The excerpts from Metal Gear 2's manual included in this video are from an inaccurate fan translation. This doesn't change anything, but we thought we should point that out.
I never liked the idea that the lovable scamp from MGS3 would turn out to be one of history's greatest villains. I like the idea that Big Boss carried on the legacy of The Boss by making himself the biggest target on Earth in the name of peace. Really ties it together.
Is loveable scamp the right word for him? 😁
@@LouiesLog I would say that depends entirely on how many times you called your squad on the codec.
He's wasn't bad at all
@@ssj2_snake he is pretty loveable isn't he
Yeah thats Big Boss's story. Players only assume he's bad because because we knew nothing about him or his motives until we played MGS3, PW, and MGSV. Even though MGSV barely features Naked Snake, we see what his mission was by the end and throughout by proxy with Ocelot
Big Boss in 1984: We can change the world and with it the future.
Big Boss in 2014: It's not about changing the world. It's about doing our best to leave the world... the way it is.
Ironic that David and Hal had no idea who Joy was, yet they were the ones who accomplished her Dream Better than anyone in the series.
I really love the fact that Solid Snake's story is about how he fought on a mission to stop the ones who wanted to free and save the world, because he was told that it would free and save the world
Very easy to explain when Snake was the clone with all the recessive genes according to lore. No one expected shit from him
"This one line is why a Metal Gear Solid movie is never gonna happen."
Well, that and Konami is too busy making pachinko machines and snorting cocaine to bother licensing the rights.
That, and the fact they can make a Metal Gear Solid movie but not a Metal Gear Movie, so we'll never have a remaster or a movie.
Deadass you're my new favorite channel

I like the re-framing of the mythos and intent of Naked Snake, a.k.a. Big Boss, that you have introduced. And it makes more sense when you realize that the true tipping point for Big Boss was the aftermath of METAL GEAR SOLID: GROUND ZEROES. He went from being an active participant to becoming the power behind the scenes growing in influence while his "phantom" built the legend of Big Boss when Venom Snake and Diamond Dogs took on missions throughout the world. All the while, Big Boss was building the necessary resources and connections to counter Cipher. And by this time, Big Boss saw everyone as a piece on his chessboard. Including his own cloned sons. So your deductions make more sense with the evidence presented in all of the games in the franchise. Well done. 👏🏾
Actually clones are considered brother insteqd of kids
@@slimboarder.o7not by the way “The Sons of Big Boss” were conceived. They were still made using his seed and an egg. Not even Solidus was created in a machine or a test tube from his DNA or whatever.

What kind of monster throws their game manual in the garbage???! Those things were works of art!
What i think is that Venom Snake is morally superior than Naked Snake aka OG Big Boss, this is where the difference between them comes.
He has Naked Snake memories including all the losses he suffered and all the pain, Naked Snake literally chose to leave and hide to pursue his own goals but Venom remained to fight his own demons and his own pain that has broke him, and at the same time to take revenge.
Venom Snake saved Miller from certain death, Venom Snake killed Skull Face and avenged everyone and at the same time saved everyone from certain death, Venom Snake inspired loyalty and empathy along his own men, he shown kindness and cruelty when needed.
He is the phantom pain, the phantom of a supposedly dead man who endured all the suffering and all the pain of being him, at the same time we the players are also the ones since we control Venom Snake.
Big Boss could’ve been the man to save the world, but instead he sold it
Sold it to GameStop for store credit. And only got $5 for it.
Oh no, not me, I’ve never lost control…
Also in MGSV TPP, Ocelot clearly stated that Big boss was creating his true Outer Heaven in Zanzibar Land. So from the beginning, Venom Snake was the fall guy.
That's true, but we couldn't mention that because it was ambiguous which Outer Heaven Ocelot was talking about.
Since you mention Gray Fox's involvement with Big Boss's overall plan, it makes sense now why he's not in "The Phantom Pain."
Big Boss could've given N312 to anyone. It just so happened to be Gray Fox.
@@AfterlifeGames True, but think of it the perspective that the operation in The Phantom Pain was about rooting out all of his likely traitors, Gray Fox not being one of them. Putting them all in one place under the command of the fake Big Boss against Zero and seeing where their loyalties lie after the truth is revealed. We kind of get the impression of it with Miller swearing to train his clone sons.
"What you really wanted to be was a hero. You compromised and decided to be a monster" - saitama
Just a theory Big Boss thought Venom is expendable and time to move on with the plan.
So the players are all expendable. Interesting idea.
what i don't understand......is how in world can you get to the Big Boss fight - the final boss fight of the game - only being class 2!!?????? rescue prisoners much????
Correction:
The excerpts from Metal Gear 2's manual included in this video are from an inaccurate fan translation. This doesn't change anything, but we thought we should point that out.
The mg movie director: Write that down! Write that down!
Could it be that Venom Snake (the player) caught on to what the Boss truly wanted, and the thoughts of what Ocelot was plotting behind their backs while looking like an obedient dog, He personally trained Snake and had him destroy Venom's outer heaven in hopes of following the footsteps of the Joy? After he was taught by Venom, Miller would step in aswell and make Solid Snake stronger with the skills he had obtained.
The sneaking suit from VENOM as a parting gift, The bandanna worn from the joy that was gifted to him by Miller, and the CQC and combat skills from the two.
I love how the series does a full circle and the very first scene in the original game is only a short time before the events of MGS5. Avatar aside this game had a massive impact on my childhood and young adult life.
MG1 takes place 11 years _after_ MGSV.

At the end of Internet 1.0, we, kind of, had all the data there what we needed. Anyone who knew “what to look out for” would be able to find it. Now at 2.0, we get to know things we didn’t even guess to search for but the amount of nonsense on the internet is vastly more than even before (perhaps there’s only 10% or even 0.01% proper information).
The old wikipedia is still somewhat trustworthy.
After living in Japan, I can tell you they don't know what to look for _now,_ let alone 30+ years ago.

Good theory, even better presentation. I was particularly impressed when you added conext for the Zanzibar Land descriptions use of the word mercenaries. Often when doing research fan theorists don't take the time to contextualize the source material for its time period, translation issues etc. Excellent use of the historiographical method for a deep lore Metal Gear video!

*Itachi Uchiha has entered the chat*
You (almost) got it right...you see, what makes the entire saga make sense finally is not taking things at face value and everyone in MGSV sing in harmony, but quite the opposite! Venom learning his life and all the comrades were basically betrayed and used as pawns nearly getting killed by XOF while the real Big Boss was safely hidden away would have caused him to outright rebel. Knowing he was to be killed so everyone would think *Big Boss* was dead, Venom was supposed to allow an agent to come in and kill him (mirroring MGS3). With all they amassed, as stated between Miller and Ocelot in post-credits as well, the duo of Venom and Kaz would rise up to destroy Big Boss and Cipher (who have a temporary partnership), and why Gray Fox was captured out of defiance, and later Snake was actually sent in to literally kill the imposter and destroy Outer Heaven. Remember the ending of Inglorious Basterds where the plan was for Hans to surrender so everyone won, but Lt. Aldo couldn't live with that? Same thing here!
After doing so and killing Venom, Master Miller wants retribution and assists Snake in "killing" the actual Big Boss as well. All the major players make sense being where they were and aligned with whom during both missions, and above all else who is going to willingly sacrifice themselves and the nation, they have built along with everything else that was taken from them!?
Why the fuck don't you have more likes?
I completely agree! Although many things are open for interpretation, this is also my point of view
this video and the one before it was so clear and well-written that it contextualized literally all the lore from the several multiple hour long video essays i've watched on this series in the last couple days better than any of the other ones 😭😭
i understand it much better now, but i think i disagree with your last point. there's only so many resources that can be pumped into a couple people invading a military state. obviously there's a fuckton of spending on research and training and whatnot, but it's like you said. zanzibar land would be an isolated battlefield with minimal fighting, which means there's not only very little casualties for the scale of a war but also just not that many soldiers to pump resources into. less people involved means less money involved, which in turn means officials have more incentive to use that money in more productive ways, whether for personal gain or the good of the people it's still better than funding large-scale mayhem
So what exactly do you disagree with? You just restated my point.
@@AfterlifeGames you said that big boss's ideology was flawed because war would still be humanity's primary effort but like there's only so much they can throw at zanzibar land at once, they would have to demilitarize because threatening zanzibar land with force is not seen as a viable option, and that effort (and spending) would have to go to more productive things
Oh, I see. In other words, you're unfamiliar with the military-industrial complex.
Yeah, arms manufacturers wouldn't be willing to sacrifice any of their profits. And neither would the corrupt politicians who essentially take bribes from those arms manufacturers. Politicians already use tax dollars for personal gain, which isn't productive in any sense of the word.
If warfare could only be conducted through one-man infiltration missions, Lockheed Martin would develop a $500 million Iron Man suit the next day. And their biggest client would be Outer Heaven.
@@AfterlifeGames even then, it'd be pretty fucking hard to spend $2.25 trillion on just suits or cybernetics, nanomachines and whatnot. 4000 of those suits would need to be made and at that point it's just embezzlement for the sake of embezzlement. yes, politicians will still try to use that money for themselves, but there's a lot less money moving around that can go missing if it's only being used for one person. they still would have to cover shit like that up and when there aren't nuclear weapons and other things like that being moved around it's going to be a lot harder to coverup random sums of money going missing like it does constantly already in the real world. so yes, while they still would spend exorbitant amounts of money on these things, i cannot see a world where they can feasibly spend $2.25 trillion dollars (the current annual global war spending) on one man
@@AfterlifeGames and i'd argue that money going into some sleazebag's pockets is better than that money being spent on weapons of mass destruction
“You going to smell the rocket”

I strongly believe that Big Boss allowed Solid Snake to kill him in Metal Gear 2. Just like Boss allowed Big Boss to kill her. I believe that Big Boss could never force himself to kill Solid Snake personally. In MGS V when Venom shoots Eli and thinks that he killed him, Venom is horrified by that and shouts NO in anguish. If Venom has Big Bosses memory then he probably has same feelings as Big Boss about those memories. From that we could deduce that Big Boss does not see his "twin sons" as monsters. Big Boss even trains and teaches Solid Snake personally like father would a son and gives him his codename Snake. For the rest of his life he uses codename that his father gave him.
Yeah but bb knew it would, he genuinely wanted to share a singke moment with his son and show his thoughts directly, willing to let his story end so his son would live on with some closure.
I really think Venom deserved a better death to be honest.
Just finished playng TPP, for like te 4th time, and the gameplay never allows you to shoot Eli with real guns, so what are you talking about?

Operation Intrude N33 was designated because the UN needed Outer Heaven(Diamond Dogs) to be taken out. It was later on that Solid Snake found out that it was Big Boss(Venom Snake) leading it
It's N313, not N33.
MSF was destroyed in 1975, but Big Boss still referred to it as Outer Heaven. The Outer Heaven in South Africa was a different entity.
The UN only went after Outer Heaven because the plan was to make OH a target.
Solid Snake never knew about Venom. He thought he was fighting the real Big Boss.
Edit: MSF, not Diamond Dogs.
@@AfterlifeGames It was N313. And MSF (Military Without Borders) was destroyed by Skull Face and XOF in 1975 when they attacked Mother Base. Diamond Dogs was Venom Snake's own scaled down version of MSF. And they became a bigger threat because "reasons". Venom Snake had to die to deflect any attention away from Naked Snake/Big Boss.
@@LucLightWolf121 Yeah, there you go. But the UN never needed for Diamond Dogs to be taken out because the UN knew Big Boss was their commander. No one knew who was in charge of Outer Heaven until Venom (playing Big Boss) revealed himself.

Accounting for a myriad of external variables, which changed plans and tactics, he did.
I think a better term you might wanna try is "plethora." The word "myriad" has a... well, a plethora of linguistic rules attached to it that make it really difficult to use properly.
Also, Ocelot's the one who saved the world, not Big Boss.
@@AfterlifeGames Not the type to edit mistakes, but "plethora" it is from now on then ^^
I look at it as, Boss became indefinitely indisposed (MG2), so Ocelot, Eva and Naomi had to improvise.
But they never strayed far from the original plan, and Ocelot made his nephew destroy the A.I, as was the original plan behind their machinations during MGX1 & 2.
Per definition Ocelot, Eva and Naomi was still working under Big Boss (who wasn't technically dead yet), and despite a *plethora* (☺) of external variables, followed the original plan almost to the T.
This is how I always interpreted it

Fun fact on solid snakes play carrier in metal gear solid. 4. The small patch he wears on his chest is Japanese for to let the world be... Fitting for the ending of this video.
The Philanthropy logo is a combination of the katakana characters オタ (o-ta) from Otacon and 魂, meaning "soul," which can be pronounced either tamashii or kon depending on the situation. The Philanthropy motto is "To Let the World Be," but that has nothing to do with the Japanese writing.

"That's why a Metal Gear Solid movie is never going to happen."
Me: Uh, dude, Oscar Isaac is set to play Solid Snake.
He agreed to do it if it ever goes into production... which is never going to happen. Get it?
@@AfterlifeGames I'm going to admit, I'm not exactly the brightest bulb in the pack, so I am going to ask, Is this all a joke and part of the video? Because again, he is set to play SS, there is a director, and is currently IN DEVELOPMENT.
@@jrny20 That's not how movies work. Jordan Vogt-Roberts is _trying_ to get the movie made... and failing at it. You get actors like Oscar Isaac to sign on to generate buzz and get the studio to increase the budget. That's all they have: an agreement that, if somebody ever signs off on a budget, Isaac will play the part. Unfortunately, JVR is a Jokima fanboy, meaning Konami will never give him the rights.
Sony has been trying to make an MGS movie for the past 20 years. First, they got Keanu Reeves. Then it was Hugh Jackman. After that came Christian Bale. All of those guys were really excited to play the character. And each time, the movie went nowhere. What makes you think this one will be any different?

GW AI type dialogue
Yep, that at the end was the exact thing to be learned. But boss did try to achieve bosses dream, and he was good for it, but his method was wrong. He tried to force it and when you force something that shouldn’t it breaks. Boss wanted these things to happen as natural progression of humanity. The only thing that stunps me is how exactly would that come about? Honestly I would’ve made the same exact mistakes as boss because in my world view of you just passively take park and hope the world just ends up going on it’s natural cycle peace won’t just eventually happen on its own, so it’s confusing…I guess you just have to put more faith in the idea that there is good in the world
Dude you just answered literally all the questions I had about this massive plot hole, thanks
There's another possible explanation for MG.
Big Boss and Venom turned at odds, and thus Big Boss sent his best operatives to do the job (Gray Fox was the very best of FOXHOUND and Snake is his copy after all).
This possibility is supported by the final discussion between Ocelot and Kaz, foreshadowing the inherent conflict between all parties. There's only room for one.
Futhermore, Venom is actually quite distinct in personality and goals from Big Boss. Part of it from his past identity and from suggestion. Venom is against the use of a Metal Gear, declining the offer of using Sahelanthropus, unlike Big Boss who actively made one. Venom is against nuclear weapons, as seen in the nuclear dismemberment ending, once again unlike Big Boss. Venom doesn't use child soldiers, Big Boss actively does to ”stalk the flames of war and bring them on the battlefield”.
Add to that, Venom seing himself as a litteral demon because he was thrusted into the role, as seen in the final cutscene, and you can get the sense that Venom didn't like allof this one bit.
At last, Venom was used by Big Boss, much like he himself and The Boss were used, the hypocrisy.
Now, you could see how Big Boss and Venom had to face each other in some capacity.
And for the why Venom never revealed anything? Well, he is loyal to the end, just like the Boss.
That didn't happen.
@@AfterlifeGames Why not?
Dare I say, if Venom is the closest we’ve ever got to have an avatar in MGS, him being eventually the enemy of Big Boss, makes doubly sense as for us Big Boss turns adversary from then on.
That’s what I’m saying. All of it.

Regarding the martyrs of OUTER HEAVEN: Big Boss did go back to the place to rescue the survivors (with his mercenaries, probably ZL mercs). He cared so much about his men, he tried to save even those that supposedly survived a self-destruction and a bombing.
Regarding OH & ZL: In MGSV:TPP, *Ocelot* mentions "Big Boss is away, building the real OUTER HEAVEN". Who dies in OUTER HEAVEN? Venom Poser. Meaning BB was building the real one, the one he actually cared about. I was surprised by this throwaway line, it somehow solidified the entire series and the myth of BB, by being put right at the end of MGSV as an aftertought.
Also BB let Venom, his double Made In Zero, die with his clone, Solid, also by Zero ("why won't he sTOP MAKING THEM?!") so he could kill two birds with one stone. Then the dude made his own country and everybody loved him and called him "one-eyed uncle". And his SUV was a nuclear capable Gundam.
What a chad.
Excellent video, loved it. Well built and detailed without being pedantic or FnAf ThEoRy sh!t.
I mentioned Big Boss rescuing OH survivors in the last video. Big Boss was a guy who truly cared about people. Like he said in Peace Walker, he knew where his loyalties lied.
The original OH in South Africa was developed in secret. Until it was completed, Venom's job was to fool Zero into thinking BB was still active as a mercenary. But BB never knew Zero created Venom in the first place. Anyway, the "real" Outer Heaven Ocelot was referring to was the original, not Zanzibar. Then a couple years after OH fell, BB Prime instigated the Mercenary War, liberating ZL from Russia.
Chad Boss, indeed.
@@AfterlifeGames BB never knew about Venom but made the From The Man Who Sold The World tape? Didn't BB give Venom a "get well soon" card?
The great thing about overlapping narratives,
is the that all history and subtext is Subjective, from the view of the current narrator
It was left to be interpreted as we the user pleases ???
You sir are a genius. You have single-handedly saved the Metal Gear canon. I always thought that the only way Snake could have surpassed Big Boss in combat is if Big Boss let him (as evidenced by how easily Boss CQC's Snake in MGS4 even though he's been frozen for close to twenty years.) I found your video on Ocelot fascinating. How much do you think Big Boss and Ocelot planned to bring about the victory of MGS4 together, or do you think that was still more Ocelot than Boss?
Ocelot was always working alone. That's just the kind of person he was.
I wonder at what point they deviate. At the end of MGSV it appears Ocelot knows more about the real mission than Miller…. Seems like Ocelot and BBoss have been communicating more than BBoss and Miller and have planned Venom’s fall to Snake for operation Intrude, but it does seem odd that Ocelot are tighter than BBoss and Miller at this point, and Ocelot is more privy to BBoss’ true plans. I like the idea that BBoss masterminds the events of the Outer Heaven uprising as a test run for Snake, before their actual showdown in Zanzibar Land, but I wonder if BBoss was not planning to have Snake defeat him intentionally at Zanzibar Land, and start him on the path towards actualizing the Boss’ will… all without Snake knowing. Like you say…. Certain things line up too well and it does make for a poetic flourish… I.e. BBoss choosing to end his life to a protege in the exact same place he fought his mentor 35 years earlier… Maybe BBoss realized Outer Heaven could never truly function without the threat of Metal Gear… and gave up on the dream and had to forge a new plan to actualize the Boss’ will. Seems like the events of MG1 and MG2 are all theater to unite the world against a common villain as you say… setting off a chain of events that culminate in the victory of MGS4… That said… What is the Big Boss Ocelot relationship like during all of this? Is Ocelot’s doing the planning or is Big Boss? If it’s Ocelot, why does BBoss fail? What is BBoss fatal flaw? Is it his use of force? Or is that yet another orchestration to throw Zero off? Seems like there are still questions left over from MGSV since we only get the information BBoss wants Venom to know… as opposed to the whole picture which totally destroys the idea of MGSV being the so called “missing link” of the series… I do wonder what Big Boss’ motivations actually are during the events of MG2. Did Boss’ want to lose to Snake on purpose… or does he actually take a heel turn and Snake defeats him in battle? Somehow, I find it difficult to believe that Snake would be able to best Big Boss, even in his advanced age… The more these games delve into BBoss’ psychology, the more he becomes the hero of the story, and Snake becomes a bit part in the narrative… Putting into question the whole free will vs. determinism themes the story tries to set up through his clone heritage… It does make sense that Ocelot would be the one to most accurately actualize his mother’s will more so than the surrogate son or Zero, but it seems like both Ocelot and Solid Snake end up playing the same role… that is letting the world be without creating a world dominating Big Brother in it’s wake… but I wonder why Ocelot would have to sacrifice himself to do this by the end of MGS4… And it does seem like Solid Snake never truly makes a choice to bring about the change everyone has been fighting for nearly 50 years of the canon undercutting his whole journey as a character…. The guy is pretty much working for the bad guys the entire time… It does seem like there needs to be another installment to dive deeper into this stuff… Maybe a remake of MG1 and 2 where we see what “actually” went down behind the scenes of the Outer Heaven uprising and the Zanzibar Land Disturbance… Giving the player the option to play as both Solid Snake and Big Boss, showing the story from two different perspectives… (even though we know BBoss is orchestrating all of it…) Just some thoughts…
Big boss did want solid to destoy outer heaven. Venom had no clue what was going on and was just a doppelgänger that died
Same as most MGS fans.
@@AfterlifeGames nah I’m a little less than average I wouldn’t say the same as them
Man, I feel bad for Venom.
I’ve never heard this interpretation of big boss’s actions, pretty well spoken too, nice job dude
“I gave this mission to a rookie thinking I could use you to fool the rest of the world…”
I’m thinking that this line still has credence because we don’t know what the ruse was… we mostly still don’t, but we can speculate… because it’s only implied that there’s something else going on that we don’t get, we didn’t even know there was a “phantom” until MGSV
Since the first Big Boss our Solid Snake kills is supposedly the Body Double, which we are lead to believe is the same voice we’re talking to on the Codec the whole mission- we’re not supposed to question the twist. Our POV is Snakes POV after all.
But when it ends, and snake reports via codec… who is he reporting to?
He doesn’t mention the Body Double. He says “This is solid snake, operation N313 is a success. metal gear is destroyed. Everything is over.
Everything…”
Halfway through the mission Big Boss tells you that he’s switching frequencies- oddly enough, just as you get inside the second building of Outer Heaven.
What if the bait and switch was at the moment, from one point to the next you’re talking to Naked Snake then you’re talking to Venom Snake… and there’s another part where the Codec Signal starts getting Jammed- and Snake has to get a Transciever and then after that point “Big Boss” starts to tell Snake to go the wrong way, and return to base, and turn off the console…
So it’s wierd, like there could be a third switch… so when the body double in the final fight says about fooling the world we don’t know what cup the ball is under.
Fooling the world into thinking that Metal Gear was destroyed?
Fooling the world into thinking Big Boss was a traitor?
Fool the world into thinking the real big boss was dead so that Zanzibar Land could be completed and Schneider and Grey Fox weren’t double agents for ZL…
There’s so many things that could be fooling the world as Snake reports back a fake mission report to the UN.
But Snake doesn’t mention big boss’s reveal… you don’t think that would be important?
Maybe he was like “hm no that’s Sus, you don’t seem like Big Boss. Something’s not right… I’m not saying anything til I know for sure!”

Excellent breakdown thanks vector
I got a good chuckle out of “Hey man it’s me, or you right haha”
This is an amazing video
i love any content decriminalizing my favorite video game character of all time and backing it up with actual facts.

Subbed
The best is yet to come!
This is a great video, I really appreciate your view on the MGS universe
Thanks!
I was wondering where you were champion. Got some catching up to do on your channel but I'm hype
Love your work bro
This is the most fun I’ve had speculating about MGS since that first teaser from Moby Dick
The real question is, why does he shoot right-handed after losing his right eye?
Nanomachines! Prolly...
Try brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand, watch what happens.
@@AfterlifeGames When it comes to shooting, the hands follow the eyes. Others might claim otherwise (they're wrong, btw), but it's easier to retrain the hands than the eyes. A left-eye dominant shooter will have a much easier time shooting left-handed even if they're right-handed. Also, cross-dominance is relatively common. Also too, we can assume Big Boss's bionic left hand has enough articulation to be on par with Luke Skywalker's.
Seriously, though, I quit watching 'The Walking Dead' because they had two or more characters lose their right eyes, yet they continued to shoot right-handed. It really insulting to the audience's intelligence and shouldn't be given a pass.
@@judsongaiden9878 For long guns, maybe. For pistols, it's a non-issue.
@@AfterlifeGames Like how Robert DeNiro in Taxi Driver aims right-handed but with his left eye. It's more intuitive to just match yer hands to yer eyes so you don't confuddle yer brain (or yer bod). Ambidexterity is tactically advantageous-go-nuts.
Just binged all ur metal gear vids, pleeeeaaase make more these are so amazing bro

@@AfterlifeGames yeah bro. Take my money you underrated genius guy you. Great vids man
To me the end credits conversation with Miller and ocelot in mgs5 was very straightforward about laying out the Future conflict Between liquid and solid and the reasoning behind it
Now that's more like it! Glad to have you back, Abyss!
I was about to reference code gias. Nice.
well for me , isnt that way, all the path big boss pass was to present the world with Kaz most precious thing and for that , he need to make somewhere safe of the world , the mother base. so venom snake can protect kaz, while he makes the burgers , the most precious thing in the plot as you can see in the tapes of kaz hambugers , everything makes sense , the first mission is givin by kaz as ocelot sayid (even being planned before) and kaz is who can make the burgers so.. we rescue him, and continue to expand mother base in order to not just protect Kaz work with burgers but ALSO get rid of the enemys who want the recipe from Kaz burgers. thats why Kaz is always worried, thats why morale falls sometimes, and thats the plot
its all bob's sponge but military if you stop to think about it. krustycrab's in the middle of the ocean, just like the mother base, but above it of course. Kaz being Mr.crab who has the Secret Recipe to make the burgars just like that. and the XOF being the plancton , who always want the recipe.
14:16. Idk, didn't Big Boss finally realize that the Boss' will was to "let the world be?" What you described sounds like Zero's interpretation of the Boss' will. Big Boss' original interpretation was more about making sure that a country's military was respected and not thrown away the way the Boss was.
12:46 C-CRAB.....BATTLE...
😅
Yo dude I accidentally commented beacause yogurt dropped on my phone really sorry about that
Ah it broke my knife!
Wait bro but I thought outer haven was big boss training snake for the actual treat for the world Venom snake on The old MG 2
I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying.
@@AfterlifeGames think they're saying that originally outer heaven was made by big boss to train solid snake to defeat venom snake on metal gear 2
Interesting theory
@@slicvic00 I thought Solid Snake kills Venom Snake in MG1 and that’s why Big Boss shows up in MG2?
@@davenotstaine5646 yeah you're right i got a little mixed up. Big boss setup n313 to give false information to the govt and didn't expect snake to get so far. Then venom is killed which is how he returns in mg2
Or have you thought that big boss knew that liquid had the stronger genes and soild had the recessive genes that's why he sent David and recuted him and not Eli
