(This is a small rant/theory/thoughts about the story so far because i was thinking about what Mechanus said,the implications about the SuperHero Academy etc and i was like.Wait a ducking minute why he gets angry at us!?)
You know whats even more sad?
That we had to lie.Cause he said from the first date"I dont like Ultima".Imagine trying to have a normal life and a guy you like tho not liking your other intedity,like what can you do be like "Oh yeah i am Ultima i lied to you because i wanted to make this work"(?)

I get it we had to be honest but come on! If he knows how being a superhero is then he should realise that maybe some heros pretend their personality while in costume.
Cause here is the thing.If i was a organisation creating super heros.I would constantly teach the heros that they are not only inhuman but that they should act inhuman.Arrogant,as if they are invincible etc cause how else would people trust superheros if even the superheros showed fear? They wouldnt,they would question how reliable are the heros and there would be a ton of problems.
So yeah i imagine that is no wonder that we would have developed different personalities based on our intentities when on or off of costume.
Also can i say for a moment that his idea of...."oh superheros use only muscle and no brains or words" is a bit childish? Cause imagine having a villain threaten your home. You arent gonna just go up to them and be like "uhm excuse me can you stop?" Like they wont stop.They had all the time in the world to decide to become villains. You cant just risk yours or other peoples lives in hopes that the villains will be civil.
And tbh....if Mechanus greatest creation so far wasnt able to even injure us....this means that so far when we fought him we were most probably holding back...and why would we hold back? Cause we most probably would have killed the guy if our strength is that strong. So if thats the case then the statement that Ultima solves things only with violence is untrue cause we could have just killed him or injure him way too bad and sadly no one would care cause he is a "villain"
So Mechanus do better i guess XD Also you are lying too! So why you got so mad?! XD Although the system is corrup ngl it sounds way too screwed up if they take the kids even when they are infants

Oh hell yeah! I feared this series was abandoned, so glad that I was wrong! I’m so happy we got another part because I’m So Invested in this plot now. I have to wonder though if we’re a unregistered vigilante hero or if we just lied to his face. Both options seem good drama. I can’t wait for more.
Oh and we finally got the kiss!! I’m so happy!!! Because we got kiss-blocked in part 2, I’ve been so frustrated about it looooool

I'm excited to see what will become of these two, and how they'll finally reveal their identities to each other. Especially with the cliffhanger ending where it seems the villain accidentally created a sentient, evil AI.

This series I love it, but I’m worried. This is either going to end very angst where someone dies or there’s secrets within the crack of the hero organization, they team up, bing bang boom, defeat the REAL villain, happy ending.

I feel like Ultima’s experience with the hero association might fall more along the lines of the trope of “if I cannot be wanted, let me be needed, and if I cannot be needed then let me be used until there’s nothing left”. Feels like they might be there because they have nowhere else to go, and nobody else to turn to- which makes their relationship with the villain here more complicated because for the first time they have someone who doesn’t want to use them as a weapon for their powers and such

Then yes. Both would be justified by their points of view, imagine if Ultima arrives at the hero academy after leaving a dysfunctional home and that gives her another point of view on the association.
Because separating children from families that love and care for them as they should is unfair and there Mechanis is right.
But separating children from families who can't/don't want to provide the necessary care or if the family is simply too chaotic for the child, that would be fair and MAYBE that's something Ultima might have thought about at some point. before realizing that the association uses the heroes and children as weapons.
But what is most important and what I think Mechanis and Ultima can agree on is that kids have to be kids. And people with power don't have to be forced to be heroes.

@spruces6225 If Ultima was taken as a child, she would probably have been manipulated. Whether Ultima was manipulated or not and she wanted to get out of there, that's another thing and I think that's already unknown territory, but it's a good question. And I think we would have to know more about the listener to answer it. Because the thing is that I don't know if she wanted to leave because she is still a heroine and so the questions are: Is she still in the association or is she somehow independent and that is why she has a sign as Batman? She is still in the association and she wants to change the methods? Could she realize that she is dating Mechanis??
(I have few theories and many questions lol)

Oh my gosh, this audio was so good! I almost started to tear up partway through (especially about Jason and Michael, iykyk). And then at the end, I felt like a dagger was being shoved up into my diaphragm after entering through my stomach and slicing through my intestines. (A little dramatic, I know, but the pangs of guilt will do that to you 🫠)

Oooooh this was fantastic and angsty! The confrontation and his tragic backstory WITH heavy world building was so well done! His motivations are so clear and I love it! I'm definitely agreeing with some other commenters on the theory that Ultima is an unregistered superhero who MADE the choice instead of being forced into it. Only time will tell! Either way it's gonna be hella angsty when both of their alter egos are revealed. Not to mention the AI uprising they're definitely gonna have to deal with from Zeta. Awesome as always Pebble!

Anyways I’ve seen people give their takes on what’s gonna happen soo uh idk why but I wanted to as well so uh- yeah.
Either 1.;
-we aren’t registered and us being a hero is illegal but we haven’t even gotten caught because we haven’t been injured so badly to point where we can’t escape the clutches of government officials or hero systems, but the villains war assault machine or S.E.T.A is gonna be the thing that can severely hurt us, so much so that we can’t get back up..meaning the government and hero systems we’ve been avoiding for all these years finally get us. And it’s the very same government officials that took away Jason and Micheal so, from the villains POV, it’s yet another person stripped away from him for them being inhuman.
Or 2;
-we aren’t registered meaning we are illegal and technical not meant to be a hero. But due to our identity being a secret government officials can’t catch us. Although now there is someone who knows our identity, S.E.T.A. The AI war assault machine the villain created. Which apparently has developed a mind of its own. And since the villain is to much in denial of his lover being his enemy and the hero, S.E.T.A begins to gather its own data on us, our identity, our address, our powers, etc etc, and once enough data is gathered up S.E.T.A sends all data to the very same government officials and hero systems that took away the villains brothers. Which then in fact causes us to finally get captured and dragged into the world of being forced to be a hero..not the choice of it. Which also means it’s another person the villain loves taken away from him.
Or 3;
- we are registered, and we’ve been through the exact same thing the two brothers have been through, years of training, not being able to see family, not have the freedom of a normal life or a life outside being a hero, being forced to be a hero,, etc etc. But! We’re older now meaning we’re out the academy, and fair still. Forced to be hero but we have more freedom. That means a shot at a normal life. So dating per-chance. But for the loves safety and identity reasons, it’s why don’t tell anyone we are a hero. But when our power are found? We panic and don’t want to say were registered due to all the trauma that comes with it. So we lie. But then once we hear of the villains brothers we want to tell the truth but we feels like we’ve dug a hole too deep..so we don’t bother. But eventually we’ll have to since S.E.T.A knows..and S.E.T.A will try and crush the truth out..one way or another. And once the truths out? Well god knows how the Villain react to our lies.
But those are just my takes-
And all jokes aside great video pebbles can’t wait to what ACTUALLY happens, despite knowing it’s gonna break my heart either way.. 😭😭
