They don´t change and don´t know how to hide it. We women, on the other hand try to adapt ostensibly but we´re basically still who we always were. Then we get tired of acting and all hell breaks loose. She´s right. Get someone as similar to you as possible or stay single.
So right, women tend to be very amenable at first but this always backfires spectacularly and then it takes on a con artist trick vibe, which it truly isn’t but there you both are…

My ex-wife was amazing before we married. Within 3 months, she had done a complete 180. She used to have arguments with me in her own head. In each case, I would always piss her off with my responses. Like I said, this was in her head. She'd come home furious with me.

There exists for many couples a basic energy level discrepancy. I am 72, long retired, coasting on fumes. My beautiful wife (we’ve been together more than 35 years) has, at 74, enjoyed a 2nd wind, a 3rd wind, and is now working up to a 4th wind. It is fortunate that I am a big guy - I’m not easily blown about by much of anything short of a full gale.

Wait till you see the entire elastic (mine doesn’t like boxers; I don’t know if they have an elastic band) go bad but if they still hold up they believe it’s all good. I just throw what I perceive is worth tossing (30yrs).

About 20 years ago I turned the sociology departments at 2 universities on their heads with the phrase "all men are clueless, and all women are crazy- it's just a matter of degrees on both sides. Once you look at life through that lens everything makes sense." People don't always like it, but it works.
Married many years now, we laughed till we cried. So spot on!! I learned early on to tell my husband the right answer right after I finished spouting, that way he'd get it right! He has a perfect track record!
