  • In this video, Capt. Bill Saiff III explains the proper use of the Gibb/Delta Weight as he catches Northern Pike in the back bays of Eastern Lake Ontario. The BSO TEAM takes some great Pike using the "Weight Rod" technique and then Capt. B3 gives a "Spot On" demonstration on how to take the "Y" Bones out of your Northern Pike!!!!! This is a demonstration that many of our viewers have requested. This video has great action and superb fishing tips!

    These are nice pike, but I thouvht ontario ones would be much bigger. Would still love to catch them all day, but thats standard cranberry lake catch. Love the tips, will definitely try the method. Awesome filet tips. We only keep the injured ones, pike are so important to inland fisheries, we let them go, but have no problem with those that keep...

    Bill have you ever thought of starting a channel for the old episodes of Cabin Country? Zachary Trost did that with Michigan Outdoors. I bet alot of your viewers would like to see that.

    Great video! I have only ate northern pike once while on a fishing trip in Canada and it was delicious! Would it be feasible to grind up the strip of meat with the y bones in it for fish patties? Just curious.

      No. I tried it and the patties were bony as heck. You Can pickle the bone section. The bones turn to gel when pickled.

    What you guys really need to do is clean that fish cleaning station. It’s disgusting.
