"Postpartum depression" or in simple words "post-pregnancy anxiety", is a mental disorder which affects 40 to 60% of women, who deliver babies especially for the first time but unfortunately amidst all the attention being given by the family to the newborn, the mental and physical changes and at times, even trauma being faced by the Mother is totally ignored. The protagonist in this film is a young woman who is pregnant and how her life changes during the course of pregnancy and post-delivery. She unknowingly suffers from Post Partum Depression and her husband supports her to come out of the same with the help of Music.

I watched 'New Born Mother' today... It's a wonderful movie. There is a need to spread awareness about this issue.
Am really happy that someone thought of making film and thus generating awareness on such an important yet almost ignored aspect ...all kudos to the concept and all those involved in the making of this film! Special appreciation is due for showing the husband and newborn father to be so sensitive and caring!

Yes. I didn't get even 0.1% care like her. I got to know who is what. Even my closer ones blamed me for their mistakes and spoiled my life. But I'm happy because I'm strong now and able to face any difficulties in life
Me too ...... when you yourself don’t know Wat to feel and how to react to your own baby it’s literally a curse.... but my husband always stood by my side and luckily I was back to normal within 2 months and now I love my daughter ( 5 months old )more than anything and she is my world ♥️
I guess I went through this but I wasn't aware it was postpartum depression I was restless everytime tired and felt lonely inspite of being with my family but did not face even 1% after my second baby

That's why in India after delivery we stay at our mom's house And mom always take care of her children and their grandchildren ..... I didn't get any depression after my delivery and it's a very memorable moments in my life because of my mom... ❤️ U mom

I was so depressed that i use to get suicidal thoughts.. I started recollecting all those memories by watching it.. By the grace of God my baby is 6 months old now..n m mentality stable

Postpartum depression is real... It hits really very hard. Motherhood is not an easy job. First one month I suffered with depression . I felt suicidal. Nothing helped to overcome it.. Now baby is five months old. I am recovering slowly . Mothers need equal love and attention which baby gets.

Only a mother can understand the phrase "postpartum depression". I have experienced it twice and believe me it was stronger the second time. My husband is really supportive and took care of me really well.

Kudos to the whole team for working on such a topic it’s important that people are aware and have empathy. Actors have performed flawlessly, the anxiety uncertainty and calming voice of a male actor these two should be cast together in more short films. And I hope for any girl who is getting married to find a partner who listens and understand coz most men don’t get it but it’s real. Postpartum depression is no joke.

I was alone at my pregnancy and after Delivery my baby when he was 10 days old, my my husband went back to Tokyo. It’s a cyclonic journey for me and I fought alone and learned alone and growing alone with my son. He is 1 year now. postpartum depression is common and nobody can understand better than me but thanks to my inner motherhood which everyday teaching me that you are alone and u have to take care of your baby. Such a realistic short film. I can relate to it totally. But the only difference is all that I could hear from my husband was 'you are not the only one to give birth and you don't fit to be a mother when I needed him the most. However I picked myself up and pat my back every day for doing a great job being a working mother. Self love is the key. Love yourself.

I lost my Dad in a car accident on the 7th day after my first child was born.And my mom was also in that car and was badly injured and admitted to a hospital.I couldn't travel internationally to attend my dad's last rituals and to see my mom in the hospital. Women's are god's most powerful creation who can take up any tough situation and can come out of it bravely.Postpartum depression is a very small thing that can break a women.We women can take much more and fight with it bravely.
