Why increase the price only in Nigeria where the raw materials is in proximity to the production and his largest market bases are? If Dangote genuinely cares about the people he could sell the products for half the price or lower and still be very profitable.
Think about this, selling the same products outside Nigeria for over 50% less price after paying transportation labour costs, duties and exercises and is still profitable. Why then is Nigeria giving him all those breaks when his product is not affordable by the people? It is because of the same Dangote Obasanjo's administration stiffened and put Ibeto Cement Factory out of business in Nigeria. I support what the House Speaker did things got to change.

Sometime i wonder if we really analyse issues critically before making conclusions. Dangote is a business man and not a government parastatal. My dear people don't be fool by this government that can not play it part but trying to put blame on some one else, is Dangote the reason for increased price of fuel, food stuff devaluation of naira, insecurities ? List goes on. Come on we are better than this na, are you guys expecting Dangote to spend money in buying raw materials for cement production and sell cheap? Think think think and think again. Dangote is not the enemy of Nigeria. Dangote don't have a house abroad, show me one senator or rep member that doesn't have a house abroad? Does he know the incentives other countries give to thier home companies to give them the global advantage they have? Tell me Elon Musk, Bill gates, Toyota and the likes were not helped by their home countries. Which incentives is he talking about? It is not your fault. If Dangote had slighted Nigeria by sighting his companies in South Africa or Ghana and you have to import everything from cement, flour, apasta, aviation fuel, diesel, fertilizer and all, at the current exchange rate. Is it Dangote's monopoly that prevented the country from having constant power supply?
Is it his monopoly that caused the high pricesof food?
Is it Dangote's cement monopoly that caused the high price of petrol and diesel in Nigeria?
How can you blame a man for being successful in his business?
If his price are too high why not buy from another? If the government refuses to allow importation of cement and the other local manufacturers not manufacturing to meet the demands how is it Dangote's fault?
So is it Dangote that asked Bua and Larfarge cement to sell at the price they sell?
If Dangote' price is much how about others?
If anyone blames a single man for monopolizing wheras he has never been a minister, governor of president then its simply shows incompetency on the part of the government.
