People that devote their lives caring for animals are respected and revered beyond almost anything else in my heart.
bless.
I agree completely. I think I just found my soul animal.
I hope people help them so they can keep helping animals.
I heaved a sigh of relief only when I saw at last that Reva was alive and well. Splendid work by Diane, May her legacy continue.
DIANE McTURK IS ONE HELL OF A TRUE WOMAN THAT DEDICATED HER LIFE TO ALL KINDS OF ANIMALS!!!
AMAZING LADY!!!
What a generosity of Spirit this woman has…and how beautiful the giant otters she has devoted her life to. Thank you for sharing this.🖤🇨🇦
She is truly a remarkable person. I believe there is a special place in heaven for people like her. May peace be upon her soul and I pray that someone has stepped up to take her place. Peace to her and all animal conservationists out in the world trying to make a difference.
The Jane Goodall of the Giant Otters.
God bless this women for she is something special!!!
Wow, she is got a lot of energy for a 74 year old woman. If her finances are so bad, then she should set up a go fund me page, I am sure animal lovers would donate to her cause, I know i would definitely donate something. She seems like the kind of lady that if she had her last $5 dollars she would rather feed her animals then her self, she is the the kind of person that you just know donations would not go to waste with her in charge. It pisses me off that people all over the world donate money to these huge charity organizations, where the organizers fill their own pockets with money first before giving what ever is left over to people in need and this poor old woman is having a hard time surviving because she gets very little financial help. I really wish I could help her some how get more money for her sanctuary but I don't even know where to start and how to contact her to set up something.
she passed away wilderness-explorers.com/guyana/diane-mcturk/
marinela ronquillo omg no way that’s so sad the world has lost something amazing that is in someone so special that’s so sad I hope someone is continuing her work!!!
Many of these documentaries posted to CZcams are old and those we admire in them already passed on. Had their efforts been during this time where people can easily donate & support them via social media I wonder how much more they could’ve accomplished? 😕 But it makes me more determined to try and find those doing such things today and offer any support I can. But alas they seem very rare.
@@marinela2262 would you know if anyone continued her work? Perhaps a protege or young wilderness scientist?? the article just said that they mourned her loss and cherish the legacy she lived behind in her beloved Guyana. It doesn't have an update as to what ever happened with her land and the otters.
@@richardhertz749 yes she established the org to continue her work i heard her daughter is active
Not all angels have wings, Diane is one of them!
She is a beautiful Saint and if I had any chance of meeting her or interacting with those otters I would drop all my life in a heartbeat and go running right out there
You can do volunteer work at a variety of animal shelters across the world. Ive been temped myself recently watching stuff like this ^^
Stay in preschool as long as you can. Life's challenges will come soon enough. Ask an adult to help you understand my wisdom?
She died in 2016 unfortunately

This was a great little doc. Thanks
Bless this woman, we have to do better by our planet and animals
If there is a Nobel for conservation she'd deserve it.
The great woman who save otters 😍😍😍

Sadly we don't get enough of giant otters. 💔😢
I LIVE IN GUYANA AND DIDN'T KNOW OTTERS ALSO LIVE IN GUYANA THEY ARE AMAZING

Greetings from indonesia
Reeba could possibly be the cutest animal in the world.

The harshness of life in the wild
Ashley is a flipping boss
He looked like a dog growling with the fish in his mouth towards the end lol
Otter be an amusing job. 🤣
I know he was gunna say “humans”...so messed up
I thought I saw a Seal just now here inside our private inherited lands Sumatra, Indonesia while I was walking alone in the dark with only pocket torch in my hand without carrying phone. But with legs? Then I pointed the flashlight, yeah! They were 3 big wild Sumatran Otters. They went into the river of our jungle.
Be safe, stay away from human, don't go out of the jungle.
3men there and one boy and none of them went get water. They let the 74yr old woman go fetch it smh
They remind me of the cryptid up in Iceland!
Any caiman dares approach the old lady, the otters will be on it like shit on Velcro.
what's the bird called from 9:30?
Do you still have the Eco Tour Lodge?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
River wolves
enjoy this so much and glad Reva made out well. :)
Those giant otters from here, south America, scare me lol but I know they're harmless ❤️
😍😍😍😍😍😍😘😁
One people one nation one destiny
Aren't those small children feeding the young otters in danger of being attacked by camen.
Why the crazy frog impression when they eat they sound like there playing motocross 😜
How did they know where the otter was but she didn’t? They never informed her?
It’s obviously staged
Ariranha
Music is a bit too zany too watch
I love Ashley I need a man like him
They're cute but I couldn't handle that high pitched screaming all the time
The whole video....the same crew recording this lady... is recording the otter she is looking for...and not telling her?🤔😆
Those are some mighty fine water sausages.
Where do I go to donate $?
10 meter anaconda is not going to happen. That works out to 32 feet & the largest snake measured was Rect-Python at 27 feet.Anaconda is the thickest & heaviest snake not the longest.
Come on guys it was a great story was a reality yes and no the story was a good one but I don't believe that the animal really knew the old lady made believe that that was the animal she raised cuz the animal looked scared if the animal knew her she won't be scared like that but I ain't mad great story
Let them survive on their own Giant River Otters are a pest.
They arent a pest they are war criminals these mf scare anacondas caimans and 3ven jaguars yes fucking jaguars thats speaks for itslelf
Can they be domesticated
Ginat otters are monsters bro they would kill you if you touch their rivers they even scare jaguars they are terrifying so no rhese giant Otters cant be domesticated but i think there are some other species rhzt can
Don’t know if they do this or can afford to do this in that country, but a donkey, mule, jackass, or whatever... will protect the horses, cattle, sheep, or whatever. I’m not sure how they’d do if THEY were the target of a silent stalking jaguar, but they might get the upper hand if a jag went for a herd member first. One kick or bite from a donkey and that jaguar won’t want to tangle again with an animal that could permanently injure it. They use them here in the states to guard against panther/mountain lion, cougar all names for basically the same animal, just in different regions. Anyway, my point is, for someone who wanted to help save jaguars, would it not be a good idea to donate donkeys to the farmers? The farmers could breed their donkeys, milk the donkey, that would pay for its feed and care and they can replenish their own “supply” as older ones pass away. Am I way off here???
:D
Why do people think Otters can be pets? Baby Otters are poached, arrive by mail in cardboard boxes, dead or almost dead. It's a sin.
He'll learn after being nipped a couple times
s funny i sthis otters
"Barbaristicly imagine", this lady battling off someone who's intent on killing the last Great Otters so someone can temporarily get hard. For sex no rape of all planet wide living species to pay a fictional debit to those who money and responsibilities blood let their /our environments to service their entertainment demands. "Stop all persons from the act of taking our plants living and their generation to infinity".... "I am so grateful for this video and the woman who does good at her earthly job". "Be like her"...! YVO
I watched this until the narrator of course HAD TO point out HUMANS as the "most dangerous" species on earth....
Most of these animal lover types never have children. So they sublimate parent instincts into animals.
@@margarettaft7362 Apparently Diane had a daughter who carries on her legacy (she died in December 2016)
That shouldn't bother you, whiny brat
