Another video of extremely high “comps” if you can even call them that. Do they over estimate so you can get more on whatnot sales? Error glow nov 5 sold for 150 euros…. Two last comps for jehrico are 100 and 120… the Darlys are list for 80-100…
That Error glow that you found that sold on (Ebay Europe) that was a European sale was a fraudulent sale. The seller did something shady with it since the bottom of the funko pop box was dated 2016 but the Error Glow came in the 2015 box. NONE of the error glows came in the 2016 box. The Pop that was in that box was manipulated to glow a weird green color, it is not an authentic "error glow." It is fraudulent ebay sales like these that are a causing price manipulations on HobbyDB. I think you found the ONE sale that caused the price manipulation on this pop.
at the end of the day those prices are guidelines there worth what people will pay in a auction or best offer and the people with deep pockets know there stuff also the popularity of this pop even with a accurate price of 590 is a very small market theres tone of marvel characters people would rarther spend 590 on
@@therealslimshady8903 Yes, i have preached that for years that PPG is just a guide. It is the baseline value for the initial negotiation to find the value to either buy, sell or trade the pop. Age, condition, rarity plays a factor with the value going up or down.
PPG does that so mystery box companies can put "high value" in boxes while making money

Ty which is the company that owns beanie babies is worth 6.1 BILLION DOLLARS. Funko is only worth 387 MILLION DOLLARS. Funko would kill to be worth as much as Ty (beanie babies) are in 2024.
@FranchiseKicks But individuals who bought Beanie babies as an "investment " lost a ton of money. They would kill to have their savings, their 401K, and their kid's college funds back. There's even a documentary about it.
Collectibles are fun as long as you are using disposable income for them.
@sunnyscott4876 beanie babies were hyped prices. I.e. brand new beanie babies were listed for 100s.
The equivalent to the beanie babies boom is the stanley cups and amiibos.
With funkos they are more like a modern day marvel legends or dc figure. Some go up after they are no longer sold and some plummet because no one wants. Alot of the tanking in price is from people who hyped/band wagon bought, or bought pops as investments like they do with pokemon cards.
Really like when you pull something you like the excitement and enthusiasm are amazing and really made me enjoy the video that much more. Hope to see you do an autograph pop mystery box!

Hobby dbs issue is because it pulls all solds, and a computer program determines the average. Unfortunately that can hurt the resale value in the long run if going by ppg
it seems a lot of websites are having glitches as far as pricing items go. I just checked on pricing for a Tommy Hilfiger(hope I spelled that correct, I do better when I am actually looking at it.) and the prices were all over the board. I think something fishy is going on with websites to cause these glitches.
I'm done buying these myself. I usually get 5 VERY low value Pops, and then one GRAIL to get up to guarantee value. Problem is my customers are not looking to blow juniors college fund on a piece of molded plastic. I have an entire ring around my shop at the top of the walls of pops valued anywhere between $1100.00 and $1675.00 that I will never be able to move.
with cost of living skyrocketing and energy prices, nobody is gonna buy a ugly cheap piece of plastic that doesnt even look like the actor of character for 1000 dollars, that is just reality. Maybe 1 or 2 collectors with money to blow.
@@amarieoflothlorien exactly right. But what expected is if I buy a 4 Pop mystery box at guaranteed value for $700.00 I'm hoping each is worth around $160 to $180. Not 2 worth 30 each, 1 worth $80, and 1 worth at least $560. It's those that are high value that yes people want them, but the value is too great so I end up with something like a set of the 4 original Simpson Pops that now are basically museum pieces.
I would venture to guess since none were sold it is taking that as a sale for zero dollars. thus this would cut the price in half.

I have that CM Punk pop unsigned. They could unvault it but wwe usually just does new gear pops when they do multiple releases and even if they didnt, the original date on the original box will still fetch more
Another PPG/HobbyDB price gone wrong strikes again. Honestly these mystery box companies need to do better, If you can check ebay prices then they can too especially if they are a business. To many mystery box companies taking advantage of PPG/HobbyDB ONLY as their prices with outdated prices, glad you could take the hit there is no way you will you get $590 for that Taskmaster especially when funko is dying.

I haven't removed a CZcams comment in years, probably like around 2019 or so. If you say cuss words or something vulgar it gets flagged and remove by CZcams, not me. As long as you don't cuss, don't say something racist, CZcams won't remove it.

I don't collect funko pops. I only collect autographs, doesn't matter if it is a signed poster, signed baseball or a signed collectible/funko pop and very rarely do I ever get an autographed funko pop I actually want to keep from a mystery box. Most of the auto'd pops I do get are usually anime and I have no idea who the people are and I obviously don't keep them.
