  • I invite you to join me in this hike around Tubbs Hill, the most popular hike in CDA Idaho. Tubbs Hill offers beautiful views of the lake, city and nature, its a 2 mile hike with very well defined trails, and lots of nature to explore! Also one of my best selling images of Coeur d' Alene was taken from Tubbs!

Remember sitting up there, watching the hydroplane races for free in the 60's. Good times

As a kid in the 70s and early 80s we would swim the circumference of Tubbs then hit Hudson's for some burgers. Our motives weren't exactly pure though. Back then things were a little more freewheeling (the 70s were a trip in case you weren't there for them) and girls would sunbathe topless in the little sections of beach between the rocks on the backside of Tubbs. I probably burned 100,000 calories to get a once or twice a summer glimpse of a boob. LOL. The world was a lot different back then.
The hike to the top is a good workout. Good view too.

Some of the best beaches on the lake and a great place to swim, hike, cliff jump and meet new friends. 10/10

I am traveling going to Seattle. I am enjoying Oregon right now. The roommate in the hostel where I stayed talked about Tubbs and I’m so glad that I came across in your amazing vlog. Hope to pass by there. Awesome vlogs

    Here is my loooooong comment-
CZcams channels can sometimes provide a strangely personnel portal into some ones life, and with a click of a switch last eve we stumbled across yours. How unexpected, how lucky and deeply enjoyable that became for my wife and I. Over the years, CDA Idaho, Tubbs Hill, the Idaho pan-handle and that entire Spokane region have become deeply engraved in our hearts. We'll be retiring to somewhere 'there' within the next year or so. It would have been sooner, but INSANE home prices pushed our plans a bit, but we'll get there.
And so - Last evening while sharing a quiet glass of wine we began viewing our first Wollertz video, and the glass stretched into several glasses, as we found ourselves quietly combing around in your channel viewing 'many' of your videos - what a treat that became. You have quite a talent young man, indeed you are a great talent, not just in the art of photography and fine videos, but also with your distinct commentary, which at times was moving, educational, organically soulful and sprinkled with real world insights. Your videos and comments have such a beautifully tranquil yet gripping quality that they're just hard to stop watching! BUT - After almost 2 hrs of that (big shock for us) and into our second bottle of wine we had to call it a night. We made a note to reach out to you today to THANK YOU for truly making our evening so memorable! And we may visit there again tonight.... but will need more wine! :)
CZcams is a fickle contrivance: It makes absolutely no sense to us why your channel doesn't easily have at least 2,000 subscribers and +5,000 views per video, given the quality of the material you're presenting and the generous insights being continually shared, and all for free... it's just sad. But we found you, so in time many others will too, as will all the people we'll tell about you, your work and this channel. Fingers crossed for your success in all things!
I could have commented in any one of you many videos, especially mineral ridge, which we watched twice, ha... but this Tubbs Hill video quickly touched us, because we were right there on those trails just a week after you! We both made comments about it, saying; 'Right there, remember that's where we smelled the al the pine needles"... "Hey that's where we sat and had lunch, right there on those rocks!" What fun. Anyway - Any additional videos you could make in and around CDA, the resort, the Idaho Pan-Handle or Spokane region would be terrific! Thank you again Charlie, keep'm coming. >> Follow the dream, keep the faith, and never lose that passion for life that's easily seen in all you do!

Everything you said was amazing, thank you!!
I make a new video every Sunday and usually don't look back, I keep looking forward, so to see older videos gettin such great and inspiring reviews it just feels amazing. Thank you!
I lived in CDA for about 10 years, now I travel, I go back once or twice a year for jobs or to visit friends and family.
I plan on making a lot more videos there, just now sure when! 😅
Thank you for sharing my channel, I appreciate the support! it has been growing slow but it is steady, and with time, I'm sure It will take off. Its been over a year now that I make weekly videos, and like you I have a few people that comment and interact with me and now I feel like even if my channel doesn't grow any more I can't stop 😅I have people waiting for something new every week and that's a great feeling!!
      Thanks again!
I truly do appreciate the loooong comment!
