Fun fact: in brazil she’s called “moranguinho” which literally just means “little strawberry” so i never stoped to think about the shortcake part!!

Raspberry Torte WAS actually named Raspberry Tart back in the 80’s! The name was changed back in the 2000s!!

I never thought about the “missing cake details” in strawberry shortcake but I think it’s mostly cause I’m from Brazil and the characters name here is basically the diminutive of the fruits name

@@kaidiars oh it’s like strawberry shortcake is moranguinho (witch means little strawberry) same with other characters lemon meringue= limãozinho orange blossom= laranjinha I think the only ones with more different names are raspberry torte= cachinho de framboesa (which means little raspberry cluster) and blueberry muffin= amora linda (that means pretty blackberry)

Wish I had my collection of 80s Strawberry Shortcake dolls to watch this with me lol. I LOVED Orange Blossom and Raspberry Tart (I also know her as that, just read someone say that's what it was in the 80s, so makes sense.) Your Strawberry was lovely too, but I think the white hair is just a bit too much for me ^^' I loved the idea behind it though, you're right, they rarely focus on the shortcake
lols ya the white hair felt off to me too but i wanted to try stay very far from her og design!! ur so lucky u got to b surrounded by the 80s versions!! i always had the newer generations but the 80s ones r so much cuter they remind me of those wool hair dolls similar to raggedy anne
@@kaidiars Thank you, I love them! They’re actually my mom’s, she would get them for Christmas when she was younger. Luckily even as a child she had the soul of a collector, they’re all in excellent shape and even still have their smell! I got really into them as an adult and together we bought all the ones she didn’t already have.

There is something that I was confused, you said that oranges don't have seeds, but they do?? I don't know if this is something from were you get your oranges, but I have orange trees, and I can say that the fruits definitely have seeds XD

i use ibis paint =) i’ve used it for 6 years now and love it,, i tried procreate but it wasn’t for me but it’s definitely worth trying out if ur not sure =)

The designs are great and all, but wdym oranges don’t have seeds? Huh? Maybe I just don’t use oranges enough, but I always assumed they had the same seeds lemons do.
