He had his jerry-rigged system, a mobile phone plus a digital camera, in the delivery room and was able to capture little Sophie held in his arms. That photo was emailed to friends and family who marveled at both the baby and the feat. I love how the first photo was of a newborn. So pure and symbolic.
I love how it was both him and his wife collaborating and they produced two babies: an actual baby and the phone camera.
So that baby is 20 right now. Interesting. Your coming into this world made somehow a difference.
That was my 16tg birthday.

It's amazing to see how something we now consider indispensable was created so....organically.
Had he come up with the idea 9 months earlier when the baby was conceived one could say his creation was.... orgasmic!

For a mundane topic, this video was really well done! It's pretty fascinating to see how he mentions "97 emails already." Kind of like: "Wow, 97 likes already!" His invention really did lead to the social media we know today.

This is frickin nuts
so he took a picture with a normal camera saved it on lap top emailed it to people, why did this start the camera phone?
how much of a hurry you were to say this?? no he did not SAVE it on a laptop, the laptop worked as terminal between the phones network and the Photo data sent over to the laptop by the camera, there was no wifi, the camera took the picture send it to the laptop, the laptop was connected to a network through the mobile phone which again was communicating with pc at home acing as the back end. and hence he was able to instantly send a photo through email without wifi internet, He effectly was mobile when he took the photo.

In UP (Uttar Pradesh, India) someone crushed 8 farmers protesting against government for their new laws (which are profitable for richest people in the country and not the farmers in long run) for farmers with his Thar SUV.
And all the media trying to save this guy because it he is the sun of member of parliament of ruling party in this country and in that state.
Someone recorded the video and it circulated around the internet.
I thought about (Phone with Cameras) it.
Phones with camera helped the helpless people in front of powerful people just because they recorded the videos of such incidents and got the evidence.

Like if +National Geographic should do an underwater version of the "A camera filmed a tree for a year - this is what it saw" in multiple locations, e.g, coral reef, deep blue, & oceanic floor!

It was going so good till the end and I was all like oh nooooooo
And here I Am complaining about my iphone only having 12 megapixel Hdr Photos and only shoots 4k 60fps.
This video made me feel blessed on what I have now and thankful for this guy’s invention.
The image sensor is good that's why 4K 60fps possible. If you're worried about 4K 60fps what is the point about that ?😅

This is how society evolve through an idea.
the typical smartphone design is what I would call a " HandSlab" which post dates, the flip, slider & clamshell phones, now we get "HandSlabs" that fold in half, which seems to me, a bit gimmicky because of easy wear & tear & you can see the stress mark line in the middle of the screen, never liked them so I won't be buying one. don't forget about Nintendo with its Gameboy Camera. in Japan, it was originally conceived for the Gameboy to be connected to a laptop or PC with also a phone connected to it so in essence, you could video call via a laptop using the Gameboy & it's camera for a video streaming device, but the company was t happy because it ended up being a blocky screen with messy pixels. the idea was there, but the technology wasn't.
