To be honest Kathy's anger at Cindy in this scene seems more about what she did to Ian in the past, rather than faking her death.
Kathy was hilarious when she learned that Cindy and Ian have been living together again in France; "Oh, I can just imagine how that went! 'Sorry I tried to have you killed love, but now that I'm on my uppers, I need you again. Oops, there go my knickers!'"

Kat, Denise nor Kim know Cindy they have never met her. She "died" off screen years 2 before the Slaters arrived and Foxes didnt start arriving till 2006.

Sire the revelation of Rose Knight is interesting but she needs to be reestablished as Cindy first, with the characters we have known for years showing the scale of her being alive before that kicks in as well!!
Because I would have had my own duff-duff if they did that! Everyone hates when it ends 😂😂 a whole 24 hours til the next one…
@joey-xq3ei I'm perfectly happy waiting the day between episodes, I just wish they were at least pretending to tell the story that was promised.
The knights are interesting enough and sure the reappearance of Gina and Anna's mum is a big deal for them and anyone who cares about them. But they haven't been in the soap long enough for me to be one of those people yet.
As someone who is too young to remember Cindy in her previous stint, I also don't really have much connection to her yet either. That needs to be built back up by showing what her reappearance means fo characters I already know and have some understanding of how they view the world. People like Kathy, Phil, Sharon and others (even maybe Sonia and Martin).
Also one minute, Cindy is saying that there is a lot of history between her and Kathy. Then the next it's all resolved and they are working seemlessly together to sort out the birthday food.

The whole "characters coming back from the dead" is a story telling trope that I've never been fond of. I personally feel that if a show is going to kill someone off, then commit to it.
To have them come back, robs the initial impact of their death of any real meaning because it now no longer holds any weight.
American daytime soaps have infamously overused this plot device to the point where it's both predictable and laughable. The fact that British soaps are deploying the same tactic (with "Eastenders" doing it THREE times now) is a worrying trend......

Hey Eastenders I’ve got a believable storyline for you to bring Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman) back from the dead…
Ok we start with the premise that Dennis already knew about the threat of Johnny wanting to kill him, keeping it secret from Sharon and playing dumb to Phil.
Danny Moon confesses to Dennis that Johnny was ordering him to stab him, and Danny didn’t want to do it.
Fearful for his life incase someone else came to kill him, Dennis goes to the police and makes a deal with them, admitting to killing Jack Dalton.
The police satisfied, give Dennis protection to wear, and involve Danny Moon in the set up.
With the police unaware that Dennis beat up Johnny ( final retaliation before he leaves Walford ) Danny pretends to stab Dennis on New Year’s Eve when Johnny makes the call from his office, and Dennis fakes his death, in order to protect Sharon and the baby, and starts his long prison sentence away from London.
As we all know, Danny Moon got shot dead by Jake, and Johnny died in prison.
Nobody left to tell the story except for Dennis.

Don’t know about anyone else but this story line doesn’t interest me at all. Also Elaine and the Knights aren’t a great addition. More interested in who the body on the floor of the Vic is.
Cindy at least your son is from Gallifrey just a shame Lucy didn't have the same powers too Regenerate as your son did, Killing off Lucy was a another mistake from the writers and not for the first time or the last time either.
That's the problem when you recast a role. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It was revolutionary with Doctor Who cos The Doctor is an extra-terrestrial allowing any actor to take the role.
