Me last night thinking this will be a good night time video and put it on loop. Heard the BOOM and was like "if this only happens a few times with big enough gap that i can forget about it for a bit, I'm not moving" took me 3-5 loops to fall asleep. Pretty sure it was the boom that kept me awake but did not feel like finding a new vid then and fall asleep maybe 20-30 mins after pressing some video.

Super hero: mostly private security but I also volunteer with a lot of search and rescue operations.
This can go one of two ways: either soul-crushing angst or rom-com shenanigans.

Okay, I'm loving this concept already! Like, the idea of a hero and a villain getting to know each other outside of their superpersonas, and even developing some kind of bond would be so flipping fun! Makes we wonder though; if they put out about who each of them really were, would Mechanus end up eventually using his inventions for the better, turn Ultima to the dark side, or would they both just keep up some kind of act for the citizens while coming home to each other in their personal lives (for one reason or another)?
All in all, lovely job as always, Pebbles! I'm excited to find out what else you might have in store (whether it's related to this series or any other ideas entirely).

*assuming* you are open to possible Over-Eager Wonderings Of What's To Maybe Come (and not at all expectations or entitlements or demands-- im no villain (ba da tish)):
*since Ultima's powers are flight and strength, i wonder if healing is somewhat impacted (so they dont break their knuckles hitting a wall) but still Pretty Average all things considered? the idea of the Speaker seeing the Listener with a bruise or black-eye THEY caused and freaking out about it-- only for the Listener to (kinda) lie and say they were collateral damage from a Mechanis attack (idk, maybe getting hit by debris or a frightened mob), idk my heart hurts for the slow realization of "Oh. I'M the problem" kinda shame and self-reflection being mixed with that innate desire to protect those you love lmao rip im basic, sue me
*the Speaker as Mechanis specifically trying to find the Listener and show-off or figure out How To Appeal Mechanis To The Listener by attaching themselves to supporting causes the Listener cares about, although in a morally gray way. bonus is the Speaker as Mechanis sees the Listener in their civies, loses track of then, sees Ultima, and is just like "Shut UP, I am trying to find someone" bc now Civillian!Listener is nowhere to be found now that Ultima is here lmao rip to the Speaker my guy
*im such a softie for "Speaker rambling while Listener is genuinely asleep" and the idea of this Speaker specifically talking to the Listener about Things He Doesn't Feel Comfortable Talking To The Listener About While They're Conscious including either explicitly or "implied just in case theyre faking" villainy-- idk, it gives me Villain Monologue made Soft and id melt
*the Speaker being frustrated the Listener like Ultima, and bonus if theyre a little bit petty or jealous about it when its just him and Ultima and he's just like "WHAT DO THEY EVEN SEE IN YOU"--- until That Thing happens when a loved one enjoys something and you start to enjoy it too BECAUSE it reminds you of that loved one? i dunno, ive had friends go from "oh i hate X" to actually finding their own reasons to like X over time because they found out i liked it and i, accidentally, slowly rubbed off on them and they liked seeing me happy whoopsies
*i fucking love Freudian Slip "the audience knows what the characters dont" kinda moments; the "I'll be bad" was so good. i wonder how else youll incorporate it, beyond the obvious "Hey, don't look at me, I'm not the bad guy here!" hanging over our heads. maybe hell jokingly call the Listener a "goody two-shoes" or by the pet-name "Angel" or groan in jest that the Listener is an (annoyingly) "good influence" on them?? idk, but im eager to see more!! lmao
*sometimes i just remember Kingpin exists and my "bad guy loves a good person" trope loving heart goes pitter-patter in the self-destruction of it all. if the villain reluctantly becomes good while retaining that moral gray heart bc of their love, great; if the hero becomes bad and gets corrupted by persuasian and disilluionment bc of their love, great; if the villain ends up self-destructing their own dreams with their love because of their villainy, great. i love every route, (and, yes, mayhaps, i read Mafia Romance, what of it) and am being totally honest in saying i am SO EAGER to see how you proceed with this, no matter the angle or outcome!!
(also, as a Media Rec, if you like Morally Gray/Villainous mcs, the interactive fiction game series for "Fallen Hero" might be up your alley! its about an ex-vigilante becoming a villain after they died, and shit getting messy when the heroes they used to work with recognize their civillian form on the street after, y'know, distinctly having held a funeral for the said mc. it's a pure text-based game of choices; no visuals. it has a shit ton of customization and even a couple of poly routes if youre into that! (because of course there is also romance in addition to everything else going on lmao) the first game is mostly set-up but the second one is wickedly wild, and the creator i think has a patreon if youre into sneak peeks?? i havent gotten THAT attached bc im broke, but its an option if you end up into the series!!)
