  • What's up everybody!! Check out my recent visit to the famous Rosa's cantina located here in El Paso, Texas! Rosa's has stood the test of time and has so many good stories associated with it. Definitely had to showcase it on our channel for being one of the first EP originals! As the story goes, Marty Robbins and his band were traveling from Nashville to Phoenix. They happened to stop for a break in El Paso in front of a local watering hole named Rosa’s Cantina. The place was already closed for the night but Robbins looked through the windows and walked around the joint, casting an eye toward the badlands of New Mexico. this scene would end up inspiring his song El Paso which would become a hit all across the world! Today, Rosa’s Cantina is pretty much the same as it was in 1959. Housed in an unimpressive rock building next to a garage in a part of town where blue-collar workers hammer out a living, Rosa’s Cantina is a destination spot for Marty Robbins fans from all over the world and one of the biggest staples about this city!
Have you ever been to Rosa's cantina??

Back in the 70's when i was hauling beef from north east Texas to California i always tried to stop at Rosa's. First time i ate any Mexican food was at Rosa's and loved it ever since. This made and old man smile thinking of the old days. Thank You for posting.

The Marty Robins song "El Paso" was adopted as the UTEP marching band song, but it's played faster.

Rosa's is unique little bar/restaurant. My Mom use to live down the road off Mulberry. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Jorge...hello from my hometown Chicago. Maybe one day ELP could be my next home for me and my family. We did a 5 day trip last year July and I really like the small town city vibe. We visted a few nice areas, regardles the hot weather. Yes.. we ate a couple of good Mexican restaurants. Don't know how missed this one. So how about if you do a video of the Mission trails. We didn't get the chance to go to see those beautiful missions. I just thought it's a idea during Lent. Thank you for your channel. Keep up the good work friend. Godspeed.

I was born and raised in EP, but left as soon as I turned 18. Haven't been back in 20 years now and the thing I miss the most is the food. There's some of the best Mexican food (not Tex-Mex) in not just TX, but the entire US of A. Hope to visit soon.
