I love these budget builds for daily drivers. Don't need to empty the bank account to make these newer Coyote 5.0 trucks quick. Better to go forced induction right away instead of wasting money trying to make it go fast N/A...LOL. For actual race projects, I don't spare any expense because I need to be able to trust the parts that I'm putting on my race vehicle.
Any more the f150 XLT with FX4 is over 50k stock. Raptor R msrp is 108k. Raptor R has alot more features than just a supercharged v8 you are missing out on. I tried to turn an f150 into a raptor and spent more money than I did on my current raptor...
Have you had any reliability issues with the On3? I’m looking to purchase one but can’t decide to buy an on3 or save up and buy something more expensive. I would be running low boost with the turbo (around 6 psi).
What all did it take to fix the crossover pipe? Fabbed a new one completely ? Or just fixed it? Damm you do such a good job with your content wanting to push me to boost lol. Wouldn't be a competive setup just something to defend itself vs a trx if ones feeling froggy lol
8:01 well I could call that 600hp by any mathematical standard 😂….. maybe opening up the airway from the down pipeline-back… it’s possible to alleviate some back pressure and slightly increase HP… (theoretically) 😅

@jbandzpays you don't have a clue what your talking about. First of all you can install any cam in a coyote and it's not gunna chop unless you tune the vct to chop. Second of all the ghost cam tune does the same thing as a cam does as far as having overlap in the cams so that it does chop. So it's not a fake chop, it's doing the same thing big cam would do.
It's called a ghost cam... it's all in the ECU tuning, not actual aftermarket cams. One of the cool tricks that tuners have been able to do with the Ford Coyote 5.0L V8 since it has independent variable cam timing. And actually, Ford was the first one to offer this on a stock, production vehicle, which was the 2012-2013 Mustang Boss 302. It came with a black key and a red key, the red key made it idle like it had aftermarket cams.

Haven't heard of anyone having any issues on those cars and they've been out over a decade already. I would only recommend getting a ghost cam tune from a reputable tuner though.

They cut it and reused most of the cross over pipe, perfectly sealed now!

What is your exhaust set up, I have heard the single creates back pressure issues. I am on the fence with this kit for my daily.
