Would you recommend the goat, or the cow formula?
@@porscheaable I personally have only used the organic line of Kendamil infant milk and have never used Kendamil goat milk so I honestly cannot speak on it, however, I have heard good things.

Thank you for this video! I’ve been giving my son the Kendamil infant goat milk (stage 1) since he was 2 months old. About a month ago I saw Kendamil at Target and got excited only to see it was “made for the USA”. From what I’ve read, European standards are much higher. I’ll continue to buy the UK version.

I can attest that they are not the same. From my understanding the iron in the US version is different. My 2022 baby was on the UK version and did so well on it. Then when they came with USA version I gave it to him and it made him SO gassy. And he also wasn’t finishing his bottles. Went back to the UK version and he went back to doing great. Now I just had my second baby and get it straight from the UK. He’s 4 days old and is doing great. No gas no spit up. My first son was on Enfamil at birth and I could tell from day 1 he wasn’t tolerating it.
It is truly amazing what our baby’s can tell us without even saying a word.

Well I must say the 1 I bought from Target was perfectly fine my baby is not fussy or in pain she is having regular bowel movements she is happy she loves it I have a 5 week old ❤❤❤ but thank you for the awareness sending love to the family

The US cans have fluoride. The US don’t require that the amount of fluoride is included on the label so it isn’t but it’s still there. It’s naturally occurring fluoride in the milk.

I believe you’re using two different types of formula ‘ one says “ infant formula “ the other says “ first infant formula” so it might smell different and have a different texture. Also, by law. if it says manufactured /made /produced in EU then it is made there. So I have a feeling it’s the “first infant formula” you very first purchased. u can purchase all 3 versions you talk about in the US. So there is no different USA version

ik they are not the same but what is better in the US? My baby was on Enfamil, and she threw up all the time. We put her on smiliac .... both had her sick. Boom We put her on the Kendamil US version and a big difference. I would still get the US Version since it is so hard to get the UK version. It also still tasted better than any milk made here.
In my opinion, Kendamil Infant Formula is the best amongst the other US formula brands on the market, even with knowing there is a difference from that of the UK.
I had a pediatrician in the hospital pushing US made formulas on us during our stay and provided us with samples from two major brands. The first two ingredients on both of these was: Corn syrup and then maltodextrin. Yeah, no thanks, threw them right in the garbage and went and bought Kendamil.
@jernbek1 Omg 😳 I definitely understand you. When you used the word “pushed” I felt that deeply. My baby was hospitalized after his one month check up due to weight loss after birth. I informed the doctors that I had a preference to breastfeed but if I was not able to continue, Kendamil was my formula of choice. They denied use of Kendamil in the hospital at the time because they had never heard of Kendamil and said the measurements would be off and pushed for me to use Similac and/or Enfamil because it was familiar. I kept telling them “no” and it was still “pushed” on us. I did not like this at all knowing that the ingredients were not the best.

Congratulations to you and your family!! I am so happy to have shared my experience because I absolutely love Kendamil and was extremely surprised with how my baby reacted. I just had to say something to someone that was experiencing what I was experiencing with my baby that has an allergy. It definitely confirmed that the milk was different and I will only purchase from the UK. If you choose this line of milk I hope you and your baby enjoy it as much as we do.

This makes me so sad because I just purchased the Kendamil Goat milk from Target and to hear that it isn’t the same is disheartening. I am currently exclusively breastfeeding and want to transition my baby to the next best thing as my supply is dropping. I can’t afford to pay for the cost of milk from the Uk 😢 now I’m reluctant to use what I bought.
Please don’t get discouraged because I love Kendamil and I truly believe that the US line of Kendamil infant milk is still better than any other US formula (in my opinion) out there. Also too, I have only used, reviewed and shared my experience with the Kendamil organic line so, if you feel like you want to try out the Goat milk that you purchased, I would say go for it and see how your baby takes to it. You know what is best for you and your little one. We are all mamas just trying to make the best decisions for our little people and it is okay to try and see what works and doesn’t work. It’s the same but there is three different stages she is showing. It’s all made in the EU like stated
My son is exclusively breastfed and I started him on Kendamil Goat from Target and he LOVES it! So much so that I believe he prefers it over breastmilk bc it keeps him full longer. This review she posted is specifically for the cows milk formula not the goat milk. I recommend you to try the hot milk! Every can I’ve purchased has been finely milled, virtually no smell (could potentially smell sweet but not really any smell). I even tasted it myself and it tasted very good! My son isn’t gassy, fussy, and very rarely spits up. (I supplemented with Enfamil gentlease given from the NICU a few times and his stomach could not tolerate it. He was all of the above).
I also checked the ingredients on the UK goat version vs the US goat version. The ingredients are the exact same. The nutrients, vitamins, minerals vary bc US breaks theirs down based on 5fl oz where as UK breaks down theirs based on 100ml (roughly 3.3fl oz) so US numbers are higher bc the fl oz are higher. I also called Kendamil asking why UK has first infant milk (0-6mo) and follow on milk (6-12mo) and US has infant formula (0-12 mo) the rep told me that it’s because US regulations require their formula to be suitable for the entire infant stage where as UK requires their formula to be available in stages to include toddler formula. The rep also mention that the US infant formula is the same as the UK first infant milk. All of this info i provided is for the goat formula ONLY.
If you look at the bottom of the cans it will say “country of origin - UK” or Spain or Austria depending on which formula. The farming industry in Europe is very similar to the UK so the cows are still happy, free roaming cows.

Hello , I also use the kendamil organic bought it at target and on the back I noticed it does states it gets manufactured in Europe , but distributed in a location in Colorado, whereas the goat milk formula doesnt state where its made.

Hi, yes! In my opinion, even though I have stumbled upon differences between the US and UK formulas I still believe that the US version is better than most readily available formula products here in the US.
Dam, yall balling out on kendamill. Im using emfamil A+ premium ready to feed and i find it gets expensive as they grow . The same product by kendamill is almost 8 times more expensive.
It most be alot cheaper in the usa becasue anything goat milk here in canada is expensive.

How long would you say a can will last? How many would you buy for the month?

@@porscheaable I combination feed and a can will last me about 3 weeks (my baby’s bottle at 6 ounces every other feeding) so it depends on what you do. If you plan to use only the formula I would say depending on the ounce size given, a can may last closer to the 2 week marker (3-4 ounce range per bottle). As far as how much to purchase at a time, 4 cans should be good for a month’s time. I personally buy 6 cans at a time because it is cheaper buying in bulk.

why does formula land website say 1 can shipping from california- is 1 can coming from US?
I actually wondered the same thing when I went to order a single can as well. I inquired about it, for at the time no single can of formula was available for purchase but ordering in bulk was the only option available to me. I was informed that they have a warehouse in California that receives shipment from the UK to fulfill single orders. I personally have continued to buy in bulk because it is more feasible in the long run for my family. Hope this was somewhat helpful.

The organic infant Kendamil I bought from target for my grandson smelled like fish. And he spit up quite a bit today. I would like to order some from the UK but I’m a little nervous about who to purchase it from

I switched my baby formula from similac advanced to kendamil organic. My baby was splitting up and had Constipation on similac advance. So much where she was losing weight I switched her to kendamil all of the symptoms stopped. My kids doctors was trying to think i wasn't feeding her thats was not the case soon as i put her on the new kendamil organic everythinggot bettershes evenhappier think god for target they sale it and walmart.
Wow, this touched me because my baby struggled to gain weight when he was first born and we ended up in the hospital. Doctors wanted to give my baby enfamil but I was against it and I informed them of Kendamil. At the time Kendamil was still very new to the states and I was told by the nurse that they wouldn’t use it in the hospital even though I preferred it and had only strictly breastfed my baby. Well, guess what, I was talked into giving my baby the enfamil and he broke out in hives! He had an allergic reaction…… I told myself at that very moment, we as parents try to make the best decision possible for our babies and sometimes we should stick to what our gut tells us. I hate that your baby was losing weight and that your doctor thought the worse of you, that is an awful feeling to feel as a parent. So happy that you have found the best formula for your baby. I say “BEST” because I love Kendamil.
@@annaiseshades6433that happened with both my babies as well. My son lost about 12 oz and his doctor said the same thing. We have different doctors now but with my daughter she was a preemie so i stayed 5 days in the hospital with her and it took a min for my milk to come in and they gave her similac and she was projectile vomiting it up. She lost an entire pound and was already a preemie and they didn't say I wasn't feeding her directly but I kind of got the impression they were thinking it because they were telling me to force feed her to finish a bottle and wake her up to keep eating this formula she was vomiting up. But she's ok now she's just smaller than average

Thank you for the video. I am about to purchase the US version of goat formula for the first time today. Would you say that UK and US versions are different for goat formula? Do you think it's worth paying the premium to get the UK version?
I honestly have not tried it and I personally would suggest trying the US goat milk first knowingly that it is in stores and convenient. Just see how your baby reacts to it before considering to purchase from the UK. Hope this helps. I can only speak on the UK organic line in regards to the US line because that is what I have always and continue to use.
I believe my target has the UK version if i remember correctly i just bought a can. My baby has a lot of spit up and constipation and gas.
That is awesome if they do. You can tell if it says "first infant milk" UK made VS "infant formula" (0-12 months) European made. I know forsure the UK's "first infant milk" was shipped here directly from the UK when there was a formula shortage a few years ago but after that the "infant formula" came into play. On the back of the "infant formula" can it will say MADE FOR USA. Either way, I love Kendamil. I suggest to everyone to just see how your baby reacts and go from there. Unfortunately but surprisingly, I was able to discover that my baby had trouble digesting the US made "infant formula" but was able to drink the UK's "first infant milk" with no issue. I would not have made this discovery if I hadn't once used this formula in the past with my first son so I am greatful and happy to share my findings as a parent.
I double checked I was wrong just the American version but I called the pediatrician and they told us not to use organic.

I don’t believe that they would change it. I truly believe the cow’s are the key factors. The UK’s line of milk states that they use British cows where as the US is very vague in where exactly the milk comes from.

The only difference between the organic sold in the UK and the organic sold in the US is that the US cans have Ferrous sulfate which is a different iron source than the UK cans iron pyrophosphate. Kendamil are actually changing it back soon but other than the iron source change the cans are exactly the same.
As for the CMPA. Has your child been diagnosed with CMPA? Because the organic sold in the US has one difference ingredient but the composition of the milk is exactly the same. The organic sold in the US and UK are still being made in the same factory just with two different iron sources so all the ingredients are all sourced from the same place.
I find it a little bit hard to believe that baby has a cows milk protein allergy but doesn’t react to kendamil at all because it’s all the same proteins in the UK and US cans so .. are you sure baby isn’t just sensitive to other ingredients in other formulas.
The change in label for the US cans was to be compliant with the FDAs regulations on infant formula labeling but the change in iron source had absolutely nothing to do with the FDAs approval and more to do with the availability of the iron source they were using and struggling to keep up with demands across the world.

I absolutely love Kendamil with a passion and what Kendamil stands for. I just know that my baby struggles with the US organic line but is able to drink the UK’s organic line.

Why does the Uk have floride?!
I questioned it too and then did some research. From what I have found breast milk and most ready-to-feed baby formulas contain an appropriate amount of natural fluoride, or low amounts of fluoride that has been incorporated into the formula. Giving baby the proper amount of fluoride is essential for decay-resistant teeth. This was research that I have found pertaining to baby formula in general and not specifically for one brand. Hope this was helpful in anyway.

What is the difference between the organic and the classic one please. I’m not sure which one to use
I have only used the organic line of Kendamil infant milk because it is a personal preference of mine so I can only speak on my experience with the organic line. I have researched that organic milk has a higher nutritional content, has even more healthy omega-3 fatty acids, and has more disease-fighting antioxidants than non-organic milk and due to this, I have always chosen to use the organic milk.

How does this compare to HIPP infant formula?
I have heard great things about HIPP infant formula as well but, personally found that Kendamil was the best fit for my family when researching a formula for the first time with my oldest son. We too were at a crossroads between Kendamil and HIPP. We ultimately decided to go with Kendamil because it was crafted using organic whole milk from grass-fed cows vs. HIPP being made with organic skim milk. One other deciding factor for us, Kendamil does not use palm oil.
