Another tip is to queue up fighter attacks - example, one fighter wing vs. 2 torpedo bomber wings: you left click on the first bomber group, then shift-click on the 2nd group and it will automatically move to the next group once the first is destroyed.
Is there a minimal distance you can drop the torpedoes without whiffing them? I noticed when you drop them too close to the targets they just do not deal any damage at all.
One question about fighter control. I see that you can use your fighters to target multiple enemy planes (e.g. attack enemy squadron A, B and C in order) in some of your videos. So what is the key to do that? I tried the SHIFT + target, but it does not work.
I always just used the standard anvil attack with auto aim against destroyers. Gives me decent results but sometimes they still manage to get away unscathed. Haven't tried this variation but hopefully it will give even better results. Those pesky destroyers.
Great vid as always! What do you think about the t4-t5 japanese fighters? I understand how I'm supposed to engage enemy squads atop friendly warships with AA, but even then I lose a lot of planes. Not to mention that if the enemy US carrier plays the fighters defensively, I get taken out even while returning to rearm. Also, how will this come in play on T9?
ive noticed that many of the guides uses japanese carriers where you have move teams but with less planes. personally im playing US carrier and so far they only have 3 teams to send up. unless someone can tell me somesthing different, or do anyone have a guide here for us CV?

Pretty much everything here is pointless, except torpedoing destroyers. CV gameplay is focused mostly on strafing each other's fighters and then dropping onto DDs. Many of these techniques are still possible but they're not necessary.
Hi. I have seen both of your videos (the first one 3 times) but I have not yet learned how to order a dive bomber to attack an enemy vessel. I see all sorts of symbols but have clicked and button-pressed and drawn squares around targets and everything I know, but nothing has worked. The audio says - 'flight 2 awaiting orders" constantly. Very frustrating.

I am trying really hard to play this but its not been a fun ride... When its langley vs langley , each has 1 group of fighters, how do you win the fighters fight? the entire rest of the game depends on it. Is there anything i can do so my fighters beat his fighters? Or is it purely random? I put my fighters on his fighters as soon i see them.
I find using the fighter Manual strafe attack will get a few planes right off the rip without losing any planes of your own. the manual strafe is done just like all other manual attacks you hit alt and a zone will show up make sure enemy fighters are in that zone and your planes will basically kill everything in the path. it does take 1 unit of their ammo loadout but if played correctly can get at least 1 or 2 enemy fighters dead before they can lock in to a dogfight. also this tactic is devastating against bombers and torp planes.
As you seem like a level headed guy, I would like to ask a question about CVs. To me it seems like this class has the biggest force multiplier in that if you have a great CV-player versus a great player in any of the other classes, the side with the great CV-player clearly has the biggest advantage. This is something that irks me, but I have not played all classes to tier X so I don't really know if this is the case. However, your videos show what a tremendous impact the CV player has. Do you have any thoughts about this?
They would mostly "work," but they're not important. CVs don't hide on the map edges anymore, so the dodging part isn't useful nor is the dropping part useful.
how are you doing the things you are doing ? step by step for somebody that knows nothing about the game ? what do i click on to get the say torps planes to head out for an attack how do i cancel an attack ?

About Taiho's plane setting, choose 422 or 133? I tried 133 for 18battles, the first 15 battles I won and felt really nice... Then I found that the WG doesn't love me anymore... I was against Lexington and Essex... Then against 222 Shokaku and Taiho... And then against Taiho and Essex.... As using 133, I can do huge damage... But without air control, I can only do 15 torpedo hits after I lose all torpedo planes.... And as using 422, I can imagine this setting is like 222 in Hiryu, I can control the air, I can do anything I want, but less damage, less earning, better winning rate. Which you prefer? I hate the feeling that their planes control the air....

They always get plenty of fighters.... And waste time to fly around the map. But in other way, if you don't attack CV and fly around, BB always gets CA company... And the low ammo of higher fighters, you can't control the air actually and lose the possibility to attack. 3-2-2 is a setting good for team AA and sacrifice yourself's output attack. If the team does well, we can win easily. but the fact is that team needs the CV to attack... Then I trust myself's skill more than team's... Even though, I am alone fight with both Lexington and Essex... I have to accept the losing... You can't always win right? :)

That’s also true. Their firepower has been decreased significantly and their role in a battle but the new plane control interface is really nice. They are more of a support and kill finish class rather than something that can really pack a punch.
alriiiight so that's fucking why there are suddenly squadron of TB out of nowhere appeared and sometimes enemy bombers number are mismatched. Jesus anticipating this would be difficult but I guess if in 1 minute mark there's no bombers spotted I'd better recall my fighters just in case they are doing this. Thanks for this I guess
i always read that ijn cvs are stronger than usn, but my japanese fighters always get annihilated by american ones, for example bogue has more fighters than my zuiho and when you lose fighters or know you can't match enemy's fighters, your bombers are quite useless, specially when enemy has more fighter squadrons per cv
I'm iffy on this ... sorta an interesting video... but its teaching to use massive exploits (Flying outside the map) and Edging the map.... I have to say though the "How to torp a destroyer" is awesome
Good vid however hugging map edges is not what you as a CV should be doing, the further you are away the longer it takes for your planes to take off and reach destination and get back meaning your less useful than you could be, also, sticking closer to teammates but not close means you have more AA cover theres plenty of ways to stay hidden that isnt sitting in a map corner
What sucks is that now wargaming will change it so that aircraft cannot enable outside of the map circle, the same way auto aiming over and island flips the direction

+Al P Playing as carrier is fulltime job, its the hardest gameplay in my opinion of it because u have to watch your ship,map,planes and angle of their attack and of course movement of enemy ship.
+Al P cruisers are easy as fuck. they dont have to be afraid of destroyers or aircraft carriers battleships are burned down by them, only problem are other cruisers
Actually CV's are useless, especially japanese because for some reason my fighters and planes always die to enemy cv's fighters and i literally can't do anything about it. Almost as if my tier 6 cv is fighting against tier 10 cv.....my fighters always die in 20 seconds or less and enemy doesn't even lose 1 plane....not to mention that american has 7 or 8 planes in squadron and japanese has 4 so....yeah "balance".....

Don't encourage people to use terrible shit like this. The deva have stated it's cheating what sort of mentality do you have that says " they say it's cheating but they haven't fixed it yet so it's not cheating." I despair of kiddies sometimes...

How do you torp a destroyer that is spinning in a circle? it becomes really hard for me to predict
