32:25 the insight I had this morning is that mindfulness is the fullness of my mind and when I bring the fullness of my mind to any given situation “this is me” the challenge is to go into the world with this mindfulness, to go into my life with this mindfulness. I am 82 years old, have been doing some form of meditation for nearly sixty years and this is the first time that I have had some insight about going forward into life. May I be mindful! May I be strong! May I be heartfull! 19/ 08/23
thank you for your company during the endless nights of learning to own my chronic pain, and the relative calm of your voice, your right a love affair with sanity, Yes thats what it is one moment at a tim e, just breathe Go well sir
The image of covid patients on a respirator to "just live" was familiar but disturbing for a meditation. These ad lib guidances can be too much to bear at times so i have to stop an otherwise good practice.
Dear Jon Kabat-Zinn, I apreeciate all your work so much, thank you for your guidance! However I would want to make a suggestion - in your video, you are saying that we are privileged to be connected through the internet and that we can only meet during these times (the pandemic) because of it. While I am grateful for the internet I might want to say that this might be too naive a reading of our time. To me it seems that we are - for the first time in history - are experiencing "lockdowns" is because of the internet. No one before would have ever closed down churches, kept people from gathering, kept families from seeing each other. The damage that has been done through all this is so immeasurable. And again, yes, I am grateful even for the lockdowns - given I enjoyed them a lot. However how privileged I am that I can even say this. So again, in case you should read this, please give it a thought: Let's not be naive in these times. Also not as meditators with a heart full of compassion. With gratitude, Angela
Soren & Wisdom 2.0 Friends, Could you kindly please provide the date of each of these meditation sessions whem you post them? Thanks and metta, Michael Sukhov 🙏❤
With all due respect, you continue to talk talk talk on matters I wasn’t even worried about, and you actually bring COVID/ fear, etc. themes up that do this one no justice. I needed to turn it off, despite the fact that I generally love your videos, and find them very useful. Thx for all you do.. offered in respect.
I think this was part of a series of practices recorded during the pandemics to help in that time of uncertainty… maybe they should adress that in the title or description
@@rebecaqueiroz1760 Yes, it was part of a 13 week global mitigation retreat that began as the lockdowns were happening. It started with JKZ offering his time on that one day, which then, as I mentioned, turned into 13 weeks of people from across the globe, many newcomers to meditation of any kind meeting everyday with weekends off. We met via Zoom for the first thousand people & the rest could find it livestreamed here on YT. The Zoom connection would be left open so that people who wanted or needed to could continue to connect & chat about anything. This was all offered free of any kind of charge. It was SO special but it's now a matter of "you kind of had to be there" type of thing that can't really be "told" because it was "experienced". Many of the people are still in touch & even practicing lead by others who are MBSR certified - still via Zoom, still free of charge. I agree with you, this should be mentioned/addressed in the title &/or description. Sorry for the lengthy response. Namaste 🙏🏻 👋🏻

🙏thank you Jon. I really appreciate your slow measure d pace. It's a welcome relief from most guided meditations that talk too much.
