Damn, your gas prices are crazy over there. Where I am in the states, it's $3.60 a gallon, that's 3.785 liters. So basically it's around .95 per liter here. You do however have some beautiful areas to ride, so that's a plus!

Hey Mate, I had a 2006- 2007 KLX250, KLX300, and a KLX650. I've been doing some research online because we are going to the philippines and possibly staying there a while so I'm REALLY considering the KLX230 "I can't handle riding a scooter it would do my head in" I've subbed as well and it looks like your in QLD, I'm in Hervey bay. where is that area? looks like fun, Stay upright and enjoy! P.S don't know if you have a bash guard underneath but highly recommend one saved my KLR650 a few times as it was a massive heavy pig of a bike =)
Hi Nige, thanks for the comment and for watching. I really appreciate it. I’m going to do another review of the 230; it’s a great bike…. Not so good on the highway or long commutes but in the bush it’s heaps of fun. There would be heaps of support for these bikes in the Phillipines, and being air cooled it would work better in the high heat/humidity (liquid cooled bikes boil in steep hot areas). I don’t have a bash plate yet, will be getting a ricochet one soon. I have fitted the manual idle adjustment screw from “bike heddonia” in the Phillipines 👍 it’s a game changer but I just need time to get out and film the difference. Thanks Carolynn, I have fitted a manual idle adjuster screw to the bike and it’s heaps better now. I grabbed it from Grace @ Bike Hedonia. No one sells anything like that here in Oz that I could find. I’m over due to post an update video on how it performs, but I will be doing it soon.
I have a 2022 KLX230S. The stock tires are terrible. You're brave for hitting higher speed off road. I found out the hard way
