    --- About Tall Tale TV ---
    My name is Chris Herron, and I narrate audiobooks.
    In 2015, poor control of my diabetes left me legally blind for the better part of a year. The doctors predicted an 80% chance I would never see again, but I changed the way I was living and through sheer willpower beat the odds.
    During this time I couldn't read or write. Two things that I had been turning to for comfort since I was a small child. With the sheer amount of stress I was under, this was devastating. My wife took me by the arm, lead me into the local library, and read out titles of audiobooks to me. I chose the audiobook versions of books I had loved such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter and more. They brought my favorite stories to life in ways I never thought possible, and helped me through the darkest time of my life.
    Once my vision recovered, I maintained a love for audiobooks. I decided I would turn my focus from being a writer to becoming a narrator. I devised Tall Tale TV as a way to help out all the amazing authors in the writing communities I had come to love before my ordeal.
    I created Tall Tale TV to help aspiring authors by providing them with a promotional audiobook video. A way to showcase their skills with the written word. They say the strongest form of advertisement is word of mouth, so I provide a video to a platform of readers to help get people talking. Help them spread the word.

    That was a great Science fiction Horror story . We don`t know are own planet , yet we broadcast to the cosmos where and how feeble we are . A Great moral story that reminds me of the great old scifi with a new wave twist .

      The thing is an advanced race may be wary of a race that sends signals into space showing what we do because predatory alien races may attract alien races with such signals to trick them into thinking they are an easy target so they can do what they want with them. Even sending a robot probe may be too risky. Aliens hearing our signals may think yeah im not falling for that.

    When it mattered most, she allowed her ego to overtake her survival instincts.

      @@Darocfi Do you realise that this "better quality" that he's producing is just audio of a guy reading someone's story? So, we can establish that this video has essentially the worst everything, in terms of all related to the picture, and I cam x conclude that the audio, seemingly with all levels maxed-out, has just one element to judge: the crackly voice recorded by a microphone that cost under US$30. It fails 99% of everything that can be rated.

    This is interesting. I find it hard to believe an omnipotent all knowing being would take advantage of Dr. Titus' complete ignorance. This great being is quite shallow, petty, and close minded in it's treatment of an innocent person. If thats the best the Universe can do, we are so screwed.

  • @TheLoneTerran

    I feel like it should be pointed out that a species that is almost completely ignorant of the Universe besides what it can see from it's home system and one also ignorant of a universal or galactic community and other freaking dimensions are going to be curious and proud of who they are and what they've done. They have nothing to compare themselves too. It seems extremely...well, ignorant, of an all knowing being to not understand that an isolated species is not going to know the etiquette of the dimensions/universe and things that would be taken as common sense for entities that had been around far longer. I feel like this set up was squandered as another typical 'humans bad' because our species has made many mistakes across our history as we try to build our civilization and culture. It feels rather pathetic that such a powerful being would be so offended by the equivalent of an infant, exploring, shouting, and learning.

  • @davebarry3238
    @davebarry3238 Před 5 lety +11

    This author lacks a lot of detail. First of all, it's a ship hundreds of years in the future and it still uses florescent bulbs?. Also, when she said to the computer, "so we're not moving right now?" The computer answered "negative" when it should have replied "affirmative". Saying negative to that statement means you are moving. Finally, the main character is a scientist that designs cutting edge propulsion technology but talks and acts like a 12 year old... "what the shit, you're such an asshole". She encounters an alien bigger than Jupiter that knows all the mysteries of multiple universes and dimensions and only has a 2 minute conversation with him... some scientist! At the very least she could have prepared for her journey to earth... supplies, warm clothing, food etc. The only way this story could have been salvaged is if the main character ended up being a 12 year old on present day earth, playing out this scenario in her imagination. That would have been a cool twist and explain the characters immature and impetuous nature.

    Boring. The equivilent of of a parent lecturing a child and only explaining "you will know when you're older." Rather thann breaking down the situation to a level they could understand. What a waist of a great premise!
    Btw she did ask. Dont set up a contrived choice by putting together a predictable and non-sensical conclusion. She enquired about her options but it ignored the questions then scoldered her on not making a "wise"choice without providing any information at bloody all! It coyld read her mind but purposely sent her to the wrong Earth. Was the author High!
    this irritating but well written mess leaves me wanting to avoid the aurthor as he does not answer any questions nor understands his own bloody themes.
