My elementary science teacher Mr. Eichenberger actually sung with the Tuskegee Institute Choir. One day he brought the album up to school so we could hear it. I'll never forget that day! One summer there was a knock at our door and it was Mr Eichenberger. He remembered how me I loved the songs, and he got me a copy of the original Tuskegee Institute Choir album that he sung on. I am in my 60's now, but I still remember that he did that for me and I cherish that album so much, because he went the extra mile to share history with a student. He actually did the solo too. He passed away, but he's always in my heart and he always will be one of my favorite elementary teachers.
