There's just something fulfilling in watching Fire Giant panic roll like players
Panic roll, that was the giant remembering he’s wearing kirk/elemer’s armor and realizing it did a shitton of damage.

He even successfully rolled a few of the golem' s fire attacks, taking no damage. In that moment, Fire Giant became the very thing he swore to destroy.

@@user-fg6xg5fd4v nope, fire giant is coded to keep rolling like that if the player (furnace golem in this case, basically just whatever its fighting) isnt far enough away from him at the end of his roll, meaning that wasnt a bug in the code, just a weird choice the devs made
He's actually coded perfectly, it just seems odd from an outside perspective. Fire Giant is coded to roll away from the player, and if he's farther than a certain distance, he'll phase into 1.5 and start using fire. If he cannot reach this distance, he will roll again in an attempt to reach it. He will do this infinitely if he cannot outspace the player. This code seems to have applied to fighting the furnace golem as well.
Enemy AI can only target the Furnace Golem's face, this was done so your spirit ashes couldn't just intentionally go after its legs to make stance breaking these things easier.
FromSoft went out of their way to make these things as tedious as physically possible
I guess the only one that doesn't apply to is humanoid summons? My mimic tear kept rushing the legs with me when it could

If these were supposed to fight another boss in the vanilla game, at the very least they wouldn't have infinite stance against them. These fights just aren't meant to happen
It took me 20 minutes to kill a fire golem on journey 8. I thought to myself this is the definition of insanity..... they must have 100,000 hp or more on journey 8 at least. I know consort Rahdan has to have at least 90,000 HP. One shot will kill you with 2000 hp.
the only 1 i bothered killing was the 1st for the deflect tear, even completely buffed w marais executioner sword it's tedious af

@@truant69103 staggers and it falls for a Crit. You also can throw flame pots into the top to deal MASSIVE damage
On NG+ the weakest Furnace golem has 108k and the strongest is roughly 230k consort of radahn is at 47k and NG+7 is in the 80s
@@TheVnmusthat’s only on the mountain ones with the intact armor. The weakest fire pit does like 10k second does 21k and a furnace one does 43k for me.

I know he’s way weaker without dd, that’s literally why they gave him sh*t stats but as I said he can still do damage, his sword and dd projectiles can deal damage even without the destined death effect. Go watch him fight the furnace golem in Bjorn's vid, he did pretty good even though he missed a lot of attacks (because of the sh*t hitboxes) and his DOT wasn't working.

Astel, Theodorix and Rykard are true MVPs. They took off most of his health with meteors and magma pools. Helps that Theo and Togethaaa have huge HP pools and high fire resistance so they could stay in the fight for a while.

These aren't too bad once you get the mechanics down, ,my first one took me like 4 hours to beat though on NG10

I just hate that you get them in a spot toll kill them with giant fire pots then the damn things TELEPORT back where they were and murder me from afar or i have to wait and bait them for 30 minutes till they get close enough to hit them again before they teleport away again...

I love how Godrick does his whole arm-chopping action into his second phase, only to instantly get knocked tf out by the Furnace Golem lmao, got swatted like a fly
At first I thought these insane monsters were hard, and then I realized they were a reminder that the jump button exists. It's so easy to kill them now. Colossal weapon + jump button means broken stance and no damage taken.
However they are stupidly strong. They resist basically everything and have way too much health. Bad design if you ask me. Not to mention they hit harder than every single boss in the game unless you have flame protect me and the max fire resist talisman. Bad enemy.
No boss will beat these things until they fix the hitboxes alot of their attacks cant even hit these things
