- The capitol of Albany was initially planned to be what is currently Washinton D.C. So there was more work and more elegant features that went into this capitol building over any other capitol building in the US.

The most impressive spaces inside of state capitol buildings are the legislative chambers. All we got was a sneak peak through a door! How is that possible?

It['s one of the most elegant capitols because it was meant to be D.C. and so much money and time was dumped into it that they are still doing work on it.
Nothing Special should be Albany's Motto.
The capitol building is definitely special. It was going to be this nations executive capitol for the president much like D.C. it took over 7 years to build.
@@RyanJosephLong As a state capitol building, it's bottom tier, along with Oregon, Nebraska, Florida and Alaska, nothing special.

@@RyanJosephLong Maryland shows it's colonial roots best, Connecticut's is a gothic masterpiece. Wisconsin's is grand. I love the color of the stone in Texas. It's hard to pick a favorite. But some clearly should get a do over. NY state capitol just looks like a nice old office building, nothing remarkable.
