Most fans agree. She was on everyone's minds the rest of the series. The other actress was just ok. The Original Aunt Viv was the Best. She did 3yrs and the other actress did 3yrs. So she deserved to be part of the Reunion. I hope she's allowed to say and do more next Reunion Show.

Good Morning. Miss Tamron Hall your comment about Janet Hubert was very disrespectful, immature and unprofessional. You could have just asked how did it feel for the cast to reunite with her and kept it moving instead of describing her as the aunt and relative that you hate and don't invite to dinner. Janet Hubert is an original and she made the character a household name. Sisters shouldn't be throwing shade at each other.

I agree 1000% because Janet did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG EXCEPT STAND UP FOR HERSELF AS A BLACK ACTRESS IN HOLLYWOOD. We all know Hollywood is a touch business for Black Actors but even more difficult for Black women. She had no support because of the lack of compassion from those she worked with. Karma is real though!!
The so called execs have many times played that “I’ll put so & so against so & so”, and sometimes the actors just don’t know. As popular as The Fresh Prince was, if Will and Janet had just had a conversation about her needs while pregnant, difficulties at home, in addition to the disrespect regarding her contract, she & Will could have gone to the higher ups as a United front to make everything better for her. She deserved that. Them telling her that “Will said...” and him being told that “She is a problem and...” is just TERRIBLE and as usual those w their hand on the money we’re thinking of themselves. We must be smarter as people to stand together. The Friends cast did it and let’s face it that whole situation was stolen from Living Single, another was VERY popular show, but that cast did not make even close to what Friends made.....they deserved better too. Black and white... Hollywood ignorance... they even want to portray Black historical characters at times with white actors!! WHAT?!?! Come on now...Gee Wiz. We, the viewers are more intelligent than u think.

The show was STACKED with talent. Will Smith - global superstar. Alfonso Ribiero, Janet, James Avery, Joseph (Jeffrey) - Top broadway level singing, dancing, acting. Jazz - top 5 DJ of all time.
Tamron was wrong for referring to Aunt Viv as that one relative you skip seeing her. If tamron would have seen the reunion show will and Aunt Viv resolved there issues and forgave each other. Stop trying to continue to make Janet look like something is wrong with her. Shame on you tamron. 🤔

Even countess vaughn said will was threatened by her audition on the show. He wad young. And she was the elder and her not being for cracking jokes or doing practical jokes wasnot her style.

I remember Alfonso from dancing with Michael Jackson on that Pepsi commercial. Also a Teacher in New York claimed he died in a Break Dancing routine. She apologized but said so many kids wanted to be like Alfonsi break dancing. Always liked him.

It was ugly and unnecessary! I absolutely hate that she did that bc it’s very unbecoming. Especially since she has first hand experience with being “let go” from a television show in a way that left her wanting to be heard. We have enough people tearing black women down. Interesting place to end video. I'd thought Tamron being a person of color would have been more strategic with her words. But sometimes you are your own best enemy.
Tamron, although looking adorable, was a little sloppy on comparing the wonderful and talented Janet Hubert to the relative that you want to skip seeing at Christmas. I would have sought out my Aunt Viv if she were Janet Hubert because we need someone like her who is poised, powerful, and beautiful even if she tells us things we may not want to hear, but need to hear. I am glad that she was part of the reunion and got to meet the wonderful Daphne Reid who stepped in to be Aunt Viv. People have to appreciate how difficult it is to come in the second actress for a character, especially with such different styles. May God bless both "Aunt Vivs", they both brought a lot of love and laughs into our homes. As did the entire cast. Bless them all. James Avery had to be looking down pleased to see his on screen family back together.
Tamron characterizing Janet as the unwanted relative wasn't really cool at all. It didn't fit her and further perpetuated the shade she's received over the years. That was so ugly Tamron.

We know now that she was having marital problems and ended up getting blackballed from Hollywood, despite her talent as an actress, singer, and dancer. I guess she offended people on the show by being unfriendly, but the other cast members should have refrained from trashing her in the media. They should have just said that she left the show due to personal reasons and we wish her the best, and left it there.

With Tamron, it appears that she's trying to climb the ladder of success. In the process she is leaning towards some of the shock & drama vibes much like Iyannla, Oprah, and Gayle King do. I really hate that style of interviewing is attached to these otherwise successful black females on TV. Also, I've watched a few of her shows interviews and the editing is so choppy; it's hard to watch.
One of the most underrated artists in the business is Jazzy Jeff. Return of the Magnificent album is a masterpiece

Both Aunt Vivs did an excellent job in the role. Sure, they were different. But why do we have to put one down to exalt another? If it had been the other way around and the 2nd Aunt Viv was first, you guys would still prefer the first one because some people just don’t do well with change.

The original aunt viv was perfect but the background was bad during those episodes, she portrayed a perfect counterpart as a hard working wife
The second aunt viv was more complimentary to Uncle Phil's character, more submissive and caring, more of a housewife....plus they made the major improvement when they changed the background making the show more spacious and gave the show a better feel

Janet addressed this. She came later in the taping; Alfonso had a different gig so wasn’t still there when Janet got there. She said that there’s no bad blood between them.
I lived for that show. Remember when Unc.Phil. would throw Jazz out of the house, which was practically everyday. Hillary's confidence in her stupidity, Carlton's jealousy of Will, Will's inciting antics, the butler's struggle to maintain his dignity despite everything Will did..........Gosh, those were the days.

Janet was not a victim the venom that she spewed for 27 years reinforced the narrative that she was difficult, it was not classy, professional or did not leave room for any one to apologize or for healing to take place.
Hurt people, hurt people and when those who you thought would have your back leave you, it is not easy. Many people/executives try and divide and conquer, it is not a new story in Hollywood and it is especially done to black talent. While her behavior maybe wrong, neither was Will and Alfonso, both could have kept their mouth shut or give showbiz answer like other actors on other shows

Mmhmm, I see they cut off the really distasteful words that finished out Tamron's thoughts on Janet Hubert. After all the healing and closure that the reunion brought the cast, for Tamron to go resurrect the narrative of Janet being problematic, suggest there was beef between the cast and Janet when it was really with Will, and throw dirt on Janet's hard-won, restored name was shameful and SO tacky. I truly hope they find someone better to host these shows. This is not the first, second or even third time Tamron has made a very off-color remark on air.
