Got the truck new last year and always like to see how to change a tire as it’s somewhat different from vehicle to vehicle . Great vid, now I won’t sweat it if it happens to me 😉
I was interested in particular about the lowering of the spare wheel, A Mazda ute that I had years ago required turning the winder clockwise slightly to release the tension on the ratchet, then pushing the handle in to disengage the Pawl on the ratchet and then turning the winder in an anticlockwise direction to lower the wheel, Your example says you just wind it in an anticlockwise direction.
Dear friend, how can I put the jack on a 2008 Ford Ranger to change the front tire? I try to place the jack on the strong chassis structure, but my Ranger's own jack has too little travel to release the front tire. It's strange... (the jack on my Ranger is almost the same as the jack you show on that 2003 Ranger)
Changing the rear tyre is not that easy in real life. I had 2 rear tyre punctures and on both times I had to call the emergency assist. Turning the jack with the extensions given are a real nightmare. There is just insufficient torque which can be generated by your arms when the jack is so far in.
Yep my Mitsubishi 2014 mn triton had a bottle jack behind the back seat from the factory the ranger one seems like it won't stay steady and will break especially if your off-roading will be getting a bottle jack instead dont want to be stuck somewhere waiting for a guy to change it because the jack was useless
Throwing the flat tyre in the bed is extremely dangerous?? Because if you hit a bump it could come flying through the window?? Ummm would that not then apply to literally anything and everything you load in the bed? Lol So basically load nothing in the bed....
My God DO NOT STAND ON THE WHEEL WRENCH TO TIGHTEN IT!!!!! Most wheel nuts are only tightened to around 100nm which is only hand tight for an average bloke and make sure the threads are dry or you'll stretch and shear them. Just hand tighten them and go straight to a tyre shop and have them torqued 👍
This video was very useful for the 2 different times I had to change my tire due to nails making my tire flat
Seriously i have watch to many videos but the way this guy he explains everything awesome

So well produced. Amazing. Thanks, Ford.
This helped me out a lot as my dad's ranger had a flat Tyre had no idea on how to release the spare wheel until I came to this video
I never knew my truck had its own tools tucked away. Should have read the manual lol
Well thats work for my mazda bt 50 thank you a lot!
Nice vídeo. Thanks very much!
Perfect presentation, explained very well thank you.
Nice info very well explained!
Simple is the best. Congrats
Make sure it's in park and also set the emergency brake as well

Very informative video👌
Wow. Thanks! I needed this, the manual was not helpful enough.
That's nice!! But you forgot the nut tightening sequence, up down left right. 😃
this is a 5 lug wheel, so it’s a star pattern.
Thank you so much I have learned a lot Godbless u.
Thank you. I learned a lot 👍
I cant imagine how big that bump must be to have the whole wheel fly out the back
9
Thank you for that helpful video
Thank you, good info
I would just throw the tyre in the back, most utes have covers that would stop it bouncing out (lol).
Lol, even without a cover it will be fine, if you cant load a tire in the back, you cant really load anything in the bed.....
Problem is with the spare wheels chain If wound back up without the weight of a wheel attached try getting the chain to lower again 🥵..🤬
can you fit a 285/60/R18 on the ford ranger's spare tire area ?
I do have the limited plus version
What’s the 2 rods he’s using to undo the tyre from under the Ute
Thanks mate
Thank you for the video
Well explained
Great.

Good vid. But doesnt cover how to reset and sync tire monitor settings
I wanted to know how to unlock it, had my truck four years, never been able to unlock the spare wheel
how about the sensors?
How bout 2017 xlt. Where is the tools
The lug nut always lose, because it just a cover not a full nut
ok merci
Thanks for the visual.. The owner's manual directions were not easy to follow.
How to put the lock under the car

I am throwing that flat tyre in the back.
See
Seems easy to steal the tire.
Yes but a key is required to open the slot to remove the tire. So keep it locked.
This is a lie malaysia
