Sad to see the property go Shad! I remember that background music at 4:13 its from an adult movie called "Lady Luck" I had back in the day.

Totally understand. So many great places to see and enjoy here in the states. Having a place requires so much time and energy not to mention like you said you feel that you need to use it because you own it. For some it’s a nice thing to have, but I’m in the boat of I enjoy a smaller home with low upkeep and that lets me put more time into what I love travel and bikes.

I have property, but we built on it. I've watched many people buy a piece of land, but they never live on it and it almost always becomes a burden for them. Anytime someone visits and they start thinking they want land, I explain they really are going to either have to fully commit or they will end up selling in a few years.
There is a 50 acre place next to me that the first owner built a small cabin on for those "getaways." He used it every weekend for the first few months and then slowly started coming less and less often. He sold it and the current owner has done the same thing in the two years he's owned it. Based on the fact he seems to have pulled his generator on other equipment off the cabin, I expect to see it on the market soon.

I also think people have different personalities. I sometimes don't realize that I really don't want to settle in somewhere, I want to go places and see many things. Some people like to settle, others like to roam. I am realizing I prefer roaming and I have to learn this and stop trying to settle in somewhere.

Glad the sale of Cuyuna property will free you up to hit more trails and nothing is preventing you from including it in futurer trail visits.

Sometimes a property/house can be a milestone around your neck. Totally understand your motivation to sell and explore more.
