Our church in Jacksonville, Florida, is currently learning this song for the 1st time, and I came on CZcams to learn it better, since it is a more challenging melody. I LOVE your version... it's so clean & easy to understand, and then when the harmony came in... so beautiful! Thank you!
I have some doctrinal issues with the third and fifth verses, but this is still one of my all-time favorite Passion hymns. I just got through listening to it on Good Friday before making this comment.
“Then crucify they cry” I could never sing this without crying, that verse wrenched my heart. I haven’t heard this beautiful hymn for many years. Thank you, beautifully sung, so reverent. Bless you.
