The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride - Deleted Scene 1 (with subtitles)

- Around June of this year, someone on Archive.org published a ''beta'' version of The Lion King sequel, which contained a bunch of deleted scenes, as well as others that were re-worked rather than entirely scrapped. After watching it for myself, I've decided to sit down and crop these parts separatedly, as well as add subtitles for those whose main language isn't English or cannot listen to the video at the moment.
Here we see a scene that never made it to the final product, right after Kiara's presentation but before she is presented to us as a cub rather than a baby. We get to see more of the Outlanders, which means more on-screen time for Vitani and Nuka as well as cub Kovu and Zira. I love how this scene showcases how innocent and harmless Kovu used to be before being brainwashed by his mother...
I know other channels have probably uploaded these scenes already, but I'm doing this just for fun. Also, I'm aware that part of this deleted scene has been up on CZcams for years now, but it was in way worse quality and it cut off right after Nuka was like ''oh yeah I can do that''.

Notice how she calls her own children her ‘pets’. Really shows how little she cares for them and is solely focused on what Scar wanted

I love so much the moment when Zira said "your kingdom" with the instrumental behind and showing the Priderock. This how she looks the Pridelands. Her home. Sounds like she miss being here.
I think we should petition Disney to make an extended edition of the Lion King 2 with these deleted scenes in them.
This is one the best deleted scenes I’ve seen. It is the perfect way to introduce Zira, Kovu, Nuka and Vitani. Not to mention that score is a good callback to the first film
Why was this deleted? 😩 It's a great scene.
Doesn't Zira, realize it was the Hyenas who killed Scar? In fact Simba gave him the chance to live and leave.
Zira didn't know Scar trying at force Nala at become his Queen.
Zira’s voice is so soothing…
I thought Scar's dying wish was "Don't eat me, hyenas".
This intro explains everything... The beginnig of the story is more clear. We know what characters we can expect. This is a perfect image of a relationship between Nuka and Zira. So Nuka wasn't a fool. He wanted to be someone important, but only for his mother. I can't imagine how desperate he really was. He was treated like... A rubbish. On the other side, Zira hadn't noticed him all his life. That shows how harsh, psychopatic and power-hungry she was. Even in this scene we have a proof of her character traits.

Why was this deleted? It gives so much lore the movie needed. I think keeping this scene would have made the movie a whole lot better than it already is.
That ending... It's just majestic, gives me chills every time
As great as it is to see more interaction between Zira and her kids, and another between Rafiki and Mufasa, I think I can see why they changed things:
This really proves that Kopa was real, as Vitani says Simba’s NEW cub.
My fanon: Zira was pregnant with twins (Vitani and Kovu) right before Simba came back and killed Scar, but the father was a different lion. Zira had two mates in her lifetime, both rogue males (she had Nuka by her first mate) and became obsessed with Scar during his reign as king given her power fetish. Scar was obsessed with Nala though, and was ambivalent to Zira’s affections. Kovu was born shortly after he’d banished Nala for rejecting him/insubordination, and partly out of despair for having lost the lioness he intended to mate with, he flippantly remarked that Kovu should be heir to the throne when Zira excitedly pointed out the coincidental resemblance. Zira of course took this seriously, leading to the events of the second film.
They should’ve kept the scene of Kovu being a sweetheart to the bug
