    Just wanted to thank you providing such informative videos. By using the information, and constant practice I've gone from a 40 average to around a 55-60 average and climbing. Thanks a lot Dave, and keep doing what you're doing!
    Also, I had the same problem with going through flights, then I tried nose cones, and now shouldered points and they worked great.

    Cracking video Dave as usual. I’ve actually only heard about the Clic system so this is the first time I’ve seen them, they do look like a fantastic setup especially for durability, I’ll be having a wee look into them. Not had a chance to throw yet as I’ve been extremely busy sorting myself out after being away. I’m catching up with videos on CZcams now so if you see random comments from up to 3 months ago you’ll know. Take it easy and stay safe 🎯👍🏻

    Very interesting video Dave
    I have a custom set of darts from Tony at Custom Made darts so had standard flights and shafts
    Have same problem with shafts splitting and flights damaged
    Will invest in some Clics

      When i used to use standard cheap flights n stems i would knacker a set of flights in 2 to 3 hours and bust one or two stems to. Harrows sent me few sets of Clic and i was hooked here is my very old review of them czcams.com/video/LUt81CjUHfY/video.htmlsi=SQQ7QwGTPgOn7DAa

    I only use the clic system after watching Dynamite Dave use them a year or so ago. I can't see myself switching back to normal flights any time soon! Great set up!

    Nice video Dave, thank you.
    Totally agree with the standard flights.. they don't last long. They lose their shape easily, they always pop out on me and I get Robbin hood's all the times. 3 times in one 3 leg match once! 3!!
    I do also believe that the base of the dart causes alot of the damage. I now use the Wunmau freeflo points with a moulded in nose cone.. or you can buy the plastic trident nose cones. They do help protect your flights in my opinion. 100%
    I used the Harrow clicks for a long time. Good few months and the stems lasted well the flights came loose fairly quickly - so they would rattle. Wasn't a big issue.. what I found though, as I improved... The flights would rip... From the bottom section. This happened regularly until if had enough. Also I wanted to.try different shapes, to.see what the difference was -as I'm.still fairly new to darts (2 years in now).
    Harrows only have the 1 shape. So I changed. I tried the Cosmo flights and they were more resistant to tearing, they were thicker so that's probably why. The shafts kept snapping at base of the flight though. And they're not cheap. So that ended that one.
    Then I tried the condors... They were ok lasted well but I found that the stems would lose their straightness only notice it when I was twizzing a dart by the point between my fingers. I felt it wobble as if off centre. When I looked at them all they were all the same, that put me off them and now I'm on the Robson Plus.. mix them.up with a spinning stem and you have, what I now class to be, the right set up. Super long lasting flights (£5 a set) stems that cost £1 and last just as long... I'm even thinking of getting some carbon spinners that will last even longer. Loads of flight shape options. Some patterned options. For me they are my current set up of choice. I'm just contemplating trying the slim standards.. slightly smaller than the normal standard flight. My darts are going in a bit too floppy as they get to the board the front of the dart drops and the dart stands up. Which I don't like and it puts me off. A fantale (similarl to a kite) goes in too fast and too flat. So I'm thinking the smaller standard may be the one.
    Sorry for waffling on. Just a very popular subject for me at the moment. Im not quite happy with the flight of my dart so I want to try different shapes and stems to see what the difference is.
    To be honest I hoped that was what this video was about... To help me decide which way to go 🙈🙈

    I have personally found that what helps longevity of flights is the points you use. For example I just ordered a new set of darts from winmau, their Fury’s. When I ordered them I also got them to install their winmau free flo points that eliminate that flat ridge at the front of the barrels. Just my two cents.

    I've used L Style flights for 6 months or so, with pro style stems, though most nylon stems will fit with champagne rings...
    The normal flights weren't great in my opinion, but the dimple version last a fair bit (a few months steady use).
    Also used Robson flights which were strong and lasted well..
    Look forward to trying out the Clic system for strength after watching this 🙂

    Every video I have watched has been informative, well explained and it's obvious that you care about getting people playing better darts so it annoys me when I see a dislike or a thumbs down. Probably annoys me more than it does you. You take the time to make these quality vids and I am very grateful. I am making small steps at being a better player and I hope my ne lw arrows that I'm waiting on atm might take me a bit further. In your opinion which are the best from 15-20 quid. I ain't rich lol.

  • @Stuffdexdoes
    @Stuffdexdoes Před rokem

    Dave, this video touches on a question I've had. Does the ruff edge of the standard flight actually effect flight for a pro? Or is it just cosmetic that you don't want shabby looking darts.

    • @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn
      @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn  Před rokem +1

      Yes as the flights get more damaged the more they effect the flight of the dart and not only that they become more prone to cause defections and robin hoods.
      And at pro level your grouping is much tighter so the darts clash far more often so cause damage at a faster rate in the old days a set of standard flights 50 microns would last me 2 hours practice or one match with super tough and others now its longer but nothing beats Harrows Clic for me.
      Hope this helps D Dave...

  • @basquetballerz1441
    @basquetballerz1441 Před 3 lety

    Dave, great video and thanks for doing this. My question is why do you think most pros are still using traditional supergrip flights and stems rather than the clic system you showed? I'm no pro but I used to experience a fair bit of robin-hooding so the clic took care of that problem. Just wanted to be sure there weren't advantages to the traditional that I wasn't aware of. Guessing the clic's are slightly too heavy/thick for them?

    • @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn
      @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn  Před 3 lety +1

      Personally I think there are a few reasons. Firstly until very recently Clicked couldn't be printed and 99.9% of pros have personalised flights. Just look how L style are doing after printing them up started. Also printed standard flights are provided to the pros in bucket loads for free. Whereas clic are about £10.00 a set inc stems 7.50 in blank form.
      So to sum pros change flights and stems every match and like I used to do after every practice session. With the clic they last for months.
      Cheers D Dave...

    I've been using L style for 2 years now, almost completely eliminates robin hoods (once in a while you'll pierce a champagne ring). But the flight's are perfect in my opinion. The prefect balance between rigidness but still flexible, and with the extra protection around the edges they last me forever (and I don't use spinners).
