After that paddle went flying out of his hand, I wondered where is the wrist grip on these paddles? no straps? You'd have to only use one hand and play a little harder but damn, better then throwing your paddle out into the crowd.

The right handed male usually goes on the left side of the court as he can cover more ground with his forehand. Male players are usually the better player in mix doubles. Position will flip if the female is better.
i like the part where they hit the ball
Pickleball is essentially ping pong played on a tennis court. The paddles and the sound the ball makes when hit is identical.

The forehand player crosses over the line and takes those shots. It's not poaching or hogging..forehand has a better chance to hit the ball.more accurately. When the girl goes on the left she will cross the line too
They’re trying to win, he’s got the momentum. You do what you can to help your partner out when you have the better shot.

I saw a Championship Sunday from a year ago; match where B. Johns constantly kept foot faulting at the kitchen never was called on it🫣🤫😳Aren’t the referees paying attention. It’s the game that B. Johns & AL waters were wearing pink. vs C. Paréntesis & McGuffin wearing orange. Great match yet what a rip off for the other team as B. John’s got away with foot fault time after time 😮😳😵💫Wake up Referee 🤪😴

You need quick response to return the ball. But you are right if you just play for fun.

thought this was a team event - this Newman guy is all over the court leaving his partner out of most of the action, why I never like 2 person court sports, very unequal and unsportsmanlike behaviors.
There’s a difference bw unequal and unsportsmanlike. Basically every pro that’s been asked about this including the women says this way is good because it’s the best way to win even if it looks weird. Women’s doubles and men’s doubles is more even so you’d prob like that better.
sock and waters played together and they played equal. It was actually fun to watch. the men need to respect the skills of the women
@@ttank7241 Ben is the best man and Riley is like top 5. Sock is well below that standard so AL as the best woman took on more. Do you really think these women are being forced to play this way? They all think it’s their best shot to win. Ben even does this to Colin, who recently won a silver without him.
@@amit212543 I know where you are coming from but it is not in the true spirit of the game and not fun to watch... unless you are a republican man who thinks women need to be controlled by men. One issue bigger than this is line calls. I might be time to have lines people. Having the competitor making the calls does not work when money is on the line. What do you think.
@@ttank7241 the play style is decided by the people who play. in this case, the guy is hitting most of the balls because that's their style of play, and it's effective. they want to win more than make sure both the guy and girl hit the same number of balls to meet your agenda.

Yes, it is a watered down version of tennis and table tennis (less speed/running). However, the game makes it possible for everyone participate and stay active.
