤. Remember this on my Tv screens back in the day...
When TV 📺 was free unless you had cable. HBO was the shit back in the day although I love GOT and now HOTD.
Sometimes I wish I was born in the 80’s and 90’s era! I’m just turning 29 and man the music back in the day sounds so different and smooth! The melodies and the way they put it together is amazing. People call me old soul but idc lol, I prefer music from this era any day of the week than the water down music today
That's because we had superstar talent back then, whether it's Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna when she was amazing and Janet Jackson who had Jimmy Kam and Terry Lewis who were members of The Time. The music was just that great music that made U feel alive. Today's "stars" only sing about negative things like WAP or Fat Ass Lizzo there's no real talent. These people wrote it, sang it and performed like the superstars they were. Keep listening through Spotify or videos and you'll be fine.
Ah yes when music was wonderful, joyful, AND fun.
She needs comeback. The Pop Music is nothing without her
paho she is back ! new single launches today :)
So adorable, happy and talented.
She had the cutest, adorable, and innocent, smile in her videos, especially this one. You couldn't help but to think she was sweet and nice in real life
“Let’s save our troubles for another day.” Listening to this at 12 vs 40 means so much more to me now then it did then.
I agree!
That day has finally come!!! Can't keep putting it off for forever Janet!
so true. i truly delved into the lyrics, mean so much more to us adults now. "been working hard all week, cash our checks"... makes me really appreciate such a feel good song when i heard it playing at the diners. i was really treating myself at the Chili's.
Pff the same
I agree
You know what i like most about Janet Jackson? it's how happy she looks when shes performing. Brings a massive grin to my face. Wonderful stuff.
She loves what she does and it really shows. Janet is indeed awesome.
Rhianna looks angry or disconnected in the eyes when she performs live. It kind of annoys me. Janet looks like she loves everything she does.
Beautiful smile
She looks very friendly and kind
Agreed. I love her and Michael's smile
Bring back 80's music videos!
When MTV only showed music videos!
Still here in 2024! 🎉 👌🏾♦️🔥
Janet was Killin it back in the day..! Enjoy.
The good old days Janet was topping the charts, Michael was still alive, Terry Lewis and Jimmie Jam were the hottest songwriters and producers and Paula Abdul was the best choreographer.
Absolutely.
We'll never see that much talent in one place again.
@@stanrouz4395 We'll never see that much talent period.
And Janet's boy toy was still a man.
Madonna’s Vogue was the latest dance craze and MC Hammer was blowing up everywhere

Happy birthday escapade! JANUARY 20 1990 / JANUARY 20 2015
The legend that is Janet Jackson.
after whitney houston successfully brake down the MTV barrier on women equality with men including skin colours as well.
Janet was stunningly beautiful in this era.
I'm 20 years old and I can't stop listening to music from this wonderful time of the 80s, how lucky those who lived through those years!
I lived it, and if youre American, it was the true definition of genuine freedom unlike this bs they preach today.
Rhythm Nation is timeless
We were SO lucky to grow up with music like this! It's so cool you are into it!
Don't forget the 90's though. Right Here Right Now by Jesus Jones. Freedom by George Michael. CAN'T forget Momma Gonna Knock You Out-someone threatened LL COOL J, next thing you know, he's sayin' his MOMMA could knock you out!😂 Can't leave Marky Mark behind!😊❤

I'm 38 and grew up listening to Janet's music and you can't fool me with these bimbos like Rihanna and Beyonce. Janet is and always has been the REAL DEAL!
Man listen... someone had to say it.
Rihanna and Beyoncé are the real deal also. Love all three of these ultra talented artists.
@@jamesoleary9166 Finally someone that knows how to uplift one Queen without dragging down other Queens
I will say thank you to Jimmy & Terry for writing Escapade.
I loved this song when it came out on Rhythm Nation in the late 80's and today I love it even more. Rhythm Nation has to be in the top 10 albums ever made.
Her best album for sure...
Agreed. I don't know why it isn't held in the same regard as Thriller. I loved Rhythm Nation way better.
Rhythm Nation absolutely rocks! This is one of my absolute favorite songs and the whole album is amazing!
Rhythm Nation and Teenage Dream are the only 2 albums ever to have 7 songs reach the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Old and New Testament of the Pop Bible ❤️

amen girl! she's right up there with Michael. love how she made a name for herself on her own. absolutely love Janet to the fullest.
@rudy2fat I'd say a tie when it comes to the dancing, but Janet was tops with me because her music was edgier and funkier than Michael's.
@@musicnerd72 you never listened to Michael's Off the wall album then
@@Jess-ew3tm Too " disco-y" sounding for my taste.
For my money this was Miss Jackson’s best single recording and best music video. The sheer joyful exuberance she expresses throughout, matchless and timeless. She has never looked better or sounded better. She had her troubles like all of us to be sure, but her happiness shines all over this a video, like a bright light. I mean really. It’s 2023, and we’re still listening!

2:00 ANOTHER iconic Jackson dance move invented on screen…the “touch your heel touch your toe” scissor leg🙌
I was a student dancer with Tina Landon who choreographed most of Janet's videos. Also, she did choreographed Rihanna, Ricky Martin, Michael Jackson and so many others. Icon!
Janet Jackson looks very beautiful in this video her and Michael are such icons I love them.
This song has got fire 🔥 It's a classic and always will be!! 80s rock!! 👍
Such amazing collaborations! She was smart to stay with Paula Abdul, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis
Back when I was a senior in HS, this was the most played song in Spring of 1990.
It blows my mind that this song and video are 34 years old! But it still sounds great! Janet’s music has aged like a fine wine, it has gracefully endured the test of time.
How is this not on GTA yet
Just reminiscing on my high school and college days from the early 80's to 90's! 🙏🏽😭✌🏽😁❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨ Damn Miss Janet Jackson was a legend back then and still is a living legend today. 🙏🏽✌🏽❤️❤️✨✨✨I think Miss Janet Jackson and I are the same age. I am 52 yrs young now , but 50's is the new 30 something. 🤷🏽♀️😁🙏🏽✌🏽❤️✨✨😘 I think almost all women of all races age pretty well; however, I have noticed through observation that most of us Hispanic and Black women that are from 45 yrs young and up seem to look at most 5 to 15yrs younger as we age, and all thanks to GOD for our genetics. Miss Jackson, still looking young and strong. ✌🏽🙏🏽✌🏽❤️❤️✨✨✨
This song is catchy and has good lyrics. Excellent rythm and the song draws you in and you can't help but listen to this hit song by Janet Jackson.
Every time I hear Janet Jackson's classic hits, it makes me smile ear to ear

Some artists are cold and distant, aloof. JANET is too warm and loving a soul to be rude like that!
I having the biggest smiling while watching and listening to this. I miss my childhood.
I really hope that this song is in a time capsule!!!! Everything about her and this video was fantastic. She can sing and dance such that anyone would take notice. The production value of this video is like oh come on awesome! She doesn't even need to show skin. Her moves sell this video along with the production value . Her song sells itself because it's great, and her singing is cool and fantastic!!

Man.. Janet was super hot and ridiculously gorgeous. What serious talent vocally and her dancing was unparalleled. Ahh the 90's... Life in general was soo simple and good then. Social media killed it all IMO
Just saw her in concert two days ago and she put on quite a show. She’s still got it at 56

1989 was THE YEAR of the music video: MADONNA - Like A Prayer, Express Yourself, and Cherish. JANET - Miss You Much, Rhythm Nation, and Escapade. These 2 women dominated MTV for over 5 years. Oh, to relive those years.

Im so blessed to have seen Janet live. N'sync opened up for her & it seemed like 4 every song, she changed her outfit and played the video of the song on the big screen monitors.

4:06 Janet Was Hitting It!🎼🔊
I still love this song after all these years, this was my childhood. 80s!!!
Must say this sounds so much happier and vibrant than pop music nowadays. What went so wrong between 1989 and 2015, greed I guess?
+maccagrabme yes ive been thinking that for years now.
+Jessa M I think it has to do with the technological revolution more than the sexual. Computerized vocal tuning, special effects, and shocking explosions, etc. in music vidoes and concerts distract from someone's lack of talent. As far as sex goes, Madonna was standing completely naked in her music videos around the same time "Escapade" was rocking the airwaves. Sex has always been there. LOL.
+maccagrabme Um, Hello? I'm guessing you must have lived in a cave from 1996 to 2001 and didn't see that whole bubble gum pop phase the world went thru with songs like 'Wannabe" from the Spice Girls, "Mmmbop" by Hanson, "Barbie Girl" by Aqua or the "Macarena" by Los Del Rios?
Taylor Swift was born in 1989 so music started to decrease in quality and meaning!!!!!!
+Aqib Asif haaa lmao
Escapade is a Happy Friday song. No doubt!
You're thinking about the weekend when that song plays 😊.
I always loved Janet Jackson since I could remember. I started loving her dancing from the Pleasure Principle single onwards. Before that, her moves were like a Lakers cheerleader and we know who's behind that. I cringe seeing her Nasty, WHYDFML and When I Think of You moves. After this Abdul choreography, she became a dancing icon that even Beyonce admits to being influenced by it,.
I love her hair in this video. Also she had one of the best smiles ever besides my wife's.
Awwww, that's right. Put your wife above everyone, including Janet lol. Sounds like your wife has one gorgeous ass smile.
