Over a decade since I've seen this fight scene, and countless others. This is right up there with the best. Minimal cuts, music and dialogue. Incredible.

Only thing worse than getting your ass kicked in a sword fight is getting your ass kicked with a scabbard in a sword fight.
Loved how he used the scabbard both offensively and defensively.
He's literally using Kali moves, which focuses on simulteanous attack and defense.
He used the scabbard to control the otherskatana and cut off opponents hand. When your opponent throws away the same caliber of weapon before engaging, just call it and keep what's left of your dignity.

I understand this movie didn't do very well financially, it apparently didn't find its audience, very sad, to me it was very well done, fight scenes were awesome...loved it!

I like how the sounds of the custume are slicing the air and that there's no music during the fight, so many little cool moments in the acting of the white guy, amazing choreography, one of the best fighting duels ever made.

All things considered, McVeigh was a pretty cool guy here. Dude just wanted to see a good fight. When James ran out there with a sword, he ordered his minion to arm Bone equally.

Minion? That’s, “OHARRA!” a living homage to another legendary martial arts character…both played by Bob Wall, a very accomplished and beloved martial artist himself.
Check out Enter The Dragon…classic.
For me he was interested in Bone cause Bone won against his top fighter and he didn't want to see Bone get injured because he had plans for him. That's my point of view.

Price was the only guy who gave Bone somewhat of a challenge. But his arrogance made him too cocky.
Much like his jacket, he threw away his focus in the latter part of the match. After that, Bone simply feinted and countered all of his moves. But at least Bone let Price keep his title lol

Mike white in my opinion did not get the recognition that he deserved, ever fight scene in everyone of his movies is bad ass especially for a dude his size of 6’1 and muscular build to be strong and crisp AF with every move.

@intellygent-alienking5651 flexibility can be trained regardless of muscle mass up to a certain point. MJW's training is all based on explosiveness and range of motion over tension exercises which enable limber movements with strength.

I'm still trying to figure that out. I've seen this movie many times and I still have trouble figuring out even though Bone had Price on the ropes and almost destroyed him how come Bone tapped out even though he basically won?

I used to watch this a lot as a kid, but growing up, I realized James was just fucking insane.
Michael jai white is like a tank. The opponent delivers him some of his best punches and kicks but nothing happens to him. Michael's punches are like a heavy weight boxer. He landed some of his best punches to scott adkins in undisputed 2.

Snipes is also a very accomplished martial artist, and completely sold the character of Blade. No reason to mess with perfection.
